  • Anya organizes "Free the Children".

    9.0
"Ladies Night" is an awesome Degrasi episode. For some reason, Anya became my favourite character and if she's in any episode, then it automatically gets a high score for me. In this episode, Anya finally stands up for herself. I love how she's organizing "Free the Children" because we get a sense of her personality and that she likes to help people. And I love how she proves that Holly J. is a manipulative b!tch with recording Holly J. eating a cookie. Now, I love Manny and Jay, but once I didn't like the subplot. I guess it's because they break up in this episode. I give this episode a 9/10.moreless

Not a bad episode of Degrassi, just not the best. The plot wore thin, and I think it mostly got a bad response because of the focus on the new character, Anya. But I think her character became three dimmensional after this episode, and she finally grew a personality.

Degrassi gradually introduced her character as the dyslexic girl, and her characters has progressed over time. Honestly, I was sadly disappointed that there wasn't some sort of actual cat fight between Holly J and Anya. If someone looked at you funny, you'd get a beatdown in the earlier seasons of Degrassi.

Jay & Manny breaking up this late in the game just left fans wondering why. They had great setup the entire season, just to be messed up by this. I know this couple didn't get a good response, but seriously, they deserve better than this.

A fair episode, not the best episode of Degrassi, brought us character development and plot development.moreless
  • It wasn't that bad, but wasn't that great either.

    5.8
I enjoyed this episode. I know alot of people didn't. The one thing I have to say is that it was really slow paced, but I still got enjoyment out of it. It's definetly not among one of the best. It was pretty mediocre. I love the Sav/Anya relationship. It did not suprise me when Holly J told Anya about Sav. She is a backstabbing bit*h. They are so cute together. The subplot was not that bad, but Manny/Jay relationship is nasty and random. they are both good looking characters, but the way they hooked up was completely random. Damian and Emma are pretty bad as a couple too.moreless
  • Season 7, Episode 20.

    9.6
I enjoyed this episode. The storyline for Anya and Holly J. was original and very, very enjoyable. I will start with Manny and Jay's plot. Jay goes back to his old ways and steals the engagement ring that Manny pawned for plane tickets. It was a little sad to see Manny go through that. Manny does go through a lot of drama, with the abortion and love triangle, and all the wrong men... I feel bad for her. Meanwhile, Anya and Holly J. argue after Holly tells Anya about Sav's arranged marriage. That was pretty cruel. I did enjoy how Anya set Holly up to eat the cookie, but it was mean of Holly to order the pizza. Very good episode, in my opinion.moreless
  • A bit predictable but still good

    9.4
Okay so lets start with the main plot aka Holly J and Anya. I know that Holly J treats Anya like dirt and all but Anya's atempt for revenge was a bit amature. I mean she offred Holly J the cookie and Holly J ate it then everyone saw? The whole cookie thing was great since Holly J got a taste of her own mediciane but in genral it was a poor attepmt. I mean thier straving themselves for almost a day or so anyone would have taken the cookie. I know I would if someone offred it to me. I personally think that Anya should have just confronted Holly J in a mature matter instead of the whole payback thing. I mean theres nothing wrong with payback but you have to have some creativity and a great eye for revenge. Taking the cookie was common sense I mean really look at how everyone got when Holly J ordered pizza. Everyone was crazy! Which renforces the idea that Anya's plan was a bit lame.

Now lets go to plot B. I don't know about you but Jay and Manny are the most annoying Degrassi couple yet. It's like they have so many issues it's too much to explain.Thier plot was very boring.I was happy they broke up. My fave line was.

    Manny: Your a criminal

    Jay: Well your a b****

    (eventually Manny cries)

It was hilarious and sad at the same time.moreless
