Show Summary

  • Ended
Based on the comic strip created by Hank Ketcham, the young blonde boy with a cowlick and a mischievous personality became an instant hit in comic books, a live-action sitcom during the 60s, and finally, this popular animated series. Dennis is an impulsive, angel-faced little devil who is always getting into scrapes and exasperating his next-door neighbor, the curmudgeonly Mr. Wilson (voiced here by Phil Hartman, the much-loved comedian of Saturday Night Live and News Radio fame). The animated Dennis, voiced by Brennan Thicke (son of TV star Allan Thicke) and accompanied by friends Margaret, Tommy and Joey and dog Ruff, finds himself involved in all kinds of wild adventures, including international espionage and trips into the past - but always manages to save the day. A premier syndicated attraction and an American classic.''moreless

  • I always used to love watching Dennis the Menace in my Younger Days.

This in my opinion was one of the best cartoons during the mid 80s era. The animation was good for that time. The plot was almost perfect. However, the plot was at the same time very unoriginal. It reminds me of shows such as Charlie Brown and the Litle Rascals, how all the kids, Deinnis in particualr, would terrorize the neighborhood. Margaret would be Darla off the Little Rascal, the sassy red-head gilr that was sneaky and hardly got in trouble. I particulary liked Mr. Wilson, because I would love to hear him speak and steam up. So other than the unoriginal plot, the show is a for sure classic.moreless

I think this was a cute show! I used to watch it every Saturday morning when I was a little girl. My mom always recorded the shows for me. I showed the videos to my sister and she loved them. I wish they would bring the old shows back. The kids would love them, and it's better than the shows they show now-a-days.

I love Denice the Menace cartoon! But as a little kid in the 80's, they never really aired it on any channels close to home. So i always looked foward to going to my grandma and grandpa's (who happened to live 600 miles away) to see it on their channel 60 or something near Zanesville, Ohio. I didn't even wanna leave their hosu eone mronign because an episode was coming on!

This carton is neat too because it is identical to the comic strip.moreless

  • Everyone seems to have them, the kid next door or the kid down the street. He gets into everything, but even tries to help others out, but at the same time always finds trouble. This cartoon was just that.moreless

Dennis The Menace was the perfect title for this classic cartoon. Everyone loved Dennis, least everyone that didn't live near him, but everyone loved Dennis as well. Dennis tried his best to help everyone out, but the big 'T' always followed him around. Trouble was never far away from Dennis. I wonder if that's his middle name as well?

I think this is what made this cartoon so special. Dennis wasn't the troubled bully that picked on everyone, but he was the gentle kid that tried helping everyone out. His little mind always got the best of him. That boy had an imagination.

Mr. Wilson (his neighbor) was a grouchy old man that never could get away from Dennis. Wilson would have to move to outer space in order to be satisfied and way from Dennis forever. Deep down you knew that Wilson cared for the boy, but Dennis was always bothering Mr. Wilson at the wrong times.

I us to watch this cartoon on our local WB station. Sometimes it comes on in the morning.moreless
