  • Lynette Bakes A Cake To Art, The Neighbor Who Saved Her Life At The Supermarket. Bree Invites Gloria Hodge To Dinner While Mike Returns Home.

This is a great episode to follow the events of the supermarket drama. I liked how all kinds of things happened here. We finally met Orson's mother, Gaby returns to New York and Mike is suspected for killing Monique. The episode centers to the new neighbor, Art. The best scene was when he and Lynette convinced to Parker that everything is okay. But as the episode unfolds, everything is never what it seems. The ending scene was frightening and it brought me the chills. Those kind of men should be killed off from this world. It was also nice to see Karl Mayer again. He is funny as hell. A great episode.

This episode was so amazing. Julie and Austin hook up and start making out, only to have Susan find them. Julie ends up on Austin's motorcycle with him, as he rides away down Wisteria Lane. Gabrielle decides to go back into modeling, and travels to New York. Bree must put up with her mother-in-law, who is out to get Orson. But the best storyline of all was when Lynette comes home from the hospital. She decides to bake Art a cake, but when she goes into his house to deliver it, Parker runs into the basement, where Lynette discovers pictures of naked boys. This episode was so entertaining and so dramatic. It is, without question, a series classic.

Great episode! I thought they would be more sad that Nora died even though Lynette didn't really like her. I wonder if Kayla knows and how she will act about it. Lynette was so weird with I am going to bake you a cake. He is a protecter man!! And he takes pictures of kids. Now he doesn't seem like that nice guy anymore. That other girl is funny when she says fine I will go to the supermarket. Andrew is so funny when he said to Bree can we call her grandma? I love Andrew so much. He is so funny!

Gloria (to Orson): “I gave you life; you know I won’t hesitate to take it away”.

If you had a mother like this I bet the prospect of being orphaned would be a somewhat more appealing lot in life as this week, Orson is given a rather reminder of his past and suffice to say, Mr Hodge is far from happy to see the woman who gave him life again.

Then again in a way, Orson does have himself to blame as the way he kept evading Bree’s questions in regards to his mother’s whereabouts was his downfall. The way Orson quite harshly tried to get Bree off the scent only made her more suspicious. I think Bree was able to see through Orson’s protests of not wanting to see a vegetable version (not in the literal sense) of his mother because otherwise, she would’ve dropped it and respected her husband’s wishes, right?

This is Bree we’re talking about and no longer the compliant type she went out of her way to track the exact retirement home in which Gloria was occupying and upon visiting the mother from hell, Bree quickly realised that Gloria was far from the senile old bat that Orson had told her she was. What’s with the lies mate?

That’s exactly what Bree wants to find out and so she unwisely springs Gloria from her retirement home and into the Hodge household much to Orson’s horror. These two have an ongoing feud which neither is ready to make Bree or the audiences as to why but for one of them, keeping schtum is beneficial in the blackmail department. That would be Gloria, which already makes her fit into Wisteria Lane quite perfectly.

With Gloria home for dinner, we’re treated to another memorable dinner scene with this particularly dysfunctional clan as Orson and Gloria can’t help but lay into each other and when this mother and son have at it, neither is exactly polite in their disapproval of one another.

It turns out that Gloria’s pathetic first attempts of buttering Orson up were because she wants out of the retirement home he’s confined her to and in a moment of sheer inspired malice, Orson happily tells her that not only does he refuse to let her out of the place she can’t stand but he also sold her home and belongings to help pay for the very retirement home that she despises.

Just like her son, Gloria isn’t in any way fond of being told what she can and can’t do and openly expressing to Orson that she wished she had smothered him as a child, causing Andrew to ask whether or not they could call her Grandma. Well she’s pretty vindictive so I’d say she’d fit your family just fine, so have at it. No wonder Orson hates her guts; the only thing that shocked me was that he didn’t try to choke the ****

Gloria then uses Bree’s naivety against her and tricks her into going in a car with and driving it into a fire hydrant. Bree and Orson spent this entire episode taking different view points to Gloria with Bree ultimately siding with the old boot instead of her husband. There’s a limit on which elders you should respect and on this show, it’s quite a limit.

That being said Gloria still wins out because whatever she has on Orson, he’s desperate enough to hide it and to allow the old bat to move in with him and his new family. Dixie Carter makes for a wonderful villainess, whose acerbic putdowns make you sympathise with Orson all the more, while wondering what will happen next between mother and son.

And this isn’t the only thing of sinister purposes that makes me wonder what is going on as this week we learn that there is more than meets the eye with the seemingly kind new neighbour Art, when Lynette discovers something very unpleasant about her hero in the hostage situation of last week.

Lynette first began to strike up a friendship with Art, even going to the extent of wanting to bake him a cake and unlike Bree or Susan; Lynette is hardly the kind who goes baking for her neighbours at random so depending on her cooking, Art should consider himself a lucky guy. There was another reason why Lynette wanted to get to know Art as well.

When the Scavo spawn found out from the one of the kids in their school that mad Carolyn had shot their mother and killed Aunty Nora, Lynette and Tom found themselves in a pickle. You can’t blame them for not wanting to worry their children especially given that Lynette survived but at the same time, a small town like Fairview and it was only a matter of time before even their kids found out about the supermarket fiasco.

Porter and Preston reacted pretty funnily asking Lynette if she got to keep the bullet so they could use it for show and tell while playing hostage games of their own. Parker, the more sensitive child was so scared of losing his mother; Lynette had to get Karen McClusky to get her groceries in the market, so Lynette had to enlist someone to put Parker’s mind at ease.

That person was Art who along with Lynette pretended to be a superhero called Protector Man. It took Parker a bit to actually buy it and it helped that Art conveniently had a T-Shirt with a “P” sign on it as well. Yeah it was the start of a beautiful friendship.

So it kind of stinks that when Lynette and Parker stop by to Art’s house to drop him off a cake that in fairness looks more like Lynette bought as opposed to have made that Parker’s curiosity lead him and Lynette to a basement full of toys and disturbing photographs of young boys.

I’ll ask the obvious question – is Art a paedophile? Those pictures would certainly suggest so and the conspicuous manner in which they were on display and it so, this is an audacious topic for Desperate Housewives to cover and is likely to be given a more fascinating run than the regular covering of this dark subject on shows like Law And Order: Special Victims Unit but at the same time, this show is also great for throwing ruses and who is to say that this isn’t one of them?

Speaking of handling, could Susan’s reaction to the very thought of her sixteen year old daughter having a boyfriend be anymore silly? I understand that no parent wants to see their kid about to move a few bases with their new honey but Susan’s reaction upon seeing Julie and Austin together was as if someone threw sulphuric acid all over her face.

Granted Austin is far from a prize and Josh Henderson’s acting is still pretty wooden but once Susan chooses to handle Julie’s desire to have a relationship of her own in a pretty childish manner in which she handles any other obstacle within her life that even the similarly emotionally immature Ian can’t side with her.

It also turns out that using Karl as the bad cop is another one of her failures when Austin informs Karl of Ian and Karl finds that his ex-wife’s love life is more discussion worthy than Julie’s. Richard Burgi’s return is always welcome but he really is wasted in this episode.

It also doesn’t help that Susan’s other attempt of enlisting Edie is a disaster too for her. Edie feels that Julie and Austin will run their course but is mostly too busy rubbing into Susan the fact that she has Mike and not her. Mike on the other hand is too busy having his house searched by cops looking for his toolbox which in a surprising moment we learn that Karen McClusky hid for him. When she mentioned blood on his wrench you do wonder if he is guilty of something.

Last but because it’s the least interesting storyline of the bunch, Gabrielle decides to resurrect her modelling career and after a strained meeting with her botox obsessed agent she finally snags herself a gig.

However tings have changed and Gabrielle is no longer the hot thing she once was in the modelling world. New girl Tanya gets all the pretty dresses while Gabby is forced to play a frumpy housewife and a photographer who once shot her barely recognises her and when she tries to work her unflattering outfit to her advantage, Gabrielle is given a much overdue reality check and for once I actually feel bad for her. Not a huge lot but a little bad no less.

    Also in “Children And Art”

Housewife of the week: Karen McClusky helping the neighbours like Alberta From with neutering her cat Baxter, Ida Greenberg with taking her Christmas lights down and some other neighbour with painting their garage door blue. Plus the sly lady blackmailed Edie into handing over Mike’s lawnmower.

Karen: “I found those pictures of Mike and Susan you threw out”

    Edie: “Pictures?”

Girl Scout (re Vogue Magazine): “Are you sure?”

Gabrielle: “I should be I was on the cover”.

I’ve just noticed that out of all the regulars so far the only ones whose families such as parents or siblings we haven’t met are Lynette and Mike’s. We should do at some point.

    Art: “A cake?”

Lynette: “Yeah, I never make cakes so this is huge”.

Bree: “Andrew its delicate no-one wants to hear sad news on Christmas”

    Orson: “That’s true”.

Even though Andrew has been pretty pleasant this season, am I the only who found it weird helping Bree out with the Christmas cards?

Ian: “Why do I have to be a fussy snob?”

    Susan: “Because you’re British”.

Marcella (to Gabrielle): “Isn’t that ironic since I’m the one you called a career obsessed **** who will die alone and be eaten by her cats?”

Did anyone note how irked Gabby was when Tanya was bragging about sleeping with Dirkin? I have a feeling that Gabby did the same as well.

Bree (re Orson): “How do you disappoint him?”

    Gloria: “I refuse to die”.

Tom: “And we’ll all see Aunty Nora in heaven”

    Lynette: “Or wherever”.

Although the continuity from “Bang” is good would a funeral sequence for Nora have killed the show? Also why didn’t Susan/Julie tell Karl about the hostage situation of last week?

    Dirkin: “Just make it work”

Gabrielle: “Just need a moment to get into character”.

Gabrielle wanted to be Hot Mom and Big Sister to Tanya’s risqué daughter. This is one of the few episodes where Eva Longoria’s beauty shines through.

Karl: “If you don’t care about my feelings then I don’t know what I’m doing here”

Susan: “Your feelings? My God! You’re the worst bad cop ever”.

Lynette (re Art): “He’s sort of a superhero”

    Parker: “Give me a break”.

The Opening Credits are back again this week. Nice to see ABC keep using them.

Gloria: “I should’ve smothered you as a baby”

Orson: “Now there’s the mother I know”.

No Carlos this week but everyone else was present and accounted for.

Andrew (re Gloria): “So can we call her Grandma?”

Chronology: About a week since “Bang”.

Not a patch on the excellence of the previous episode but “Children And Art” deals nicely with the theme of innocence being shattered through the harsh realities of what life subjects people to and the stories involving both Orson and Art make proceedings suitably dark.
  • The end of this episode is very shocking!

I found that this episode was like all others; clever, charming, funny, except at the end it all changed and became sinister and creepy. I do love this about Desperate Housewives, where they take a completely likeable character and reveal a hidden secret that transforms all the opinions you ever had about them. The new neighbour seemed really sweet, charming and normal but when his shrine of half naked kids was shown everything changed. I don't normally have bad dreams but after watching this episode I had one and it creeped me out! I can't wait to see what Lynette is going to do about it!

I knew this episode wouldn't be as good as the classic episode "Bang" from last week, but as usual Desperate Housewives shows us all what an amazing show it can be. Lynette returns home from the hospital after being shot last week, and thanks her new neighbour for saving her life, Bree get's too know Orson's mother, which leads to some absolutely hilarious scenes. Gabbie's return to modelling was well written, but it was too bad that she had to play "The Mom" in the photoshoot. With some hilarious lines, awesome writing and a shocking revelation about the new neighbour, who wouldn't love this episode?

Amég nem léttam, sajnos nem tudok nyilatkozni. Szeretném megnézni ez most olyan nagy dolog?

I'm very satisfied with this third season of DH: I like the new characters and the mysteries that come along with them.

I'm talking about Orson's past and his relationship with his mother, the link between Mike, Monique and Orson and finally I'm referring to Art's collection of young children pics...I was a bit shocked when I saw it, I would have expected that he had something strange but this looks very disturbing; I want to see if they'll come with a surprising explanation or if he's what he seems, a pedophile or something similar...

Another thing that I liked is the decision to give more visibility to Julie's character: never liked her, but I think she deserves more space in the show, and Edie's nephew is perfect to reach this goal.

Character development is very important in a show like this, and I think that the authors are doing a very good job!
  • DH this week was fun and chilling at the same time.

One of the most creepy things that a mother could possibly witness was done by Lynette. After forcing her son to befriend the man that saved her life, she realized that she had opened the door to a pedophile. Who is this creep and what is he possible of?

The scenes with Gabrielle were cute, although a little far fetched because she was clearly more attractive that the younger model and her 80\'s hairstyle. Is it just me or do others like the thought of Julie finally getting some with the bad boy neighbor. She\'s always the responsible one so I think it\'s time for her to let loose and have a little fun. As long as she doesn\'t loose site of who she really is. I don\'t quite know where things are going with Bree and her new stepmom moving in. Sounds like we may be getting more details on Orson\'s past.
  • Yaay! Karl's back!

    8.5
    "Great"
This episode was quite surprising. I loved seeing Karl back and as his usual self. I sort of felt sorry for Susan since she still has unresolved feelings for Mike, but I don't understand why she still has a relationship with Ian even though he seems to be perfect for her... except the fact that he is married as Austin pointed out.

I liked the ending of this episode. I wonder how they are going to play this out now that Lynette knows the new neighbour's secret.
  • Not as spectacular as "Bang," but it continues everyone's storylines along in an entertaining fashion and had a major revelation about the new neighbor Art.

    9.4
    "Superb"
While this episode was not as spectacular as last week's hostage situation, it definitely had a season 1 feeling to it. I personally enjoyed all of the storylines (with only minor exceptions to Susan's). Lynette comes home from the hospital and has to deal with her kids reactions (and now a new revelation about neighbor/hero/possible pedophile Art). I think this storyline with Art is very good and willfinally give Lynette a lasting superb story arc.

Gabby tries to go back to modeling after a little girls selling magazine's makes her realize she may have nothiong else to do. However, this doesn't work out as well as Gabrielle thought it would when she realizes she is older and isn't the star she once was. I really liked her storyline in this episode... it was funny and tragic.

Bree tries to bring Orson and his mother Gloria back together. From the start, Gloria looks like a very interesting character and it seems like she knows about Orson's secrets. Andrew's remark about Bree's holiday letter being full of denial was funny too. I look forward to see how Gloria presence will progress the mystery in the next several episodes.

Susan was the one storyline that I was less taken with. I enjoyed the overall point of the storyline. However, the scene with Ian and Susan walking in on Julie and Austin gave me a somewhat negative reaction (I'm not sure if it was the writing for the scene or if it was just the overall feel of the scene... it felt a little like early season two to me). The theme of the episode was good... being about children not realizing how dangerous the world it and it being our job to protect them.

The progression in the mystery was decent. The police search Mike's house and cannot find his toolbox (turns out Mrs. McKlusky had it... but did she just hide it from the police? It wasn't stated how long she had been holding onto that key to Mike's garage). Also, we had the introduction of Gloria Hodge and the quarrel between her and Orson (possibly about Orson's secret). I will grant that the episode felt a little slow at the start, but it finished big with the revelation about Art and progression of all the storylines. In addition, the preview for next week's episode looked really good. Plus, in the 10th episode, Alma Hodge is supposed to make another appearance.

  • Interesting and well written, but of course nothing could top last weeks episode. Spoilers.

    9.3
    "Superb"
I started watching this episode knowing that there was no way that it could be as good as last week. But that doesn't mean it didn't have me just as intrigued. Not a whole lot really happened. First there was Bree and her crazy mother in law (I'm really dying to find out WHAT Orson is hiding). And the fact that she said to Orson "Now give me a kiss to make it look real" near the end makes me wonder if she really is his mother. Hey, maybe SHE killed Alma!! I love Andrew. He's such a lovable bastard. He always makes me laugh. Still not seeing a lot of Danielle (which is fine by me, she's been so whiny lately). Next we have Susan and her daughter fighting again. Nothing new there. Birds gotta fly, fish gotta swim, and daughters and mothers gotta fight. I'm really digging Julie's relationship with Austin. I knew that hostage situation would bring them closer. And, Oh my God, how cute is Ian?? I loved it when he and Susan walked in on Julie and Austin and Ian just kind of mumbles, "I'm not getting any tonight, am I?" and then later when he's trying to help Susan out and he gets really flustered when he agrees with Julie about something and he just kinds of spits out "You're a very naughty girl!". And I absolutely loved having Karl back. I've loved him from the get-go. And the fact that he was more upset about Ian and Susan's relationship then Julie and Austin's had me dying laughing. I also loved how Julie and Austin turned all the adults against each other and got them off of their backs. Then we have Edie and Mike. Blah. Kind of bores me. I really miss our old Mike. I mean I know he got hit by a car going like 220mph, but he's so emotionless! And Edie was so very hysterical this episode with Mrs. McCluskey (Edie to McCluskey: "Don't you lie to me you old prune!"). Seems that Edie would be thanking Mccluskey for hiding Mike's toolbox from the cops (but then again, I don't know if Edie knows, she seems clueless). I love Mrs. McCluskey. She was funny with Lynette as well. Speaking of Lynette, I can understand why she wouldn't want to tell her kids about Nora dying and her being shot, but she should have known they were going to find out eventually. I like how the twins handled it (whining because they wanted to bring the bullett to show and tell). It was so funny to watch Lynette beg Art for help because her kids were having a hard time with the hostage situation and Porter and Preston walk by in the background with one of them shouting, "You're my hostage, so keep moving or I'll blow your face off!". I could totally feel for Parker though. He is so attached. First Lynette kills his imaginary nanny (last season??), now his mom's been shot. Geeze, talk about the therapy that kid is gonna need (espeically after the basement in Art's house, although I don't think he realizes anything is weird yet). I was totally and completely freaked out by the photo's in Art's basement. Part of me wants to believe he really is a good guy and there is an explination, but the other part of me knows, hey--it's Wisteria Lane, bad things will follow. Gaby of course, was her usual self. It was fun to watch her beg her boss to get her a job. I felt so bad for her when she showed up on that set and was the mom character. You could really tell that her ego took a huge blow. Where's good old John Rowland when you need him (Oh yeah...getting married)? Well, I think that wraps up this weeks episode. Hopefully they can keep the many mysteries juicy and entertaining. They seem to be back on the right track this season.
  • Season 3 a continued success over Season 2. SPOILERS*

    "Great"
This episode obviously not as action packed as the last, but still good. Lynette back from the hospital, Gabrielle back to modelling, Bree meets her new mother-in-law, Susan sets boundries for Julie and Edie moves on Mike.

It was good to see the new neighbour, Art, who managed last episode to save Lynette's save. The whole Protector man or whatever seemed effective with Parker and apart from him possiblity being a pedophide, he seems nice.

I felt sorry for Gabrielle, making her feel like old news, which doesn't make sense cause she is hot. But good to see she is staying in Wisteria Lane.

Bree meets her new mother-in-law, which reveals that Orson is hiding something for sure. Which could relate to Alma or Monique or something totally different.

Susan thinks she is losing control of Julie for dating Austin, (we see Karl for the first time this season) and soon finds out that Mike is dating Edie. It seems that Ian is the only thing going good for her.

Many stories and mysteries that are yet to be uncovered, but so far it has been good and the storylines are strong.

After last weeks fantastic episode, I am not sure how the writers will ever top that one again, but anything can happen, they have done it before.

This episode was very interesting regarding the new neighbour, although it will be a touchy subject it will also stir something big in wisteria lane, is this a case of pedophila or just pictures of students (maybe he teaches an all boy swim group ...unlikely!!) this season is set to be an explosive one if we go by last weeks encounter.

Gaby tried to go back to modelling, and with a few adjustments hot mum would have been great but she did not like being pushed to the back while someone else had the limelight, what will she do now, again something brewing there also.
  • Gabby failed at a secon dchance at modeling, parker was afarid his mother would be killed. Bree met Orsen's mother, Julie had sex with Austin.

"Children and art" was fun and an extreamly advintureous epsode. I wanted to see more about what their lives were like afer the shooting, but i'll just have to wait. The viewers learned a good lesson after what happened to gabby with the modeling. They also did a goo job with the parker/lynette situation. Marc really knows how to bring a show back from a slomp. I can't wait to see more of Orsens mother, i want to know what he's hiding, I can't wait. this epsode was grat and i can't eait until the nest epsode airs. I love Dh

Although it didn't live up to 'Bang', it was still a good episode. I liked each housewives storyline, especially Bree's. I've never seen any of Dixie Carter's work before, but seeing her as Orson's mother was very entertaining. I was mildly dissapointed of the somewhat lack of trauma left over from the hostage situation. But I guess people on wisteria lane get over those things quickly. I would have liked to see more mystery in it, but oh well. Susan and Ian are growing on me, I don't really care for Julie and Austin, but whatever. If it's one thing this episode didn't lack, it was humor. It was thouroghly funny. I am extremely excited for the rest of the season; it started a little drab, but now it's really interesting. Gabrielle's return to modeling was very enjoyable. I felt bad for her, for once... poor Gabby =[

AS for the rest... Edie is still evil. She should be nicer to Susan... and where did Kayla dissapear to?
  • The follow-up to last week's dramatics set the stage for more explosions to come.

    9.3
    "Superb"
I thought for sure we'd have a filler ep after last week but instead, the writers keep pushing more great storylines forward. Dixie Carter continues the tradition of mothers who, in the space of one episode, explain how their kids turn out the way they do. The way she minipulates Bree into dinner was fantastic as was the showdown with Andrew and Danielle watching the fireworks. I am so looking forward to her staying with the family and just what secrets she holds over Orson.

It was nice to see Karl again, if only briefly and it was perfect that Susan's attempts to get him to help just blew up in her face. But at the same time, they don't let it drag too much with Susan making it clear she just doesn't want Julie to get hurt. Once again, it's a great dynamic between them that makes thier scenes work.

I love how every now and then we get to see the way Gabrielle just takes it for granted she's still the hot and beloved figure she once was. Her agent was a hoot to watch and it was fun seeing Gabrielle pulling out her Norma Desmond at the model shoot, assuming she was the star of it. Her expression when the agent put her in her place was moving as she realized she couldn't go back to her old ways like she assumed she could.

The plot of Parker freaked out over what happened was natural as was Lynette's attempts to deal with it. I have to admit, having that new neighbor be an apparanty pedophile was unexpected. Didn't he have a sister living with him? That last shot of Lynette gazing after him as Mary Alice talks about "Doing anything to protect the children" does not bode well for the future.

We got some new mysteries with Mike, interaction with Edie and overall, a great episode that promises to build on all the fun we've already seen this year and the best is yet to come.
  • Ok...this episode was great! It didn't beat last week's "supermarket shoot out" or the week before "ding dong"...but it was great in its own way!

This is mainly because every week, every episode, every installment of 'Desperate Housewives' is hot, exciting and down right funny!!!

My favourite part...through out the whole episode, was Gabby's "two old model body"!!!

    How hilarious was that?!

I mean, Gabby, who use to be on the cover of 'Vogue'...has to pose as a mother!

Well i guess the key word should be "use to"!!!

Anyway, that was oh so funny.
  • The new neighbour became a hero ... and a pedophile!

Exciting episode. I think we all hoped for a bit of a closure on the auntie-nora's-death and Carolyn, but oh well - they still made it count.

It appeared that Orson was hiding something. In the fact that he didn't want his mother living with him so badly, may point to that she might compromise his life of some sort; well you know, he killed his wife(?) and ran over Mike, I think it's ok that we start revealing him abit. Or he's just a drama queen and they had their differences and he really is cold if you will.

The thing that somewhat got me railed up (why there are still five tenths to 10.0 not filled) was the situation with Karl. He came, turned into Susan, hysteria-wise, and was fustrated with Austen.Well anyway, the topic drasticly changed from "Hi, you're the man doing my daughter" to Susan's relationships with Ian. I think it was a little out of character. Knowing Karl he overrated a bit. First of all, he was the one having an affair. And he's judging Susan in relationship issues? He didn't have a problem with Mike or Dr. Ron. So what now? Is he magicly gonna care about Susan and her relationships?

The new neighbour turns out to be a pedophile. A mind-blowing scene at the basement. In brief 20 minutes, the cool, nice super-protector guy turns out to be a not so cool sicko guy. Tap that!
  • A great episode: fast moving with a good mix of humor and character moments.

Gaby unsuccessful return to modeling was a laugh riot. I bust a gut when she transformed her drab mom custom into "hot mom". I also liked the subplot about how Lynette's son dealt with the shooting. It went from touching to humorous (Protectorman!) to scary (the neighbors dark secret). And I crack up every time Orson is on the screen. He has become one of my favorite characters on the show. Every time we learn something new about his past, I want to know more. It is sad to watch Susan pining after Mike, and just as sad to watch Mike feeling that something is wrong without knowing what it is. At first I was a bit taken aback by Susan's strong overreaction against Julie's thing with Austin. But as the episode went on, it became clear that she was really reacting to the mistakes she (and Mike) made. What a well paced episode! I can't wait to see next week's.
  • Usually after one BIG episode there is a cooldown period but Desperate Housewives are even hotter ! More and more mysterious with each episode ! Season 3 is the best season so far !

Gabrielle goes back to modeling but on the first day of work she gets to be a ... mother in silly dress and it doesn't work off for her. Susan desperately tries to break relationship between Austin and Julie so she asks for help from her ex but he finds out about her and Ian and totally freaks out.Bree meets her mother in law Gloria and calls her home for a dinner just to find out that there is some dark past between Orson and her. Lynette asks Art for favor to help her son who is still under the stress from previous week, just to find out a horrible secret about him that he may be involved in childs pornography ! Police came to conculsion that Monique was beaten to death by profesional plumbing tools and Mike happens to be a plumber sto they stop by to search the house but they didn't find plumbing tools.Later Caren McKlusky returns him the tools ! McKlusky also blackmailed Edie to give her a lawn mashine and if she doesn't she will tell Mike about him and Susan !

Overall an amazing episode. Usually after one BIG episode there is a cooldown period but Desperate Housewives are even hotter ! More and more mysterious with each episode !
  • Gabby tried to get back to modelling but was highly disappointed. Mike returned to Westeria Lane. Karl was back for a few minutes! Bree met Orson's mother. Lynette's son, Parker, is insecure that his mom would get shot again. Julie and Austin made out!

This episode wasn't exactly the best. I would say it's only average. There weren't many witty, funny lines. Andrew said one thing only, and it was probably the funniest line in the episode. I liked the plot quite a bit, however. I think this episode pointed out many realistic aspects of real life. A good daughter can still turn into a naughty skank. A so-called "true love" can still turn his/her back on you one day and move on to someone else. A husband that you think is so loving and generous is in fact a cold-hearted killer. A once glorifying career can fade away as you age. In turns, I feel quite sad about my own life, where many things are inevitably going against my ways. However, like Lynette said in the previous episode, we all have pain, but we deal with it and move on instead of shotting strangers around.
  • Nice episode with many secrets.

I wanted to see this episode so bad after having watched the last one. In some scenes it made me laugh and in others scenes shocked me. Anyway I like the fact that Mike is back to the suburbs cause it will be great to se what will happen later, and Julie and Justin are getting closer on their relationship which Susan obviously dont like but shell have to let her child grow and experience. Gaby went back to modelling but she realized her agent and coworkers moved on and dont see her as they used to. Bree mets her mother in law who keeps a secret with Orson and she(Orsons mother) is going to stay with them for a while. Finally Lynette is very thankfull with her neighbor who saved her life but in the end of the episode she sees that hes got a dark secret.

Cant wait for next episode,,, peace out!
  • In this ep. Gaby fails when trying to go back to modeling, Lynnette finds out some bad s.h!t about her neighbor... Susan's daughter gets in on with Edie's niece (like we all saw in the preview) while Edie gets in on with Mike. And Karl is jealous of Ian.

The subplot with the Hodge family was a little lame. The mom is obviously a manipulator, but we\'ve kind of already got that particularly theme there already writers, but thanks anyway! Gaby\'s modeling thing was a little sad, as was Lynette\'s Parker getting really attached to his mommie, but the way every one just glosses over the market incident is unnatural. What about Carlos? I thought him and Gaby would make it work, especially since the incident is drawing everyone closer...

Obviously, after Bang it would have been too much to knock our socks off again, but still, this one was a yawn.
  • Susan realizes she misses Mike.Bree meets Orson's mother who isnt senile at all. Something weird going on.. Gabrielle tries modeling again and realizes she isnt as young as she used to be & is discouraged. Wisteria Lane new neighbor is child molestor.

I want Susan & Mike back together. Edde is driving me crazy trying to keep Mike from the truth. Susan really does love him. Some mystery is going on with Orson and his mother. Bree is completly oblivious, but I am excited to see what she did to make Orson hate her so much. Lynette's child is scared b/c he finds out that Lynette got shot. So she uses the new neighbor Art to pretend liek he's a super hero to make him feel sade. Later she is in his house and sees an entire wall full of little boys pics. This is juicy and horrible all at once. I cant find a flaw in this epsode at all! Good writting.
