  • Darcy is still dealing with the fact that she got raped, and she gets crazy.

"Live to Tell" is just a fantastic Degrassi episode. In this episode, Darcy is still dealing with being raped. I love how she's just turned completely crazy because of it. I mean she's flirting with Mr. Simpson. And I think she attempts suicide again in this episode, by almost jumping off the school roof. It's really sad how she accuses Mr. Simpson of sexually abusing her. I actually don't mind the subplot. I usually don't like the Ashley and Jimmy plots in season 7, but I like Trina. So I'm kind of glad that Jimmy breaks up with Ashley for Trina. I kind of wish Ashley broke up with Jimmy because I like Ashley more than I like Jimmy. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless
  • Favorite episode of Season 7.

I absolutely love this episode because Darcy dealing with her rape storyline was amazing, best of the 7th season. It was so gross when she was hitting on Snake though, he's like 20 years older than her. I hate the part when she said "I like snakes better." So cringe-worthy. I also love how Emma stood up for her father. And when she's on the roof, it's a powerful scene. I hated how Manny kept saying "She's been through a lot" It was so annoying. I loved when Emma said, "Are you here to make things worse." Oh yeah, & when she cut her hair, another powerful scene. A cringe-worthy moment is when she is tell her parents that he touched her in the wrong places. Poor Snake. I loved when Peter broke up with her. "Your just... hopeless" Also "That ring belonged to virgin Darcy, I am not a virgin!" One of the best & most powerful episode of Degrassi.moreless
  • Darcy's greatest A plot ever!

Okay now, it's really crazy that the writers go from a horrible episode to one of the best. I loved this episode. Darcy is really acting up now! This episode was cleverly plotted with intwining Mr. Simpson, Emma, and Johnny DiMarco in it. Even the B plot was very good. Jimmy starts to fall for Trinai and he breaks it off with Ashely. This episode was slightly disturbing and depressing. Darcy acted like a slut when she tried to have sex with Peter on the roof and then she tried to do it with Johnny DiMarco. Then she goes for Snake and starts feeling on his arms and stuff. She even draws a disturbing ass picture of a snake with boobs or balls. I ecspecially liked when Darcy called her mom a **** "Good to know you haven't changed. Your still a **** HAHA! This season has all of some of the best lines. Also when Darcy bumped into Holly J and said "Oh, poor baby. You'll be fine." Plus she threw away her abstinece ring. And then she blamed Snake of sexually harassing her. The whole episode was well written. Darcy is makng season 7. Then Emma comes in and confronts Darcy loved it. Then Darcy grabs the scissors and cuts a strand of her hair. It was DRAMATIC! Then she trie to commit suicide yet again. I liked Jimmy and Trinia together too. So glad Jimmy broke up with Ashely. This is a Degrassi classic. Very Dramatic.moreless
  • Darcy finally begins to heal with her rape.

I thought that this was one of the better episodes this season. I mean it was something Degrassi has never showed us. Although i have to say it's about time Darcy began to deal with her rape. I know it was hard for her to cope with but this is no way to deal with it. I wanted to slap her so bad, but when i say things like that, that usually means that i really enjoyed their acting or storyline. I dont like how the situation was resolved so easily. I know it's a half-hour show, but they could've split it into a two-parter or at least made the impression that what Darcy did wasn't going to go away so easily.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • The first time Darcy is on the roof (with Peter) she looks over the edge and we get a POV shot in which the camera pans down from the background to the grass directly below the building. In that shot we see a person in the background on a bicycle riding towards the school, and in the foreground we see a blue car driving off to the left. Later when Darcy is on the roof again (this time with Manny), we are treated to the same POV shot - only this time played in reverse!

    • The song playing while the Spirit Squad is practicing is the same song played at the party in "Rock This Town", and at the end of "Don't You Want Me" (Part one) when Alex starts pole dancing.

The song is "Hustler" by Femme.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Bruce: (about Darcy to Johnny) Come on man, don't waste your time with her. She still has her whole abstinence ring.
Johnny: Oh right, God says ski trips with pretty boy Peter don't count.

    • Ashley: So what Jimmy, you want me to just walk away?
Jimmy: I'd do it myself if I could.
