This was just an amazing Degrassi special, one of my favorite Degrassi episodes of all-time. Declan tries the hardest he ever has for a girl, and the hardest anyone has ever tries for a girl "like Holly J", although I have to admit that Holly J has gotten better this season. From the commercials I had seen advertising the special, I would of guessed Declan didn't gain Holly J's trust until the end of the special, but actually they start dating, skipping classes, and making out with each other with about just less than half an hour to spare in the episode. Declan wants Holly J to tell his mom, who is a judge in the panel for an award Holly J is bound to get. Holly J objects to the motion at first, but decides to be honest about it. Unfortunately, his mother doesn't like it, but unknowingly to Holly J, she doesn't know that the judges still choose her to win the award. At the ceremony, Declan pulls Holly J from backstage behind the curtains, and they start getting dirty: starting taking each others' clothes off when Holly J is announced the winner and they pull back the curtain, to see Holly J's shirt unbuttoned, and everybody taking a nice look at her bra. This really pisses Declan's mother off, and Holly J is upset at how Declan doesn't try to upset his mother and date Holly J anyway. In the end, though, Declan takes charge and tells his mother off: he and Holly J are dating, no matter what she says. Good job, Declan! At first, I didn't like him because he was tearing one of my favorite Degrassi couples, Spinner and Jane apart, but now I really like him and Holly J together. Meanwhile, Leia thinks Danny is taking her for granted, and follows the advice of Chante and breaks up with him, waiting for him to beg for her back. Chante, secretly, has a crush on Danny, though, and thinks this is her chance. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of this whole love triangle thing, and I never started liking Leia. I always thought her character was just too boring. Anyhow, in the second part of the episode, Dave tries to get Conner more comfortable with the other, older guys on the basketball team, but all they do, especially a guy named Ethan, is laugh at him. But one day, Dave finds a binder of statistics for every player that Conner has been keeping all season. He tells Conner to show the coach. He does, and after reading it, coach decides that Ethan's stats have been soft this season. He decides to start Dave at point guard the next game. So Conner gets a little positive attention from others on the team, and Dave, a freshman, gets to start in a basketball game! Now you've seen everything.
