      • (Backstage at a fashion show) Julia: Well, I'm glad that's over. (Julia crosses over to the water cooler as Mary Jo is combing her hair). Julia:I mean, isn't it silly? Frankly, I wasn't even sure what you were mad about. Mary Jo: (whirling around to face her) Excuse me? Julia: Well, I might have been just a little condescending, but you had to admit, you overreacted just a tiny little bit. Not that it matters now, I am perfectly happy to accept all the blame because our friendship is more important. Mary Jo: That's because you're a saint, Julia. (Getting up to face her) Boy, are you a piece of work. I cannot believe that you are saying that you don't know why I was mad. I think I was pretty damn clear! Julia: Well, obviously there is more to this than some silly letter. Mary Jo: My letter was not silly! Julia: Now Mary Jo, you know I don't mean it like that. I'm just saying obviously you got something stuck in your crawl but I don't think this is the perfect time or place to discuss it. Mary Jo: Oh really? That's what my mother used to say. You know what, there was never a right time or a right place! You wanna know what I think? I think this is a great place and a perfect time because I for one want to have it out because I have had it up to here with your 'I for ones' and all your other holy pronouncements that come down from Mount JULIA! Julia: Well, far be it from me... Mary Jo: OH! And that is the expression I hate the most! Thank you so much for reminding me. It epitomizes that superior attitude that you use like a sledgehammer on the rest of us! Julia: Mary Jo! Did you or did you not ask for my opinion of your letter? Mary Jo: I said PROOFREAD IT! That means SPELL CHECK! And as for your opinion, and let me make this perfectly clear, I think I speak for the majority sometimes we don't want to HEAR your opinion! Sometimes we don't even CARE if you have an opinion! And sometimes, and maybe you want to write this down, Julia, sometimes your opinion is WRONG!!
