Now we're on a break and some of you are, perhaps, watching this season's episodes again, I thought it might be fun to list all the references in season 8 to past episodes we've spotted. I'll copy your post to this first post, include your username and then at the end, we can see who knows the most DH trivia

And in 8x09 when Susan and Mike were having a conversation:
SUSAN: "I did that thing I do when I lie"
MIKE: "What thing?"
SUSAN: "Oh like i'm gonna tell you!"

I reacted to that because in 6x21, Gabby said almost the exact thing to Carlos (over at the "is he cheating on me" dinner with the Delfino's)

GABBY: "You were doing that thing you do when you lie!"
CARLOS: "What thing?"
SUSAN: "Oh like i'm gonna tell you!"

8x07 - mike burying alejandro under the foundation.

1x01 - paul digging up deidre's body from the pool.

i think that was the writers'/directors'/whoever controls this to make it similar-looking, but i could be wrong

1x01 - deidre being stuffed in a chest

8x01 - alejandro being stuffed in a chest

season 6 - bree going to room 217 at the motel with karl

8x09 - bree going to room 217 at the motel, this time to kill herself

[yeah, i actually noticed its the same one ]

1x01 - mary alice gets the "i know what you did letter"

8x01 - bree gets a different "i know what you did letter"

1x14 Paul forgot to cancel the flowers for Valentine (Mary- Alice has passed)

8x08 Tom forgot to cancel the flowers for their anniversary with Lynette (separated)

1x08 Mary Alice appearing to Lynette after pills and a lot of personal drama/issues (gun related)

8x09 Mary Alice appearing to Bree after alcohol and total lose of friends, family etc. (again gun related)

P.S. About StylishCandy's post- Deidre being stuffed in 1.01 is not true, we don't get it there thus not connected to Alejandro, which is also not in 8x01, but in 7x23. I would say the throwbacks to old times started around the last episodes of S7 in my opinion.

I'd say Deirde being stuffed in the box would be 1x23, yeah, but Alejandro's chest appeared in 8x01 too, so I'll count that one, especially since it's so important to this season's story.

Yeah, you're right, it's relevant.

I just remembered something from 7x23, you may consider it off topic , but the line about "Strawberry sauce gets everywhere" reminded me so freaking much of season 2x03, with Caleb breakin out, and Susan asking Betty about some piano lessons, and Betty with a red (blood) mark on her blouse saying "I'm baking cherry pie" hahah

Gaby waking Carlos with a slap it happend in 3x12 when Zach was stalking her and it is happening again in episode 8x10 under different circumstances.

Don't know whether this was intentional our not, but there are so many similarities:

George Williams - guest starred in season 1, hired as a regular in season 2 (first 2 seasons); romantic interest of Bree's; eventual villain; appeared in 7 episodes as a regular before being whacked in episode 9.

Chuck Vance - guest starred in season 7, hired as a regular in season 8 (last 2 seasons); romantic interest of Bree's; eventual villain; appeared in 7 episodes as a regular before being whacked in episode 9.

What are the odds?

Not a tribute, but anyone else noticed how Toby was in this episode? Ida's, and then Karen's, cat from the tornado episode? I think he'd last been seen in 5.02, when Dave kidnapped him briefly. I was so glad to see Toby again.

And, I don't know whether or not all of Bree's revolvers are the same brand, but the name Smith & Wesson was referenced again, as it was in the pilot. Also, we saw Bree actually loading it up, like Mary Alice in 8.02 (not a previous season, but... kind of like an omen, huh?).

List is updated. A lot of good finds!

@Renato: good job on noticing that George-Chuck connection, but I think it's better to keep the list only about the story itself, same for Toby. Although it wasn't said out loud, it's nice to think Toby's still around, playing hide and seek and getting on everyone's nerves.
