    part one learned:

    * can you lose your lip virginity if you eat a really hot slice of pizza?

    * "we will never give in, we will fight 'til the end, tomorrow we die!" sorry, got caught up in the swell of the speech...

    * i have a feeling Shakespeare and Jesus would have been bffs.

    * mollusks are people, too.

    * is Tristan gonna die?

    I am excited for this finale, Owen/Tristan, Becky/Adam, a play opposing homophobia, and best of all....a possible death? This Asher storyline is the only thing I can't predict fully (though I am still interested in the other two things moreso) Some are saying it's possible there was foreshadowing in last night's episode about it. And if Asher comes across Clare and Katie I can only imagine what would happen. I wouldn't mind a Clare death if it gave Eli very compelling plots in the next half of the season. But this is probably crazy speculation.

    part two learned:

    * macking > the play

    * bathroom closed until further notice for sexy pics

    * i'm thinking that kiss from Tori doesn't really count.

    * off-topic, but the woman who plays Jennifer has the most memorable role in the new Total Recall remake...

    * i wonder which part of the episode made Stephen Stohn cry?

    Well not the most unpredictable finale. Cheesy romance everywhere and no big shocking twist. Solid enough episode though, if not only because Becky/Adam is the cutest couple ever. Have them kiss before fading to credits instead of EClare you stupid writers.

    Anyways, Clare's plot, meh, meeting up with Jennifer was oh so convenient. Too bad those pics went to waste. And Katie being shoehorned into the plot was kind of irritating. Since when does Katie care about other human beings or is friends with Clare? Their girl power crap is pretty grating. Clare going to the Interpreter alone would of been a lot better for the plot.

    Next Tristan, how'd the hockey team get his phone? If he just walked in and they locked the door behind him wouldn't Tristan still have his phone? Whatever, if only Owen beat the crap out of Luke a little harder, maybe his brain would of started functioning. Because earlier in the episode instead of remaining silent to ease off suspicion he tries to say that a gay teen who has been working on a play for months is going to suddenly ditch it because it is morally wrong. What a smooth liar. At least Tristan got 2 kisses. If only Tori had been a boy though.

    And finally, the most amazing beautiful romance in the making to ever grace Degrassi, Becky became less homophobic and Adam finallly has a potentially stable relationship blooming. Except for the whole Becky's family would be completely intolerant of Adam. Yikes, that's a storyline I want to see. Not enough Becky vs Eli though.

    I'd say It was a letdown, but I went in with zero expectations. It was a damn solid closer, minus the Tristan plot being completely underwhelming, and the cheesy as hell Eclare moment at the end.

    This has got to be one of the cheesiest episodes ever.

    1. "Lip virginity" - really? Who came up that one? LMFAO when Tristan said that.

    2. Let me preface this by saying what Asher did to Clare was horrible. That being said, Clare came across as really annoying and self-involved inthis episode. First, she kept bugging Eli to help her get revenge, even though she knows he has a thousand things to worry about with the play. Then she comes up with THE DUMBEST REVENGE PLAN EVER: putting sexy pics of herself on Asher's computer. Wouldn't that just support his claim that Clare was obsessed with him?

    3. The only bright spot was Becky's willingness to fill in for Tristan at the last minute. I also hope the writers pursue the idea of an Adam/Becky relationship.

    Miscellaneous thoughts on the season so far:

    Dallas seems too much of one dimensional character. When he worked with Kati on the science project, I thought maybe they were starting to develop him a little further, but in the last few episodes he just seems like the stereotypical a**hole jock.

    Ever since Kati's injury, it seem like the character has been on a downward spiral. When she used the pep rally to embarrass Drew, it seemed liked something inside her snapped.

    I think Dave was right to dump Ali. Even though she's been busy, she should have at least tried to make some time for him.

    I thought she DID. Didn't she text him to say he could come over just before he sang? Wasn't she there at the party? She wanted to talk to him after her potty break (hey, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go). I think that they should have broken up anyway, because their lives were going in wildly opposite directions, but I wouldn't place all the blame on her. She warned him that she was going to have to sacrifice a lot for her chance of a lifetime.

    OK maybe it's not all her fault, but Dave just wanted to feel like he was still important to her.

    I never liked Dave/Alli together anyways, glad they broke up.

    As for the finale.. ehhh, underwhelming. But I enjoyed it, because like vgplaya, I went in with no expectations.

    ^ agreed.. i never could take alli and dave as a serious couple....alli alwas acted way too good for him, so when they finally got together, it was like o_0 .....

    - I dont think i will ever fully like the clare character at this point. to me, her acting is horrible, as well as her storylines. she was only good in seasons 8-TBP.

    - it was weird seeing dave kiss tristan, but very great for him as an actor, kutos to him. (never though jahmil would go that far as an actor).

    Jenna has no point on this show, and hasnt had one in a LONG time. she just always seems like a plot device. and her emotional scenes always come across as fake..idk, her acting is just off to me. Munro plays munro in the show, not eli.

    Posted this in the wrong thread. Gonna put it here: Part 2 Review:

    Tristan/The Play (A-Plot): I thought they'd make more out of him being missing than what they did, but its alright. It was nice that Tori was Tristan's first kiss. That was really sweet, but he's gay..so it kinda defeats the purpose. She also did it right in front of her boyfriend...I'm surprised he ain't say nothing. Didn't think Dave and Tristan would go through with the kiss, but it turns out they did. Looked like they were both astonished by it. Anyone call Distan (Dave/Tristan) in the future? . Im glad Becky changed her views. Just in time to be in the play too .

    Clare (B-Plot): I'm really liking the Katie-Clare friendship. I'm glad the girl decided to come forward with Clare. That's great. Now they both stand a chance against Assy Asher.

    Overall, this finale wasn't as intense as TBP or NON, but rather it was a sweet way to end things. Loved the music from the play .

    I shipped Bhandurner for the longest, but their relationship kinda sucked in retrospect. I'm still kinda sad they wrote KC off, but it seems like they havent had anything for him since the baby plot. and now they're still trying to figure out where the hell they wanna go with Jenna from here.

    Lmao, her plan was incredibly stupid, but she was smart in the fact that he WOULD have gone to jail for possessing child pornography. If he said "Oh, she must have planted that on my computer", it would of been his word against her's and in THIS type of case, he would of bveeen founded guilty. But on the downside, everyone would beleive that Clare was obsessed with him.

    If you are put in a situation where someone you look up to and admire all of a sudden does something like what Asher did to Claire, it can totally mess with your head. You are not going to be thinking clearly and very well may come up with some kind of hairbrained scheme. It happened to me (it was my doctor, a man my family had seen for years and was highly respected in our city), so I know exactly how she felt. I was so glad when that other girl finally spoke up. Sometimes that's all it takes. In my situation, one person finally spoke up (not me), and 36 others followed suit! Sadly, the creep died of a heart attack just a few days before facing trial. It was almost 30 years ago, and the "scars" are still there.

    There's a whole lot of selfishness going on this season isn't there?

    -Tristan going on about "lipvirginity." Eli moved amountainto give him a starring role in the play, have a little gratitude

    -Dave breaking up with Ali for... er, I don't know why actually. But he doesn't deserve her if he's going to make her choose between him and MIT

    -ClairewantingEli to sabotage the Observer, even though he's busy with the play, and probably can'taffordmany more strikes on his permanent record. Plus it's a terrible plan, any good defense lawyer could catch her in her lie.

    -Dallas full stop. It's debatable whether or not Katie "played" him, but to me it came across as Dallas thinks he's entitled to a girl's body if she so much as acts friendly towards him.

    I think Katie kind of played him, but your right that Dallas "thinks he's entitled to a girl's body if she so much as acts friendly towards him."

    Mike Dallas is Jimmy Brooks' evil twin!It seems to me that it's only a matter of time before he hooks up with Hazel's evil twin Marisol so they can be evil together.

    ^ lol true.

    I liked alli and daves chemistry in TBP because it was more of a cat and mouse game. where dave wanted her, but she wasnt as crazy about him as he was to her. I liked there slow friendship, the writers should have just left it at that..COULD have been one of the greatest guy/girl freindships in history of degrassi.

    If Clare had gone through with her plan, Asher would probably say Clare sent him the photos unsolicited and he didn't report it because he didn't want to embarrass her any further. Or he might say that they had a consensual relationship and that Clare made up the charges after he broke it off. Even if he did go to jail for posession of child porn or statuatory rape, Clare would still look bad.
