another good episode of desperate housewives i loved the bree stuff, andrew coming back was pretty good although im sure he is going to be causuing alot of trouble for bree, the lynette stuff was ok mostly just filler but entertsining, the susna storyline was ok but not very juicy once agian her storylines seem to be the weakest the year comapred to last year when they were the storongest

  • I hate Andrew

    "Superb"
It\'s official: I honestly hate Andrew. Sure there are characters who did much worse things (Paul) or were much creepier (George), but Andrew is just a stupid kid stuck in his silly teenage rebellion against poor Brew. He keeps blabbing on and on about getting revenge on George and when Bree reveals that he got what he deserved, Andrew only thinks about getting revenge on Bree...for what exactly? Because she freaked out when he told her he was gay...I\'m gay myself and Bree\'s reaction (dinner with priest, the hell comment) were nothing to some things I know that real parents have done to their gay kids. At least she didn\'t abandon him or throw him out of the house...

Sure, she put him into a boot camp (if you could even call it that, it looked not too bad there, when his parents visited hiim) and I\'m not a fan of such camps, but he was really acting out and not taking responsibility in any way..for god\'s sake he ran over an old womanand shrugged it off like he stepped on an ant. But enough of my rant about Andrew..

Susan got her usual mix of touching (conversation with her father at the end) and just plain whacky scenes (the attack in the supermarket).

Lynette manipulated someone yet again and this time she managed to avoid major consequences like last episode. That comment to the receptionist was hilarious (\"Can\'t you see I\'m holding a baby hostage here?\")..you gotta love Lynette.

The catfight between Gabrielle and Sister Mary got a little more intense and Eva Longoria\'s delivery was priceless as usual..she\'s really underrated.

Finally, regarding the Applewhites, it\'s amazing what tricks and plans you can pull off if you\'re a concert pianist. ;-)

All in all an entertaining episode, but not quite as riveting and exciting as the last.
  • Wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't great.

The police are inspecting George's home, when they pull out a life sized mannequin dressed up as Bree. Lynette tries to put a day care centre in her work, and only needs one more child to make it happen, unfortunately its her bosses', and his wife wants their child to be raised at home. Gabrielle and Sister Mary face off again over Carlos’ work at the church. It turns out that they can't afford to send Sister Mary, so Gabrielle donates the needed money for her to be able to go. Little does she know, Sister Mary wants Carlos to join her on the trip. Gabby is furious, but decides to fail to mention Carlos' allergy to eggs on his medical forms, and he becomes too sick to go. Bree brings Andrew home and tells him about the revelation of George poisoning his father Rex and killing him. Andrew is furious with Bree, and he tells her that she doesn't get to tell him what to do anymore. Andrew invites Justin over, and Andrew tells Justin he wants Bree to catch him, so he can break her heart, and that one day, he will wait until she slips up so that he can destroy her. Betty and Matthew get their way into an institution, to get Caleb out. A man sees them, he had gone there to kill Caleb. Susan confronts her biological father's wife after she thinks they are having an affair. Susan ends up bailing out her father, after he is arrested for being with a prostitute. After she decides to give up on him, he comes around and tells her he'd like to get to know her better, after he sorts out the mess with his family. Bree and Andrew are having another argument about George, and Bree tells him the truth about George's death. Andrew hugs her, and smiles to himself while he thanks her for sharing that information with him.

    "Good"

If there’s one Desperate Housewives likes to do is make religious references and this week, we get the return of not one but three so called prodigal sons, two who have been a lot longer than Caleb.

Dealing with Zach first, it’s nearly been half a season since him and Paul have interacted and strangely enough, even I found their little reunion a bit sweet. Paul may be capable of just about anything but it seems that deep down even he cares for Zach, who he’s raised as his own for the past fifteen years. It was actually strange that we got a scene in which both Paul and Zach were acting sane and had no ulterior motive with each other. That was until Paul admitted to Zach about Deirdre but left out the part about Mike being his biological father.

It was inevitable that Paul and Mike would eventually clash about Zach and while I think Zach would be better off with Mike in the long run, I can’t see Paul giving up so easily. No matter how much he blackmails Mike into staying away, the latter should’ve no problem in eventually getting dirt on the murderous Paul. After all, there’s Martha’s journal and the hope of at least finding evidence that makes Paul Martha’s killer. All Mike needs to do is to look hard enough. Credit to this episode for fully setting up two major feuds for this season.

The second most pivotal one of course being between Bree and Andrew, who is busted out of Camp Hennessey and is informed about George’s involvement in Rex’s death. Does Andrew even sympathise with Bree? Does he hell! Instead he actively blames her for letting George into their lives and uses this information to get Justin to spend the night.

Not seen since “One Wonderful Day”, having the lovely Justin back on our screens is a highlight, even if he did balk at kissing Andrew. Actually Justin was really nice in this episode by trying to get his boyfriend to lighten up on Bree, although he could’ve tried a bigger tactic when Andrew openly expressed his desire to ruin his mother. I don’t blame Andrew for being pissed off for what Bree said to him in “Live Alone And Like It”. In that score he has every right to be angry for that incident but he accuses his mother of letting a psycho like George into his life and yet he’s planning to spectacularly destroy his mother? Pot, kettle, black, you moron!

I felt bad for Bree in this episode, not that it wasn’t hard. She may not be the best mother in the world by a long stretch but she actually making an effort to reach out to Andrew and he threw it back in her face. In a lot of ways, Andrew is no better than George and now that he knows that Bree did nothing to save the unstable pharmacist, I dread to think how he’s going to use this information against her. At least Bree got some support from Susan, Gabrielle and Lynette because with those lousy children she has, she’s almost alone.

Unlike Betty, whose two kids absolutely love her and even if Caleb is a killer, he seems to be a better person than either Andrew or Danielle (what exactly does Matthew see in the latter?). With Caleb transferred to a psych ward, Betty and Matthew come up with an expert way of getting him out. Betty distracts the orderly staff and patients with her piano skills and Matthew and Caleb just walk out of there.

Talk about a simple plan or what? Seriously though, how long can Betty and Matthew keep Caleb a secret before someone really becomes privy to his presence on Wisteria Lane? I’m guessing not too long seeing as a rather rough looking guy had actually appeared at the hospital to get Caleb before the Applewhites sprung him out. I’m wondering if this guy is a relative of murdered Melanie Foster or a hired hitman from the dead girl’s family. Only time will tell but more answers in upcoming episodes would be nice.

Keeping with family, Susan and Addison getting to know each other makes for an uncomfortable viewing. Maybe he’s heard of some of her past antics but Addison wasn’t exactly bursting at the seams to get to know his daughter, was he? Again I still felt really bad for Susan. The woman may be pathetically needy at times but even she showed a level of restraint when trying to bond with her Dad, which only then happened after Susan had to bail Addison out of jail for trying to solicit a prostitute.

Then Susan’s day got worse when his wife Carol mistook her for a fancy woman and graffiti-d “whore” on her garage door. That generated a nice snide remark from Edie, who then disappears again (when are the writers actually going to give her something constructive to do?). We also had to endure Carol acting hysterical and chucking food at Susan in the supermarket until the latter explained who she really was and Carol warned her against Addison. Wonderfully enough she took heed of Carol’s advice and remained distant towards her father while painting her garage door in the rain. We’ve had Susan behaving level headed for two episodes in a row, surely I must be dreaming.

Level headed is a thing Lynette proved to be also this week as her solution for dealing with being an absentee mother was to try and set up a day-care centre. Not a bad idea but how convenient that Ed’s wife Fran would try and put a dampener on things. Keeping with a tradition for Lynette’s advice going awry, Ed snatches his daughter away from Fran, Fran then comes into the office acting hysterical and Lynette has to snatch little Mindy in order to get her day-care centre and Ed and Fran to agree with each other. It’s a totally silly plot but fun in it’s own right.

Which means the only real low point of the episode is Gabrielle this week. As much I love her and Sister Mary’s all out campaign to maintain their individual hold on Carlos, can’t that woman think of someone other than herself? I hate to admit but Carlos actually sounds like he does want to do something genuinely good and Gabrielle seems intent on sabotaging for no real reason other than her selfish desire to be in charge. For a woman who claims she loves her husband, withholding vital information about Carlos’ allergies was low even for her and worse still, the writer of this episode tried to make light of what she did.

    Also in “Coming Home”

Housewife of the week: Detective Barton told Bree about George’s death while cops were removing evidence of his interest in Bree from his hose, including a Bree doll.

Gabrielle (re George): “He was our pharmacist. It’s enough to make you go holistic”

Susan (to Bree): “I don’t mean to sound cruel but I’m glad he’s dead”.

There was a joke from Caleb’s would be kidnapper about a ball gag, which makes me think that he’s a hitman. It’s also nice to see Betty interact with Mike and Edie.

Bree (re Justin): “What kind of friend is he?”

    Andrew: “The real good kind”.

Lynette needed sixteen kids for the day-care centre. I know there’s Penny and Ed and Fran’s daughter, Mindy but with six kids from one woman, two from the parking guy and three from someone else, that only makes up thirteen.

Carlos: “They are people dying in Botswana”

Gabrielle: “They will be people dying in this church if you don’t get that patronising look off your face”.

Susan (re “whore” sign): “Do you have something you would like to say?”

Edie: “No, that pretty much says it all”.

Andrew and Justin were playing Chronicles Of Narnia, the video game. I have yet to see that movie.

Ed: “I left a sticky note”

Fran: “I wasn’t looking for a sticky note. I was looking for my baby”.

No Karl, Tom, Julie, Danielle, Porter, Preston and Parker in this episode.

Addison: “Painting in the rain. Is that smart?”

Susan: “Well let me see. Painting in the rain or letting the whole world think I’m a whore? I don’t know, what do you think?”

Bree (re George): “He didn’t die on his own terms. He paid for what he did to your father”

Andrew: “Thank you for telling me this”.

No chronological reference, though it’s probably only a day or two since last episode.

“Coming Home” is a rather funny episode. While it’s both within the series style of funny one moment, sinister the next, it’s only one of those episode where every other plot is alright but only Bree and Betty’s standout. It’s a set up episode really.

I find this one to be somehow better than the others we have seen this season...!

Andrew character and relation with her mother is a very good storyline...! Look forward to se some more of that!

Sister Mary Alice gives me the nerves... i hope she really goes on that trip!

Lynette keeps up on doing the good work and Susan story keeps on not having much point!

Hopefully Zachs comeback will also be good to the show!
  • Andrew is back and Bree tells him everything.

Finally Andrew is back from camp hennesy and he's never been so mad.

He's got finally something to blackmail his mother. I like he's having a boyfriend I think that will make a great storyline.

Susan's dad is not as nice as she hoped he would be. She has to bail him out of jail. Haha i thought that was really funny. Or the Whore painted on her garagedoor haha.

Lynette finally got her daycare center in the office? But don't we see anything of Nina anymore? I really liked her :(

Carlos is suddenly some kind of monk? I don't like this I wish he would continue his criminal life. And I think Gabrielle thinks that's for the best too.

"Yes, there were many ways to tell that Bree was a lady...but the surest was to watch how she maintained her dignity in even the most undignified situations"--Mary Alice

At first the episode didn't really appeal to me because the hour went awfully too fast and it was a little confusing. Rest assured, I watched it the following day and thought it was a pretty good episode. One of the many things I hate about ABC is the abyss of never ending commercials. We all know Desperate is the # 1 show in the country (or # 2, counting CSI) but doesn't the #1 show deserve more screen time (for the full title theme and cut scenes) and less time for annoying commericials. But mind you this episode marks the end of November sweeps (even though it is December). So rest assured in January, things on ABC will be more back to normal unless you purchase the episode on iTunes or Tivo it and don't have to deal with 4 minute commericals.

    Anyway on with the episode:

Bree visits George's house where the police are there and inform her that George committed suicide in a hotel room and that they have some things that may belong to her which include her panties and a few items of clothing. Bree is then shocked when she is told that George had a shrine dedicated to Bree. Talk about obsessed. Bree then sees a Bree-like lifesize doll. The detective apologizes and Bree goes on her way. The neighbors watch as seconds later the Bree manniquin makes her way out after Bree.

Over coffee, Bree tells the other wives of her relationship with George and his demise. Gabrielle looks on puzzled since George always seemed like such a nice person. Bree tells her otherwise. As they are chatting, Andrew returns from Camp Hennesy in a van and yells out why he has been sent home so suddenly. Shortly after, Bree tells Andrew what happened and that Rex died because George wanted to marry her. Andrew feels betrayed and hates Bree for what has happened which she feels bad about also. Andrew then tells Bree he wants to invite a friend over to spend the night. One guess: Justin? Of course. Bree objects since this is first night home but Andrew tells her she has no say anymore since she let this happen. That night, Andrew and Justin get cozy as they play videogames and Andrew tries to kiss him but Justin backs away fearing they will be caught. Andrew tells him the story about when he came out his mother said he was going to hell and has hated her ever since + his plot to destroy her. Justin gives a surprising look as he knows Andrew is plotting something bad. The following morning, Andrew wants revenge from George and says suicide is a noble bow out not revenge. Bree then tells Andrew that George did not want to kill himself and that Bree was "supposed" to call the ambulance but she didn't. Andrew thanks his mother for telling him this and gives that look as if he has some dirt on her.

Meanwhile, Lynette tries to get a company day care center at her advertising firm so that she can see her kids. The minor flaw is that the state requirement is 16 and she only has 15. Lynette then asks the boss Ed if his wife would consider sending their toddler to day care. When Lynette talks to the wife she is all Stepford-ish and stood up. She really deserves a slap in her face for what she said to Lynette about being a great mom since Lynette has been through some serious shit in the past year. The following day, Ed brings Mindy, the girl to work which Lynette objects to since that could be kidnapping without telling anyone. The wife then arrives at the firm and wants to know what the hell is going on. The two quarrel and Lynette takes the baby into her office and locks the door. She then tells them to work things out and that they need to communicate better. After this, the two decide that even if Mindy does the bare minimum for day care she can still go which makes Lynette happy since she can now see her kids more especially baby Penny.

Susan tries to help her father get to know her better but Addison is still not really that interested. However when he needs help...it is a completely different story. Addison's in jail for trying to have sex with a prostitute who was an undercover cop. Susan agrees to bail him out but to take it easy on his recurring urges with other women. Prudy's wife sees Susan drop him off and gets jealous thinking they are sleeping together. Susan is shocked the next morning when she finds the words "WHORE" written on her garage door. Addison tells her that it was definitely his wife and that she thinks something is going on but tells her not to say anything. At the grocery store, Susan sees Carol who starts throwing things at her until Susan tells her that Addison is her father and she stops. When Susan tells Carol her age she finds out his cheating has been going on since the beginning of their marriage. She then tells Susan not to expect much from the relationship since he is definitely a heartbreaker. The following day, Addison apologizes to Susan and recommends that they start over. Susan agrees happily and continues to paint over her "WHORE" grafiti.

Gabrielle learns from Carlos that he wants to go on a missionary trip to an African country "to be one of God's soldiers". Something Sister Mary probably brainwashed him to do. Gabby tries to stop Carlos from going by giving the priest enough money to fund Sister Mary's portion so that Carlos does not have to go. However Sister then claims she needs a "male companion". Oh, God then Gabby goes to "desperate" measures to see that Carlos never makes it out of the country. When going for his vaccinations she forgets to write on the form that he is allergic to eggs which is used in one of the vaccines. Carlos has an allergic reaction and is sent home for bedrest. Gabby is relieved not as Carlos' suffering but that he will be saying. Only when he moans Sister Mary's name does she start to worry.

Finally on the Applewhite storyline, Betty finds out from Edie that Caleb aka John Doe is not talking and has been put in a psych ward. When Matthew asks what they are going to do, Betty decides they should go and secretly get him. However someone else (Michael Ironside) is planning to get him also. The person's identity is unknown but he seems creepy and looks as if he is up to no good. At the hospital, Betty uses her piano training to regale the group as Matthew and Caleb escape but Ironside is also waiting for a move. As Caleb and Matthew leave, Ironside quietly follows after them.

Other important events in "Coming Home"...

*No Tom, Julie and very little of Edie. On the positive side, Zach is finally home after a 6 episode absence. He is welcomed home by his father who is glad that he has arrived home safely. Paul then tells Zach that he is adopted and that his mother was a junkie from Utah and his father's wherabouts are unknown. Little does he know that his biological father is just across the street. The next day, Paul tells Mike to buzz off and Mike tells him he is not giving up yet.

*If Andrew really decides on blackmailing his mother he is really making a bad choice since his mother is his sole living relative besides Danielle who is underage as well as himself, but I don't think Bree's going to go down. I think Andrew will before her if you catch my drift. (aka The Mama Solis hit and run).

*Sister Mary is really desperate for some alone time with Carlos. At first I really didn't like where Gabrielle's story was going but it is pretty enjoyable to watch since Gabby knows that even a nun gets a little horny once in a while.

*Susan, love her but she's trying really hard to build a relationship with someone who is clearly not interested. But even if Susan wasn't such a klutz would people still like her? Dunno, Bree's still my favorite.

*Loved Mrs. Fromme's reaction to Susan's "WHORE" grafiti and how she had her cat on a leash. Very funny.

"Coming Home" was a pretty good episode with a few surprising plots, interesting conversations and definite character development. Its too bad we'll have to wait until January to see how our favorite ladies make out. I'm sure there will be plenty of surprises when the show returns and I'll be waiting as well as 26 million others.
  • Better than the previous one.

This episode was better actually but not as the first season one was.

The plot about Susan was quite good even if the story with his "father" is kind of ... average. But his wife is adorable, "whore" wrote in her garage was awful!!! and the mall !!! (lol!!!)

I don't expect a good plot for Susan but I hope that maybe she will be involved in something great, maybe with a new man? (Denton sucks)

About Lynette, it was really better even if she doesn't have such good plots. Actually that was funny to see her as a vice president. Why not to be a CEO soon? That will be great.

For the solis, damn the plot was awful with Miss Daisy from Super Mario Bros. I don't like her character and I'd rather like to see Carlos and Gabrielle together, but the end with Carlos was good even if he wanted to see Sister Mary...

I'd like to talk about Bree, I didn't like the George's end and I totally hate Andrew, so what is he gonna plan? an awful thing for his mother? he's totally freak out! come on! this character sucks!!!

Well where are Edie, Paul, Zach, Julie, Mike and the Applewhite? (don't talk about their stories! what story! none!)
  • Picks up from last week with Bree and her George saga. Andrew, Zach and Caleb are all "coming home" to Bree, Mike and Betty.

    8.5
    "Great"
I thought this episode was above average- not the best of Season 2. I feel like Desperate Housewives isn't what it used to be. They are dragging Betty's storyline! Get it interesting already!

Gabrielle's storlyine did it for me in the eppy. Her war with Sister Mary is excellent. Their dialogue is well written and it's great that Gabby always gets what she wants.

Bree's was OK. I cant wait for her reaction when she learns about Andrew and Justin. But first, Susan needs to tell her what she saw at the pool party in Season 1!

Lynette's storyline didn't do it for me this week. It was a yadda, yadda storyline- I want Nina back! The same goes for Susan, although it was funny to see WHORE on her garage door!!

SUGGESTION: More Edie! Less Betty! I hope DH improves when it returns in January.
  • Eh, it's not doing it for me like it used to...

    8.0
    "Great"
All in all, it was an okay episode. Bree's son having this grudge against his mother is boring. The fact that he had his "friend" spend the night was quite interesting.

I felt bad that Gabrielle's was having her husband seduced by a nun. And he doesn't even know it.

Zach is back... so what? Why didn't Mike run and tell him the truth.

Susan's father is hilarious. He was probably the best part of the show.

Lynette should've whipped her boss' wife's butt!!! But that wasn't very realistic either, because I would've smashed through that glass to get my baby back.

And really, no one cares about the retarded kid.
  • Everybody got to advance their storylines -- some more deliciously than others. :)

    9.2
    "Superb"
Betty's piano playing is a truly magical gift. It distracts people, it changes topics of conversations, and it makes hospital attendants ignore the fact that violent, house-breaking slightly-mad criminals are walking out the psych ward. Well, I hadn't immediately figured out that the guy tracking Caleb was a bounty hunter, but it sure looks like things are about to hot-up a bit on Wisteria Lane.

Gabi's generous gift of $8,000 to send Sister Mary away was good (I loved the expression on Sister Mary's face). But more than money, she needs to open Carlos' eyes to the fact that he's being manipulated. A lot. By a nun of dubious character. Her intervention in Sister Mary's plans to whisk him away with her to spend two months in war-torn Botswana was inspired, tho. Well played, Gabi, and hey! With Carlos' fevered confession, looks like Sister Mary's got a real fan, there.

Susan's fumbling acquaintance with her father went about as well as one could expect. I loved Carol putting two and two together and coming up with "wh0re." It's interesting that Susan didn't for a moment consider that to be directed at Julie, which is actually kind of sweet. I loved the way the camera framed Susan and the garage door -- a priceless screencap if anyone's got it. Edison certainly came up with a lovely third thing to be proud of outside in the rain, but I was so worried that Carol kicked him out and he'd have to come live with Susan. She has enough nutty, out-of-hand parent figures who show up and live with her. I'm really glad he's gonna try to work things out.

Lynette. You lovely Lynette, I was so sure she was just going to go off on Fran. Fran, with one child, is already exhibiting some of the Scavo nuttiness we were witnessing in S1. And her disingenouous "Why did you even //have// children?" was grounds for a fist in the face and we know Lynette is good for it. Better yet, tho, getting Ed to assert his fatherhood of Mindy and his wish to see her every so often (so the poor girl might someday have even a hope of picking him out of a //lineup//, at least) was a fun way to turn that screw -- baby-theft or not. Fran was frantic! Lynette's move was perfect. Her sanity required her to see //her// kids sometimes, too (Fran's unwillingness to even sign Mindy up for the program just so they could get one started was so insensitive, and her smugness about her status as a stay-at-home mom was actually a little ugly -- along with her threat to leave the state with Mindy). And we'll probably see more Tom if he's gotta drop them off and pick them up sometimes, too.

Naturally, saving the best for the last, Bree's reactions to that chamber of "unsavory" horrors George had installed in his home was absolutely beautiful. Marcia Cross was perfect throughout. And her reactions to the Bree-bot were wonderful. When she asked "What would he do with a life-sized doll that looks like me?" all of the officers' eyes went to the floor, which was so perfect. I can't express sufficient love for that scene.

Most interesting piece of evidence in the world: The hard-drive on George's personal computer.

I really hope that Bree-bot can stay out of the local papers. I can't believe the police didn't at least dismantle it or cover it up with a blanket for its trip down the sidewalk.

Then Andrew comes back while they're having coffee. And he's a jerk. And he blames Bree for George murdering Rex. Wonderful. And he decides he's going to do whatever he wants, including Justin. Capital. Someone said elsewhere Bree needs to remove Andrew's door again. I think if she saw Andrew and Justin, and then Danielle and Matthew, she'd put the door back again -- and make sure both of them were actually a little harder to open to avoid the doors accidentally swinging open and providing "unsavory" views.

Andrew's anger with Bree is focused but misplaced. But he's young yet. Someday he'll realize the best revenge is to write his mother into a top-rated one-hour dramedy. :D

Bree did hand him a most interesting piece of information toward the end, there.

Wonder what he's planning to do with it.

Overall, a highly enjoyable entry. I'm looking forward to next week quite a bit. :)
  • Yawn, Yawn, Yawn! Am I the only person who feels that this show isn't quite hitting its groove?!

Oh dear oh dear people what is going on here?! Bree and Gabrielle have the most frustrating and uninteresting stories there is!

Gabrielle and Carlos, my favourite characters in series one, are stuck in this terrible storyline with the 'hot' (please!) nun. Carlos is hollier than thou and constantly downing the wife he was only too willing to go to prison to hold on to not that long ago. With the arrival of righteous Carlos we have lost the spark and the fire that made him and Gabrielle such good characters in the the last season. Furthermore I am just not buying it and the nun is so see through. Her not very Christian attempts to break up Gabrielle and Carlos's marriage make it seem as if all she is interested in is breaking the marriage up so she can do a Fraulien Maria, have Carlos all to herself and live in as much luxury and materialism as Gabrielle does. Hopefully this won't run on too long because it is extremely frustrating to watch Carlos not see what is in front of him. Frankly this couple's storyline has taken a sharp downturn since Gabrielle lost the baby.

As for Bree I am actually devasted to see the return of the Andrew's revenge storyline. I had hoped when he was attacking George for coming on to his mother that day at the swimming competition that we had seen the last of this. Sadly not, and her telling him she let George die and that being the information he 'gets on her' you could have seen that one coming a mile off. Very unimaginative and not very interesting. The last thing you want to see is Bree getting blackmailed and mentally tortured by her own son after all that went on with George. Out with one frustrating character and in with another.

All that said, however, things are not all bad. Lynette was fantastic as usual. The storyline with the daycare and the holding the kid hostage - amazing! I just love the way she is never beaten and her 'opponents', for want of a better word, never seem to notice. Glad to see her running the show (almost) now after finally getting rid of Nina too.

And finally Susan...I have said before I hated to see her come on to the screen in the first season, but now, I have to admit I am starting to love her. Her relationship with her father really tugs at my heartstrings and I find myself crying when things go bad for her!

Let's just hope Gabrielle and Bree's storylines finally come up to scratch and stop being so darn frustrating!

Another great episode. For me the best story remains the Gabrielle/Carlos/Sister Mary Bernard relationships, with Gabrielle trying to get rid of the nun. It's so funny when Gabrielle fakes interest in church and charities and when they snap at each other :-) There is also the story dealing with the Lynette's boss' baby which is average. Moreover, Susan and her father meet again, arousing jealousy in her father's wife who doesn't hesitate to tag "WHORE" on Susan's garage. It ends up in a burgeoning touching relationship between Susan and her father which I found well written. We are also given a bit more about the Van De Kamp family with Bree having a conflictual relationship with her son... Not to mention the return of Zack at his "father"'s home which is bound to involve Mike Delfino, his real father, one day or another.

As a whole, nice episode :-) I'm already waiting for the next one...

Unfortunately for Bree Van De Kamp, he troubles did not die with the death of George. For now, she has to deal with a son who wants revenge. Andrew is back from Camp Henesey(sp?) and is informed of that fact that it was George who murdered his father. He of course blames Bree for everything and wants revenge. Bree in an attempt to win her sons affection again, reveals the truth about what happened to George. Unfortunately for Bree, Andrew has plans to use this information against her. He'd only been waiting for the perfect thing to fall in his lap, as we found out from his conversation with Justin.

As for Susan, her and her father tried to make amends. It may be some time yet before anything really happens though. He has to work on his marriage.

Lynette pulled a brilliant scheme to start a daycare at work. And may have just helped her boss's marriage.

As for Gabrielle, it seems she's won out over the nun. For now, unfortunately, Carlos said the nuns name, and not Gabrielle's as he lay in pain after an allergic reaction to a vaccine.

The housewives as always are up to par. The ladies of Wisteria Lane live interesting lives and each story in this episode was well done. I don't think any character was really forgotten as is sometimes the case.

First off, we're still dealing with the Susan's biological story which is at best somewhat watchable. It is certainly no reason to change the channel, but definitely not water cooler chitchat.

Gabby tries to constantly one-up the new nun, only to fail miserably at first and then finally succeed when she let's her husband get an injection she knows will harm him. Careful Gabby, you're going into George territory.

And speaking of George, he has a Bree shrine!!! Which in a few words is simply hilarious. Bree admits to her son, who's back now, that George is gone because she didn't save him. Which will give him plenty of ammo to use against her!

And speaking of her son, is he gay or not? It would appear that he isn't because he only wanted to fool around so he would upset his mother. But he also said that he hates her for not being supportive the first time she found out. This question will hopefully be answered soon!!

And Lynette's storyline, though not as riveting as Bree's but surely better than Susan's, finds her trying every thing to get a daycare in her workplace. And she wins, although I was sure she was going to be tricked by her boss' wife.
  • Susan getsto know her father better. Lynette almost destroys her boss's marriage to get a daycare. Betty finds Caleb and Michael sneaks him home. Gaby is scared to lose Carlos to the evil nun. Bree tells Andrew about letting Ge

This episode was only okay. Last week's episode was awesome and next week's looks exciting but this one just seemed like a step to get us from last week to next.

The random guy coming to look for Caleb was, well, random. The storyline was kinda all over the place in my opinion. Especially since they switched Caleb's. My sister had a whole fit about how they were taking the wrong guy.

I'm glad Zach's back in the scene. That's an interesting story right there with Mike and poor confused Zach and malipulative Paul.

I can't wait to find out what Andrew is going to do to Bree next week because the look he had on his face when she told him about letting George die was very telling.

Lynette was able to get the daycare at her job which is great because now she can spend more time with her kids. With the evil boss gone and now the kids not being an issue, where is her story going next?

Poor Gaby and Carlos's marriage can't make it for anything. First the affiar. Then jail. And now when Gaby finally realizes she loves him. the ugly nun comes and wants to break them apart. I suppose she has good reason but gosh, give poor Gabby a break. Carlos and the nun clearly have a thing for each other.

Susan's dad is a serial infidel. I feel so bad for his poor wife. I'm glad he's going to try to be in susan's life but i find that storyline kinda boring.

I want more about Bree and Gaby and Paul, Mike and Zach!!

An intriguing hour this week. First Zach returning which wasn't as huge as I thought it'd be but played nicely. Enjoyed Paul and Mike's showdown over it and looking forward to Susan's reaction as well.

Speaking of Susan, a good time for her with her father and once more getting mistaken for 'the other woman' by her father's husband. The good scene of her and her dad at the end promised much more life for this storyline.

Nice to see Penelope Ann Miller show up as well and intriguing how Lynette's boss is so cowed by her. Too bad she's back to the dumb plots, hope that changes soon.

The Carlos/Gabby one was good with Gabby minipulating things and leading to the great moment of her confessing to the drugged-up Carlos how afraid she is he'll see her as she really is, a nice look at her character's fear.

And then we get back on track with Andrews' plan to get at his mother finally returning as a plot point. The smile on his face after Bree told him about George was almost as bad as George himself. This is going to play out very hard for one of them.

Not sure what Michael Ironside's role in this is but his presence always means something nasty is up and maybe Alice's secret isn't staying for long.

So all in all, an interesting family hour for the series and it's time for the show to bring back the forgotten subplots.
