After Makepeace finds out Mara is part of the Sicilian Mafia, she tells Dempsey to get out. He does not and Makepeace follows him. She gets captured and the kidnappers, who have been informed about Dempsey's identity by Coltrane, force him to take part in a security depot robbery. Makepeace can escape but when Dempsey comes back to the junkyard, Butch tells him Makepeace was shot. Dempsey goes looking for revenge and nearly kills Coltrane, but is stopped at the last moment by Makepeace. She stops him with these words: I care about you Dempsey. But I swear if you shoot I will shoot. Later Dempsey says that her saying she cared about him, was what stopped him from shooting Coltrane.moreless
