  • Sav becomes a rebel.

So some plots overcame others in this episode. Sav becoming rebellious all of a sudden was just okay. I mean, it did make sense, since his parents are completely over barring. But I just didn't like the way the writers took it. The highlight of this episode was Peter finally being involved with Sav or anyone for that matter in this episode. Does anyone not realize that Adam is a girl? Because if you ask me, it's pretty obvious. Sav works with Holly J on a fundraiser involving his dad's car. Adam ends up smashing the tail light, but Eli ends up fixing it. Once Sav tells the truth, he loses car privileges even though he fixed it. He is determined to go to the concert with Adam & Eli, and he's taking the car with him. That's left up in the air, but to tell you the truth, I'm not too interested. Meanwhile Jenna obsesses over her weight and turns to diet pills. Something not done on Degrassi, but this is the third "weight issue" plot, and I have always enjoyed them. First with Toby, then with Emma & Manny, and now Jenna. I like how they put a new spin on it with diet pills though. Did anyone else laugh out loud when Jenna was offended that KC said she should be Ms. December. I did. Fiona's plot wasn't too interesting which was surprising. She gets lonely, looks in to getting an exotic animal. And it's left up in the air. So the plot that overcame the rest was Jenna's. Good episode overall.

Week three of The Boiling Point is beyond us, and our ever spinning wheel of characters has landed on Sav, Jenna, and Fiona this week. It's a fairly lukewarm start to this week's dramafest, but at least tonight, everyone got their feet wet. Sav gets rebellious. He wins backstage passes to his favorite band's reunion concert, but since it's on a school night, his dad won't let him go. Jenna is concerned about her weight. Despise Alli and KC trying to comfort her, Jenna becomes worried when she can no longer fit into a pair of pants she used to be able to wear.

Fiona is lonely. She's all alone back in Toronto without her brother, and Holly J can't make time for her. Her therapist seems to believe that Fiona is desperate to make friends, even willing to spend money on them in order to keep them around.

Great episode! This episode wasn't as slow starting as "What a Girl Wants" Part 1 and "99 Problems Part 1". Sav rebelling against his parents and finally standing up for himself is good storyline especially if he's going to get in trouble. I love how Adam makes his first appearance in this episode. I was wondering how they would make Jordon Todosey's voice deeper, but I guess there's not much you can do since she's a girl. Anyways, I love how Adam smashed the truck with an amp. I love how Sac is going to the concert no matter what his father says. I love the continuation of Fiona being in therapy. Even though Holly J. is Fiona's friend, Fiona's still a loner. I was thinking she could have a cutting storyline or something, but it's highly unlikely since an abusive relationship storyline is the biggest storyline so far this season in my opinion. Jenna's plot was my favourite in this episode. It's interesting how she's become self conscious and it didn't happen all of a sudden. There's a reason; she couldn't fit in her cheerleading uniform. I think Jenna having weight storyline is excellent for her. She's not fat at all, but she's not as skinny as the other characters on the show, and so for her to feel self conscious is a great storyline for her. Bianca seems like she's a drug dealer or something. It will be interesting to see if she has a drug storyline. Jenna buying diet pills from Bianca definitely adds more to the episode. I can't wait for the next episode! I give this episode 8.4/10.
