So I've been noticing that alot of people are complaining that DH is "boring" or "predictable" this season. And while I TOTALLY DISAGREE, I love this season, I do feel like there are certain aspects of the first seasons we may never season. And that just comes with age - age of the show and age of the housewives. It would just be odd for the married couples we've grown to love and admire (Carlos and Gaby, Tom and Lynette, etc) to cheat on each other now that they've matured so much (especially Gaby). And as far as pregnancies, I highly doubt we'll be seeing much more of those either. It just seems like there's a lot that the show can't rehash now the characters are 10 years older.
So what CAN they do? Well, they can develop creative murder mysteries that really confuse us (a la Season 1) .. you're never too old for that. They can even use their only single housewives - Bree and Susan - and create a "mistress" storyline where they get involved with an already married man. And - hey - they can even go the adoption route with couples like Mike and Katherine.
And another thing they take for granted - they're younger cast!!! They've still got Andrew! They can easily get back Julie and some of the grown teen characters and give them better side stories. And not the "use Andrew's engagement as a device for Bree's story arch" either, I mean actual stories revolving around them.
Just a thought.
