Degrassi: The Next Generation

Now I know what this season has been missing: those character-driven episodes that packed so much emotion. The Boiling Point had a few of those kind of episodes but the "In Too Deep" chapter has been definitely lacking in that.



This episode gave us hope though, with a great setup for part 2 with Holly J possibly having something seriously wrong with her. I liked how they didn't make this a Holly J/Sav episode, and just focused on HJ, after all, she is one of my favorite characters.



The Johnny/Ali thing was a nice twist. Now I didn't like their relationship when they dated in seasons 8/9 but they got redemption here. They both look like they've matured in a way, and I definitely would like to see these two get together again. Wesley was actually pretty funny, he's definitely the best of the secondary characters. Great episode overall, can't wait for part 2.

Holly J's health is in jeopardy, and instead of trying to get better, she ignores her symptoms, hoping it will all go away. Will her health be better?



Alli has been staying with old x-boyfriend Johnny Dimarco. He tries to convince her to go home, but his plan backfires and Alli runs away, again.



10th grade history class digs up an old time capsule, where the 10th graders, 3 years ago, wrote letters to themselves. Wes realizes he planned to do things, like set a world record. Will he be able to set one?



Good episode. If I Had to pick the weakest plot, probably Wes's, because it was just there and probably will not be important in future episodes. Holly J's and Alli's were both great. A+

Excellent episode! Holly J. is looked more and more sick as the episode went on. I wonder what exactly is wrong with her. Degrassi has dealt with stress before, but not as severe as this. I think I had what Holly J. has. I was so stressed out that I got really sick. It's very good storyline because today's students are more stressed out than ever. The end of the episode was really sad when Holly J. said she's really scare to find out if somethings really wrong with her. I loved seeing Johnny again. He's changed so much. I like his hair. Anyways, I love how he tries to convinces Alli to go home. I like the character Kayla but she totally ruined everything and now Alli is headed to Vancouver. Wesley trying to break a world record isn't my favourite plot at all, but I think it could be interesting if there's a group of people watching him do it. Anyways, I give this episode a 9/10.
