Degrassi: The Next Generation

"Mr. Brightside" Part 2 is an excellent Degrassi episode. This episode was so much better than part 2. It was so intense how Drew, Owen, and Julian went to an underground fighting place. I think they're illegal. Anyways, it was so intense how that guy wrapped his legs around Drew's neck and then Drew lost consciousness. I loved the scene when Drew reveals to Katie about being jumped by the gang and how he's scared and that he needs to fight to feel like a man. It was really intense when Drew wanted a rematch, and he beat the guy, but he just kept punching him in the face. It's interesting that Katie has a green belt in Taekwondo. I'm hoping Katie teaching Drew Taekwondo helps him relax a bit. I love how Alli told her parents that Dave was her boyfriend and that she just wants to be honest with them. I love how they accepted that. They really have changed. I love how Dave and Alli's dad both like to play poker. I love how Alli won the poker game. I loved Holly J.'s plot. I love how Holly J. apologized to Dawn (even though I still think Dawn was being selfish, but I can guess I can understand her point of view) and said she just wants to get to know her. I love how Fiona buys Dawn's prom dress, giving her $20 000, the money she originally wanted. I love how Dawn decided to donate her kidney to Holly J. I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Drew- this was pretty interesting. him getting his butt kicked and then trying to get tougher was well played. him losing it near the end and kicking that guy's butt was kinda weird to see. it's also kind of weird that he and Katie are pretty close to being a couple, at least that's what I got out of it. I don't really think they'd make that good a couple, but i guess at this point, only time will tell.

Holly J- I don't really agree with her saying she was selfish to Dawn. I mean, Dawn was selfish too, wasn't she? 20,000 dollars? I mean i understand her reasoning behind wanting that, but... Holly J needs a kidney or she could die. I dunno. I'm happy Dawn is going to go through with the surgery though. I have a feeling something is going to happen that will change Dawn's mind, or something bad will happen during surgery.

Dave/Alli- it was really nice for Dave to be himself around Alli's parents. i like that they don't have a huge problem with them dating. They're strict parents but something about them feels off. The ending of this plot, with Alli learning she is going away all summer, was well done, too.
