In your opinion will the death of jt affect the 'effect' that tss has had on the series, I mean up until that point nothing that big had ever happened, and almost undoubtedly jt's death with surpass rick's mainly because he's been around more, and people actually like him, will you still have the same respect for tss that you did in 2004? Personally..I think this is the approach TNG should have taken in the first place, killing of a character that actually MATTERS rather than for shock value.

Um, they will mention JT's death for a few episodes this season then we will forget it like we did Ricks.

I know what you mean. I hope they make a bigger deal out of J.T dying than they did with Rick. Not only is J.T a main character and a friend to numerous characters on the show--but the way he dies is so brutal. If Degrassi mentions it a few times afterward and then just brushes it off...I will be very upset. I wanna see J.T's death take a toll on all the characters and hopefully develop some interesting story lines.

    Stop assuming.

We don't know that JT will really be the one to die.

    (/Sarcasm)

but seriously, don't post spoilers in the topic name.

Not everyone knows that there will be a death.

Like people who are browsing the Forums for the first time, I doubt they want the rest of the season "Spoiled" for them.

The rule I like to follow is that if it has been mentioned in a promo than it can be said without having a spoiler tag.

I truly dont' think a big deal will be made out of JT passing. I mean lets get real, he wasnt that attractive, he had minor silly roles, and he basically sucked through out this season. I personally wouldn't care, with Jt out the story I'm sure Peter will be given more air time, and I'm always up to seeing a hot guy instead of a stupid one.

I'd rather a good actor stay than some pretty boy unable to fully capture his character.

Regardless, JT's been around since season 1, he's gotten along fairly well with everyone. He's honestly a social butterfly, he could fit in with just about everyone: from the cool kids to the not so cool kids. And the fact that he was the mascot, a symbol of the school, and a decently loved character despite how much screentime he had or didn't have, and the plots thrown his way it's going to leave a decently sized impact.

Let's face it...the only thing that can overshadow JT, a major character death, would be more Sean/Emma moments...

I'm sorry, did you just say that Jamie was unable to capture his character? That is the most hilarious fib I ever saw written across a computer screen. Not only has Jamie been able to capture his character, but he also has been able to make ten of thousands of tweens puke at his evilness. I cannot visit one Degrassi board without someone complaining about Peter creepy, slimy, porn-star behavior-Do you not agree. Can you explain to me how someone who you claim is unable to "capture" their character and is just another "pretty face" make so many people feel such character-intended emotions?

if Peter had been the one to die, it would be like Rick all over. It's shock over the loss of someone that they didn't really care about. Because Peter was such a douche, and not as loved (because of his evilness) his death would be NOTHING compared to losing someone that's been a friend to nearly everyone and wasn't hated apart from the Lakehurst goons.

Why is JT being killed off? Is Ryan Cooley leaving the show or something?
