Degrassi: The Next Generation

Does anyone else think Degrassi is overrated this season? I definitely do. Nothing this season (In Too Deep) has really impressed me. Holly J's story line had so much potential in the last episode, I thought Degrassi was getting back on track, but this episode was a bit disappointing.



Many people were speculating what Holly J had, and her diagnosis was a bit of a let down. So she has the infection that causes strep throat, but since she left it untreated, serious problems could occur. You would think I'd be excited about this, but knowing Degrassi, nothing will come of this.



The Alli scenes were quite nice even though we definitely got an Alli overload this season, we got a great way to close out her story line once and for all. Wesley scenes were okay, I like his character, but this story line was weak. Overall, good enough episode of Degrassi: In Too Deep.

Fantastic Episode! It's one of my favourites this season so far. This episode had some really intense and awesome Holly J. scenes. It was really intense how Holly J. fell in class and hit her head on the table. I can't believe she had to get stitches. I love how complex this episode was. I love how Holly J. continued to be stubborn and sneaked out of the hospital. I was shocked and surprised that she peed during her presentation. That must of been so scary and embarrassing for Holly J. I actually was teary-eyed during that scene. It's intense her kidneys were compromised because of untreated strep throat and now she needs to have a course of dialysis ran. I'm hoping Holly J. gets better. This episode had the perfect ending for Alli's running away storyline. I love how Johnny called Sav, so everyone in the family knew she was safe. I love how Alli came home. I love how her parents really listened to Alli about her needed to be herself. I love how they will go to family therapy. Wesley's plot was less lame in this episode. I like that this girl Hannah is interested in him and that their sort of dating now.

Holly J is feeling sick still and does not know what to do. She eventually gets so bad she calls her mom to take her to the doctor. Will Holly J be OK?



Wesley does not end up breaking his record, but he meets a cute girl. Will he at least get a girlfriend?



Alli is robbed (wanted to punch that robber in the throat!) and comes back to Johnny Dimarco. Sav is there and after talking, Alli is convinced to go back home.



Good episode. The Holly J plot was my favorite, followed closely by Alli's (mostly because I liked Johnny in seasons 8 and 9). The Wesley plot wasn't as time-filler-ific as last week, but it was still mostly a time-filler. But the episode as a whole is really good. A+
