Designing Blind

Show Summary

Designing Blind from A&E follows acclaimed designer Eric Brun-Sanglard as he assists couples in refurbishing their homes. Eric, who has performed astounding renovations on properties in Los Angeles, must qualm the attitudes of the couples who often have clashing tastes. But this show has an even bigger twist than tension between couples, Eric is blind! To make the situation even more intense, Alex, Eric's co-host reveals that the confused couples must complete their designing project with Eric blindfolded. As the process unfolds, it becomes clear that Eric "sees" in completely different ways. In the course of the makeovers he teaches the couples to control the feelings of fear and lack of trust that come from the inability to use eyesight while they learn to use their other senses to transform their homes. In the process, Eric finds that sometimes he not only transforms the way the couples perceive home design, but also the way they perceive all of life.
