  • Terri's is getting abused by her boyfriend.

"Never Gonna Give You Up" is an excellent Degrassi episode. It's definitley one of it's best. Terri is my favourite character and this is my favourite storyline's of her. Terry gets in an abusive relationship with Rick. It makes me so angry seeing Rick trying to control Terri and trying to manipulate her to make him feel better. It's so heartbreaking when he hits her. I'm so glad that Hazel noticed that there's something not right with Rick. I'm glad that Terri breaks up with Rick at the end of the episode. The subplot was alright. I didn't care of Spinner getting so upset with Paige hanging out with JT. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless
  • Good

Rick abuses Terri, and her friends are concerned. Terri does not know what to do so at the end, she breaks up with him.

Spinner and JT pull pranks on each other.

Good, one thing about Spinner's prank about making Manny think JT was farting... you hear the noise and think it is a fart, but Manny (and the people around), would have had to have smelled the fart. But, obviously there wasn't going to be a smell because it wasn't real. There's no thing as a fart that doesn't smell, so that did not work, i did not think.

    Still a good episode, A+moreless
  • chevygirl57, I will have you know that no one deserves to be abused and it's not their fault. There is NO excuse for an abusive relationship-period. Don't ignore the warning signs like Terri did cause they are usually there & no one deserves to be abused.moreless

Don't keep quiet because you could end up like Paige and lose your best friend. Fathers~ it is important for you to communicate with your daughters that they are not alone and to all girls out there if you are witnessing one of your friends being in an abusive relationship, you need to speak out. She may get mad, but you could be saving her life. If you're being abused, you need to get help and get out of it as quickly as you can cause once you get out there's no turning back. Stay safe Look before you leapmoreless
  • Rick starts abusing Terri, and she's smart enough to not let him get away with it for very long.

    8.8
I thought this episode was very well done and convincing. Mainly because they didn't make Rick a supervillain, and they didn't let Terri put up with him for too long. You could really see that Rick is a budding abuser. He's almost as shocked by his own behavior as Terri is, but he's unable to control himself. As a grownup viewer, I hurt for Rick even more than for Terri and hope that he gets the help he needs before becoming an adult wife beater.

I love this show as always, and this episode is one of the reasons why.moreless
  • Give Him Up Already! Rick is a total freak! Terri is always the victim...

    9.4
Rick is a freak as we see in future episodes like

"Don't Dream It's Over" and "Time Stands Still." The episode was pretty good. It accurately grasped the "abusive boyfriend" storyline. This the second time that Rick shows up in the season and "Don't Dream It's Over" is his last in season 3 before he returns in season 4. Anyway this episode was all about Marco's theatrical performance, "Mama, mama, change the channel..." 4 Stars final score.moreless
