Degrassi: The Next Generation

In continuation to Drew getting in a fight with Owen and Fitz in defense of Adam, Adam's mom suggests that she moves schools, meanwhile everyone else continues to be cruel to Adam, including Bianca. I thought Bianca was Adam's friend, I hated the how she picked on him, that was just plain mean! Clare continues to be a great support to Adam. Things seem to be working out until Adam's mom wants him to back to Gracie. So she does that for dinner but then starts completely going back to Gracie as she goes back to school then she starts hurting herself by burning herself. That definitely hasn't been done on Degrassi either, so the whole plot was just fresh right out of the oven of ideas. Now lets see, cancer has been done before twice. But I like how in this case everyone reacts to it differently. And Anya reacting to her mom getting cancer was fantastic, and I loved how they managed to fit in her finding out about Sav & Holly J. I love the friendship/enemies dynamic Anya has with Holly J. And in this episode's case, it was both. Dave's plot continued to annoy me. Everything else was fantastic though as Adam goes back to being Adam. Great episode.

Fantastic episode! Another episode with some intense scenes! I love how this episode portrays Adam's point of view and at one point you get see Adam's mother's point of view. It's intersting how Adam's mother wants him to be Gracie for the family dinner and Gracie shows up. It was interesting to see that Adam's mother misses Gracie and that she doesn't understand why Adam can't be Gracie. My favourite scene which is probably the most intense scene is when Gracie is burning herself. Degrassi has dealt with cutting but never burning. It was great for them to deal with a new issue. I love the ending with Adam burning all his clothes but he kept one pictures of when he was Gracie. Anya's plot continues to be intense. The scene with the volcano and the expression on her face was so sad. Samantha Munro perfects crying scenes. When Anya tells Holly J. her mother has cancer, and she starts crying, it's hearbreaking. I liked Dave a lot more in this episode. I love how he apologised to Miss Oh and made her smile. Anyways, I give this episode a 10/10.

adam does not know what to do so he decides to go back to being Gracie. Anya finds out her mother has cancer. Dave wants to make Ms. Oh laugh because he thinks this will help him do better in her class.



great episode, probably the best of the season up to this point. everything worked well and all the plots were good, albeit Dave's was sorta weak I thought. But Adam/Gracie's plot was great, I liked the end a lot and Anya's plot was sad, her dealing with her mom's cancer. I give this episode an A+, great show!
