  • Marco comes out (part 2)

"Pride" part 2 is a fantastic episode. I love this episode because it's actually a lot more intense that part 1. I love how Marco comes out to Spinner. It's heartbreaking that Spinner doesn't accept him. I love how the rest of Marco's friends accept him. It was heartbreaking when Marco got beat up. It was such a sad scene to watch. For once, I love Jimmy in this episode. I love how he was a good friend to Marco and he accepted him right away. Snake officially has cancer in this episode. It's very sad, especially when Emma finds out. The good thing that came out of Snake having cancer was Manny and Emma became friends again. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless

Marco comes out to his best friend Spinner. Spinner is very homophobic and he is very hostile to Marco. Spinner gets a sharpie marker and writes a degrading comment about Marco on the bathroom wall. Jimmy sees this and says next Spinner will write something about him being black. during gym, Spinner hits Marco in his stomach with a volley ball and he falls down. the teacher yells at Spinner and tells him to volley not spike. Spinner gets the ball again and once again he hits Marco with the ball and he falls down again. later, Marco is verbally and physically abused on his way to meet Jimmy, Spinner, and Paige at a hocky game. Marco is harassed because he is gay about 4 or 5 guys suround Marco and ask where he is going. Marco says he is going to meet some friends. one of the homophobic guys is holding Marco with his arm around his neck and he is rubbing his hair and telling him he is pretty almost girl-pretty. the guy holding Marco drops him on the ground and they start attacking him. Marco tries to crawl away but there are too many guys. when the police come, the thugs run leaving him bloody and bruised. the cops chase after the ghouls exept for one woman cop who comes back when she hears Marco crying softly. the woman comes back and sees Marco fidgeting uncomfortably. the lady crouches over him and tells him not to move. Marco stops fidgeting but he keeps whimpering. the lady starts cleaning Marco's wounds. Marco whimpers as the lady cleans his wounds. Jimmy hears sirens and runs outside to see if Marco is there. the woman holds jimmy back until he says he is a friend. the lady says Marco will be fine. Jimmy gives Marco a hug and he begins to cry. Jimmy tells Marco he's going to be just fine and everything is okay. Jimmy tells Marco he's there and he isn't going anywhere.moreless

This is one of my favorite episodes of all time. Overall, Season 3 was the strongest season in my opinion and this was just the height of the season for me. Marco's struggles with his sexuality reached their peak here and I loved the way he came out to Spinner and the conflict that arose. I also loved how Jimmy was there for him when he got beat up. I really liked the scene at the end with Marco and Spinner in the bathroom. Spinner didn't think he was as bad as those other guys who beat up Marco, but just because he didn't physically hurt Marco didn't mean he was any better than them. Being one of Marco's best friends and unable to accept him for who he was made the pain even worse.

The subplot in this episode was excellent too. Snake getting cancer was terrible because Snake is just an awesome character, such a nice funny guy. But that's life--the people who don't deserve these things are often the ones to get them. Great acting on Miriam's part especially at the end when Snake gets the call. She is the best crier on the show IMO.moreless
  • The Spinner thing doesn't even matter

    6.1

We learn that Snake has cancer and everyone's world comes crashing down. I actually feel really sorry for Emma, for the first time ever; and I hate Spinner even more if that's possible. He alienates Marco just because he is gay...GROW up Spinner, its not something you can catch. Sure he eventually accepts it, but it is still annoying to watch him be so nasty to Marco.
  • In this part of the episode it makes a point. There are many people who dont like people who are like Macro and Dylan and they will sometimes handle it the same way as the people in this show did. Then others wouldnt mind people like them.moreless

When I first saw this episode it just blew me away.I mean Iknow some will handle the problem like that, but others wouldn't. Also when watching this it makes you see that people like Marco and Dylan have a lot to deal with and dont know how to handle with all the people againist them. Its not fair when we say we dont like it.What they go through is hard and many wont understand on how they go on day after day make the outside look easy when on the inside it is really hard for them to deal.moreless
