Emma's life, especially at home, is in complete chaos and she feels she's losing control of everything she cares about. Desperate to find an answer, she finds a solution after Manny mentions that she's fat. Meanwhile, Snake tries to get back with Spike.
Paige wears the same pink sweater that she wore in "I Against I" when Spinner offered her and Alex information on Jesus. This can be seen when Manny bumps into her during lunch.
Snake dresses up in tuxedo, with a bouqet of yellow roses and serenades Spike "Sometimes When We Touch" at the mall, in order to win her back.
Emma: You think it's funny to point at the tub or lard? it's not. i know what's wrong so you can stop pointing it out!!
Manny: When was the last time you ate?
Emma: Couple of days ago. But I feel fine.
Manny: But you look sick!
Emma: Hunger is a feeling, Manny. Thin is a skill.
Emma: (approaching the scale) Now for the moment of truth.
Manny: Could I...go to the bathroom first? That's gotta be half a pound.
Manny: It can't be healthy to be this full.
Emma: We could get rid of it.
Manny: How, by barfing?
Emma: Desperate times call for desperate purging.
Manny: It's not called purging, it's called Bulimia.
Emma: (smelling the Mousakka) Oh my God, Ricotta.
Manny: (smelling it as well) Cream and butter and everything else I've seen in my dreams.
Emma: ... Mom, management.
Manny: That should burn a few calories.
Emma: I sincerely hope so.
Manny: You're a stick, and you're insane.
Emma: Look around! Crisis is an epidemic!
Manny: My thighs are an epidemic and they're taking over the world!
Emma: Do you know how much fat is in just one chip? I brought you celery. Celery has negative calories, because you burn calories while you're chewing. And, this. (hands notebook to Manny)
Manny: I'm not eating paper, no matter how many calories it burns.
Emma: What are you doing?
Manny: Baby pedicure.
Manny: (Talking to the rotating pizza) Please stop saying my name, stop....Manny...Manny.
Emma: This is just so typical Manny, giving up when the going gets tough.
Manny: It's one slice of pizza, Em!
Emma: It's strach and fat and grease! Why not just pour poison down your throat!
Manny: Okay, there's a little too much crazy in here! (Many leaves the bathroom and enteres the hallway. Emma tries to follow but grows dizzy and faints)
Paige: Twigs and berries. You girls practicing to be on Survivor?
Emma: It's called a diet.
Paige: Totally wishing I had your will power. When bathing suit season comes around prepare to be hated by a jealous me.
Manny: Suddenly I'm stuffed. When are we running that mile? Or five?
Manny: Crisis down here
Emma: Look around you crisis is actually an epidemic
Manny: My thighs are an epidemic and they're taking over the world
Manny: Em you are offically my lifestyle guru, like Bob on Oprah!
The Nelson-Simpson family are sitting down to a family dinner to celebrate Spike's and Snake's reunion.
Snake: I have an annoucement to make.
Emma: You're going to, finally, stop calling each other by your high school nicknames?
Snake: Not a bad idea, but no!
