Obviously the title of this thread is pretty self-explanatory. Who do you think wrote the note? My personal vote: Andrew.

it may sound weird but think about it: He lives in Martha Huber's house, so it would bring back that element from Season 1. When the show started Bree had problems with Andrew. What better way to have that relationship come full circle than to have bad Andrew come back one last time? His motive? He blames Bree for his alcoholism and Alex leaving him. At some point the wives find out that it's Andrew and we have a final showdown with Bree and her son, resulting in his death....at the hands of Bree.

again, that may sound extreme but hear me out. Marc Cherry's initial inspiration for the show was the Andrea Yates trial, the woman who murdered her kids. He said to his mother "Can you imagine a woman being so desperate she'd murder her own children?"...well, in this case Bree would definitely be desperate enough if he had his hands on this information. it could even happen halfway through the season, so we see the ramifications later. Bree would be conflicted: relieved that the secret is still safe, hurt that her son was the blackmailer, devastated that he's dead and guilty that she did it. this could bring another bout of alcoholism or another stay in the psych ward, or even having her end her life in the series finale (if in fact, a housewife dies in the finale) she could be welcomed by Mary Alice, Rex and finally Andrew and the two of them finally forgive each other once and for all and the both of them can rest in peace.

if it was Zach I see it being his obsession with Gabby. it's possible that it is much deeper and darker than we originally saw in season 3...though why the note would end up at Bree's if that was the case I don't know. maybe it is hatred towards Bree, but I never really got a "Zach hates Bree" vibe.

Yeah, I always thought the same thing. I guess we'll find out!

Glad a thread like this was made but this mystery is very well covered up , seems almost impossible to crack right now but I'm gonna bet on someone that will be introduced later on in the season that wrote the letter.

However , I'm really trying to think of past people who could have wrote the letter , Perhaps it was Bree's mother in law , Andrew , Maisey gibbons , MAYBE (I know it's unlikely and an insane thought) one of the housewives wrote it (Susan) ?

Well , Ill be honest here , I'm clueless to who could have done it yet but I'll be keeping my eye on this thread , a thread that looks to be VERY interesting

One last though - Sam .....

I never even thought of Sam....that could always be a possibility, because I felt his exit in season 6 was way too abrupt.

I have a funny feeling about the carjacker He may have found out some evidence and traced down Bree ? I think I need to stop with the crazy thoughts now

I'm not sure how Andrew found out....maybe he was lurking around spying on Bree and saw what happened? I dunno, I'm sure they could find some way to make it work. Who knows though, I like the idea of it being Andrew but we'll see what happens!

It is hard to tell since there could be so many susects. My first thought was Sam since he abruptly left in season 6. I don't think it would be Andrew. Bree and him have been getting along so well since season 4 and I don't think Andrew would d that.

I saw someone suggest Susan. I think she could be a possibility since she hates this secret.

I just rewatched the ending the I think the handwriting is female. Now I could be wrong but it looks that way to me.

I have multiple theories, all equally possible, considering what has happened in the past seasons of Desperate Housewives.

First of all, what about Andrew? Andrew used to hate his mother, what if Andrew still does? What if Andrew's been drinking avidly and so, drunk one night, he decides to blackmail his mother?

Second of all, what about Sam? He left so abruptly during Season 6 that it was disappointing and left on a cliff. What if he lost his company and blames Bree for whatever reason? What if Sam was related to Alejandro? That one sounds a little far-fetched, but it does sound like something Desperate Housewives WOULD do.

Lastly, what about Bree herself? That's something that HASN'T, in the history of most shows been done... Maybe Bree has simply gone crazy and decides to blackmail herself into suicide? Mind = Blown.
