this was another brilliant episode of desperate housewives as the residents of wisteria lane discover that martha huber is indeed dead, there were good storlyines in this episode, i liked gabby eating the chicken scene, and bree shooting george in the foot but the best scene in this episode was edie shoving martha hubers ash's in susan face, ahah should a brilliant scene made me laugh out loud

  • Quite possibly the most amazing show of our time.

Desperate Housewives is phenomenal; it's full of deceit, charm, scandal, heartache, affairs, love ... it's just an emotional roller coaster and every time without any question each episode, each season, just continues to get better and better. I have watched every single episode since the beginning in 2004, it is a ritual of mine. Haha. Every night when there is a new episode I crack open a bottle of Dom Pérignon and chocolate covered cherries and strawberries cuddle up on my couch and indulge. Everything about this show is just so perfect and so perfectly scripted. I've never been so hardcore dedicated to a T.V. show in my life. This show is definitely a must you've got to just sit down and watch it. The writers and directors are genius and the girls are just lovely. May 2011 with indefinitely be a tragic time when it all ends but there is always the DVDs.
  • one of the best DHs this seasonn.

Martha's body is found and the news of her death spreads quickly throughout the neighborhood.

Lynette tries to go to yoga center and when she has a problem with Parker and he gets the cold and she has to shave his head because his brothers put bubble gum in his head it leads to people thinking that he has cancer and Lynette uses that for her own well-being.

Gabrielle finds out that Carlos is on house arrest and she has to keep working but they reached the dead end and she doesn't know how much will she be able to continue like this. Bree goes with George and she wants to learn him how to shoot and it leads to an unfortunate accident and he losts a middle toe and after that they break up in some sort of way.

Susan finds out that Martha kept her journals and there will be everything about the fire and she has to suck up to Edie Britt and Edie won't press charges as long as Susan invites her to poker game. Another great episode, just like always.
  • Susan confesses she burns Edie\'s house down leading o hillarious consequenses.

Everyone on Westeria Lane finds out that Matha Huber has been murderd but they don\'t know Paul Young did it. As in a few of my reviews, I\'m really interested in the Edie/Susan storyline so I\'ll tell you what happened there.

Edie is devestated that her best friend is dead and decides to spread her ashes in the lake near where Mrs.Huber\'s husband proposed. She asks Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gabrielle if they would like to come and they all give excuses as to why they can\'t go. Edie is particularly mad at Susan who gives an extremeley lame excuse, \"I\'m just........really busy!\"

But later Susan discovers that Mrs.Huber kept journals for years and the police are going to search in them in hope to find the murderer who killed Martha Huber, who was the only person to find out Susan burned down Edie\'s home. Susan thinks that if she doesn\'t show sympathy for Edie & Mrs.Huber, Edie will go to the police.

In hope Edie will like her better she goes to spread Mrs.Hubers ashes but during the boat ride on the lake, Edie starts tell Susan what a great person she is for coming when no other woman would. Susan feels bad and tells Edie she burned down her house. Edie, who realizes Susan only came to get on her good side, is so annyoed that she throws Mrs.Hubers ashes in Susan\'s face!

On the car ride home, Edie tells Susan she won\'t press charges IF she can be invited to the poker game Susan and the girls play once a week. Susan happily agress and goes to have a shower. Edie says she cant stand the thaught of Mrs.Hubers ashes going down a sewer drain so she hoses Susan off in her front lawn which is facing Mrs.Huber\'s house. Edie thinks this is perfect because Mrs.Huber can now watch her house and all of Westeria Lane.

    This episode was sooooooo funny!!!

So many funny and memorable scenes happened in this episode, involving each of the main characters. Few individual episodes manage to be this complete and entertaining, although I suppose little plot development was achieve. However, it's definitely worthy of many viewings. Lynette accidently letting the people at the yoga studio think Parker was more than just sick... Bree's failed attempt at teaching George to shoot a gun... Gabrielle taking Carlos's KFC across the street where he couldn't get it... And, of course, Susan taking Edie up to the lake to spread Martha's ashes, which she got a little closer to than she anticipated... I hope to see more episodes like this from future seasons.
  • Life, Loss And Being Left Out Written by Chris Black Directed by David Grossman

A pivotal episode, the main theme that stemmed so much was the feelings of isolation and being left out, a theme I hate to admit that I can seriously relate to more than I'd like to. The annoying Martha was an outsider throughout most of her life and only got some real attention when dead. Like all good neighbours, the Wisteria Lane residents were upset over her outcome but it was only LB Edie who actually did something about it by taking Martha's ashes to be scattered to where her husband proposed

    to her.

Another outsider, I found Edie's high school past similar to my own and although I like Susan, chances are I probably would have hated her too if I was seventeen. How fun was it to see the two rivals bond in such an unexpected way? Edie showed actual affection for Susan and for some reason, I don't think she was bullshitting while Susan finally felt a twinge of guilt for burning her rival's house. The scenes with them in the boat right down to Susan being covered in Martha's ashes back to Wisteria Lane where the busybody's remains are now part of Susan's lawn (I'd call a priest if I were her), Edie's demands about being invited to the housewives' poker games instead of calling the police was fair enough. I can't wait to see how the other women will react to that and I wonder if Edie will try anything with Mike now they are "working together".

Mike – well sport fans, we're back to the mystery man once again as Creepy Boss Guy from "Come In, Stranger" has his place raided in an effort to get him back on track and a few revelations are thrown our way. It seems this Boss Guy's daughter/Kendra's sister; Deirdre is an ex-lover of Mike. I'm not completely sure of everything as there seems to a lot of complex history there but I think she may be the adult female body in the toy chest that was found a few weeks ago. After the last couple of eps playing the dutiful boyfriend, it's great to see James Denton being given some tougher stuff but Mike is living on borrowed time especially as the cops and the venomous Felicia aren't going anywhere, so it's only a matter of time before Paul's little frame job pays off.

Seeing as the theme of being left out is so present this week, I'm not entirely sure what to make of George. On one hand he's incredibly creepy he could make Paul (but not Felicia) seem normal. His obsession with Bree does take scary heights when he starts watching CCTV videos of their interactions after she dumps him but no matter how pathetic the character appears a part of me feels sorry for the guy. I don't approve of his actions but I do sympathise that he (in a similar way to Edie) finds it hard to make friends but I now also worry for Bree as George's actions are now stalker like. Marcia Cross also does a great job in capturing her character's own internal conflicts about doing what's right for herself and the other person. Does that mean Bree and Rex will be reuniting soon? I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that one. It was also great that Bree's NRA skills got put to use, although once again we're shown the negative effects of a gun when George loses a toe. Ouch but still made for quite a comic scene, I really did have to laugh at that.

One subplot that you may or may not see as funny depending how you took its delivery and handle would be Lynette's inadvertant sinister way of getting into a yoga class when the receptionist mistakes a newly bald Parker for a cancer patient. Okay this was accidental because the receptionist did assume but did not directly ask Lynette, yet Lynette knew what she thought and didn't bother to correct until a cancer survivor forced her to. This plot doesn't do a lot of good for the character even though I did feel her embarrassment when she had to leave the class with everyone ready to kill her. On the plus side, the guy who plays Parker did a terrific job with the scenes he had even though it looked like his brothers put six packs of gum in hair (did you see how gigantic it was?) when Lynette only gave them three sticks.

Finally I just loved the Gabrielle and Carlos stuff of the episode more than I usually do with these two. So having her husband home was always going to be an hindrance for Gabby in a lot of way, especially now that he's house bound which no gardener nookie (don't worry people John is back next episode) and there's continued insecurity that she will leave him. Is that why Carlos is so desperate get Gabrielle pregnant? So he can own her? If so, he's a very old fashioned guy and this would probably explain why Gabrielle is so adamant not to be with child. The one thing I really like about Gabrielle is her ability not to take blackmail in any context lying down so how funny was it having her reaffirm the control she over her own husband? Taunting him with the knock off KFC, she really knows how to kick a guy when he's down. Though it seems Carlos has a few dirty tactics of his own when he tampers with her birth control pills. Does this means Gabby will be pregnant before the season ends? Following recent rumours online, she makes the most sense but that sounds too soap opera like for it's own good but I'm going to reserve judgement for the time being though I could see the shit hitting the fan big time if she does become pregnant.

Also in "Every Day A Little Death"

As I mentioned Martha definitely got her glory as a dead person and yes, it totally looked like she was smiling.

Edie (re Mike): "I'm gonna be riding him hard"

Susan: "Well if anyone can go the distance he can, I should know".

The episode's director David Grossman has helmed several instalments of Buffy and Angel and he did a great job here.

Gabrielle: "I have spent eight hours doing this (makes presenting gesture)"

Carlos: "Well, I'd buy two boats from you".

Felicia: "Please human beings feed off misery". After her all too descriptive account of Martha's final moments, I don't think anyone will feed off it again.

This may sound odd but someone in props needs to find a better wig for Harriet Samson Harris as the one she wore in this episode kept looking like it was going to fall off at times.

Julie (re Susan's arson): "It's a great piece of dirt. Even I wrote about it in my journal".

Gabrielle (to Carlos): "You're the man of the house? You can't even leave it". Juanita also got mentioned. Nice to see she hasn't been forgotten.

Bree (to George): "You shouldn't listen to a woman who's had her heart broken. We tend to lie".

Susan: "You know for what it's worth, I would have talked to you in high school"

Edie: "You know of all the lies you told? That one was the worst".

Susan (to Edie): "I guess I should go … take a shower and wash Mrs Huber off me".

This was very interesting. After two slightly sluggish episodes, "Every Day A Little Death" was something of a boost and one hell of an entertaining hour. The theme of being left out was nicely executed and the episode fairly succeeded in giving Nicollette Sheridan an opportunity to emote (and thankfully not sing again), though like with Gabrielle, it may take a while before Edie becomes a more fleshed out character. It was also great that the mysteries were kept afloat and I have a feeling Felicia probably knows more than she's letting on as well. Writer Chris Black (and I've noticed it's been a new scribe every episode since "Come In, Stranger") provided a top notch hour. This show is really beginning to hit its stride and it's nice to see another major plot resolved while new ones are added.
