Degrassi: The Next Generation

Marco is taking pictures in a photo booth for his student council election poster at the store where his Mom works and Dylan kisses him in the fourth picture. Marco starts getting worried that his mom might have seen them. He rips off the picture with him and Dylan and gives his Mom three pictures, leaving his Mom suspicious.

Dylan is upset and clearly shows that he has had enough of hiding their relationship from his parents. Dylan calls Paige and not Marco, and Paige says he's probably busy with a secret society at college or something. Paige and Alex get in a little fight because Alex tripped Paige.

Marco learns that Alex is also running for student council president. Craig, Hazel, Spinner, and Paige agree to help with whatever it takes to get Marco to win, knowing that Alex is competing against him. Dylan breaks up with Marco because he can't handle hiding their relationship all the time.

Marco is upset about Dylan breaking up with him, and when his Mom wants to know what is going on, he reveals his secret. Marco tells Paige the next day and she is extremely happy for him. Alex rips down Marco's posters and says who would people rather vote for: the freak or the queer?

Marco decides to quit the campaign, but his Dad is really proud of him for doing it so he has no choice but to face the crowd. He and his Mom hug as his Dad leaves. Marco tells Alex that she really has a chance to win even without calling him queer in front of the whole school. Alex considers this as Jay takes her away.

Alex gives her speech and instead of calling him queer, she calls him the pretty boy. Marco feels a sense of relief and as he says his speech, Jay screams out queer. Marco comes up with a really good comeback, and then everyone starts cheering for him. The results are in: Marco is the winner!

Marco appoints Alex as vice president. Dylan and Marco go outside and Dylan congratulates him. Marco says he is really happy that Dylan came and that he told his Mom. Dylan already knows and is okay with him not telling his Dad yet.
