    So I watched the fist episode of this show and I have to say that, aside from the fact that it's A LOT like the Melrose Place 2.0 story wise, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it; as a matter of fat, it was kinda likable.


    But, the interesting thing is that the character that Cassie S. plays is pretty much Manuela Santos with a different name, so I don't know why they had to change her name when they could've just keep it and try to promote the show as part of the Degrassi franchise.


    Any thoughts?

    From what I've read, it was originally supposed to be a spinoff of DGH. Then, as they were writing the script it kept changing/evolving until it turned into a completely different show, and Cassie actually had to reaudition as the "different" main character. I'm posting from my phone, but later I'll post the link.

    I haven't seen it yet, evidently the CW picked it up and it won't be airing in the US until this summer.. Can't wait!
