After meeting with the psychiatrist, Bree finds out that Orson steals to spite her and her business. Orson says he feels belittled and unnoticed by Bree's incessant attention to her company and continual disregard for her duties as a wife and friend. In order to mend the damage caused and uphold the traditional values she preaches, Bree calls an previously interested buyer and tells him the company is up for sale.
Struggling to balance motherhood and a career, Lynette faces the difficult task of working with an unsympathetic boss who happens to be Carlos' ex-girlfriend. A straight shooter and hard nosed believer in overtime, Lucy says the team will be working all Friday night to work on the project. Lynette attempts to change her decision by buying her a glass figurine for her collection. The trinket is quickly placed aside, away from her collection and Lucy curtly reminds Lynette that Friday nights, the time of Preston 's soccer games, have been made permanent work nights from here on out.
Lynette is not the only one struggling to cope with Lucy's utter disregard for family time. Gabrielle misses Carlos and sees that his over exhaustion is affecting their sex life. She attempts to woo him by wearing lingerie one night and forcing him to perform his duties; however, Carlos proceeds to tie her to the bed for the night when she is inconsiderate of his lack of sleep to provide for her and the family.
While Gabrielle deals with a husband who will not provide, Susan deals with an ex-husband who is too provided for. As Susan struggles to keep her job and make a new life for herself at the school, her ex-husband enrolls his son and forces Susan into a difficult place when his son paints morbid pictures in art Susan is forced to inform the principal and explain that the parent of the child is her ex-husband, when profane sentiments are exchanged during a parent teacher conference.
Mike, Katherine, and Dave drive out of Wysteria for a weekend camping drip. Edie takes this as an opportune time to dig up dirt on the accident that killed Dave's wife. The man at the news press faxes Edie the article in the newspaper of Mike, the man who was not charged with the death of Dave's wife and child. Edie finally receives this fax in the nick of time when she finally puts paper into the fax machine and texts Dave "I know everything. Come home" just as he is about to covertly shoot Catherine during her hike with Mike. The vibration of the text throws his aim off, and the bullet misses Catherine but is close enough to scare her and Mike of illegal game hunters. Dave runs to them, pretending to be concerned for their safety, and they ask to return to Wysteria as soon as possible.
Just as Bree is about to sell the company, Andrew reminds her of her accomplishments and success. Bree declines the offer and decides to maintain her traditions but not at the cost of her happiness and success.
Gabrielle decides to take matters into her own hands and takes the children to Carlos' workplace. Carlos is overwhelmed with happiness to see his family and Lynette plots to use their children to revenge her Lucy-caused anguish. Lynette lets the children into Lucy's office and lets them play with the beloved figurines, saying to herself "well, I can't stop you if you want to." Lucy walks in to her office infuriated and yells at the custodian for bringing her children to work and for lacking fluency in English, assuming that the children are the custodian's. Carlos sees this, and the children run to him. Lucy apologizes, stating she did not know the children were his. He says whether it is his children or not, she has no right to mistreat people and punish those who have families. He proceeds to fire her.
Susan later calls her ex-husband again but does not involve the principal when his son draws an even more morbid picture. Her ex-husband explains that his wife left him two weeks ago, and that his son is expressing his emotional pain through art. Susan's ex explains that he now knows how Susan felt when he left her and apologizes for the pain he has caused.
In the end, Dave returns home to find Edie drunk on the stairs. She proceeds to yell at him and tell him to explain everything. He does but attempts to strangle her when she starts to call Mike to warn him. He lets go in time for Edie to breathe, and she leaves for her car. As Edie is driving, she sees Orson in her lane and swerves to avoid hitting him. She unluckily hits a telephone poll and is electrocuted. Orson flees the scene.
