  • Ashley's depressed so Paige and Spinner skip school to cheer her up.

    8.5
"I want Candy" is a great Degrassi episode. I think this is the starting point of the conclusions of storylines this season. Ashley is skipping school because she's depressed. I really didn't think her character had much of a storyline in season 3, but now that I think about it, she really had a a depression storyline this season. I mean in season 2, all her friends alienated her and it took her all seaoson to gain them back, and then this season her boyfriend cheats on her, and her best friend Terri goes into a coma. Anyways, I love of Paige and Spinner take Ashley out and they do rebellious things. I love Ashley visits Terri at the hospital. And I love how Ashley enter an Elvis Prelsy impersonation contest and won third prize. I also loved the Emma and Alex fight. I give this episode a 8.5/10moreless
  • Spinner and Paige skip school, and decide to take a depressed Ashley along.

    3.6
This episode is definitely not one of my favorites. Spinner and Paige skip school, and force Ashley (who's depressed) to go with them. Bad idea. All we do is hear Ashley whine about how horrible her life is while Spinner and Paige try to cheer her up. Her dad's gay, Craig cheated on her, blah blah blah. Get over it. Many of the other characters had it worse than her, like her friend Terri whose head was split open after her psycho boyfriend pushed her down.

I could go on about this episode, but there's nothing more to talk about. Ashley, aka "The Queen of Doom" ruined this episode with her "poor me" demeanor, even though this was a filler episode to begin with. This IS the worst episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation, even worse than "The Power of Love." I mean, they skipped school and went to an ART MUSEUM. Need I say more?moreless

I cannot believe people didn't like this episode. Definitely one of the most underrated episodes in Degrassi's run. We got some classic interactions, a girl fight, heartfelt moments, a Terri appearance and just fun memorable Ferris Beuler-esque story line.

It brought character development for Ashley. Definitely was a turning point for her. In a way, it was for Emma as well. She really let loose in this episode, which just goes to show how something like a scary diagnosis can affect you.

The ending was amazing: Snake goes in to intermission as Paige & Spinner drive off in too the sunset. We also got a really fun dine-and-dash scene in there too. It was great to see Terri again. Overall, great episode, definitely one of my favorites.moreless
  • It was alright...kind of lacking that Degrassi pizzaz though.

    7.0
It was alright...kind of lacking that Degrassi pizzaz though. Not much happened... Paige and Spinner get fed up with school and all the stupid work they're getting piled with. (What kid, especially in high school, doesn't??) So guess what? It's hookie time!!! :D Oh boy!!! So Ashley's still at home moping, I forget why... Too many things have happened to her (no pun intended. :P Ok maybe a little...) to keep up with. Paige finds out that Ashley is home alone, so instead of just dropping off Ashley's school work, Paige decides to take her with her and Spinner for an afternoon on the town. Spinner objects because he knows it won't be any fun. He's proven right for most of the episode. Then there's some Elvis impersonation singing contest, Ashley enters, wins like 3rd-ish...maybe...I can't remember. So the other 2 are convinced she's not a dud. (Oh, and her little performance was the result of Paige's rant to Ashley's face to shape up... Most likely Paige lost it because of Spinner's constant whining... I don't blame her.) Ashley's mom returns home as Paige is pulling out of the driveway after dropping Ashley off. Duh her mom gets suspicious, sees the trophy, and demands to know what's going on. Ashley starts using cliqued Elvis lines, cracks up, makes her mother laugh too, so they're both sitting on Ashley's bed laughing their heads off, happy as clams, and that's the end of that episode. (I forget what the other storyline in this episode was. :P Oopsie daisy... Guess my review's cut short... Darn...)moreless
  • It was ok....

just nothing happened! just alex and emma got the jacking in the halls of degrassi. emma finds mr. simpson's will and through out the day emma's patience is tested by evil lexie. finally emma gets sick of alex's crap and fights her. which you can see when the fight was over alex was really trying to eye up emma like, "i can't get mad at you, you beat me like a woman" look.

ashley has been skipping school lately after still being heart sick over craig. then paige and spin decide to skip school themselves and pick up ashley to cheer her up. after ashley has a crappy attitude throughout the day, paige sets her straight that she is not going to ruin her and spinner's day and she needs to get over about what craig did to her throughout the year. finally ashley dresses like elvis in a talent show where she finally lightens up her attitude.moreless
