  • The 3rd Season Ends With The Weddings Of Gaby And Susan. Bree Returns To The Lane With A Surprise. Lynette's Mother Visits Her About The Cancer.

What a wonderful way to end a very good season of Desperate Housewives. The last few episodes have been quite boring in my opinion because of Bree's absence. I'm glad that she is back. She has been missed. The cast is at top-form here. Finally Susan marries Mike. They are ment for each other. I have been not so sure of this "Victor plot" but after watching this episode things became more juicier! What Gaby did with Carlos at her wedding was a terrible act from her. She kissed him? She could have waited a little longer. I did not like that. The episode ends with a dramatic cliffhanger and it may be the end for one of our characters. A very good finale, let's hope that DH can continue its good job to season 4 and beyond.moreless
  • Great finale! One of season threes best!!

The episode was just great!!! Edies suicide was a huge shocker. And i mean that uslly id guess these things but not this, she's a great character and hope she doesn't die but i think she will. If she doesn't she'll completley change again!!! Susan has funny lines in this like asking the priest what are you doing tonight! Liked their marriage it needed to be done. Gabby should just tell victor to get lost i mean its gabby she can take care of herself. Really like lynnetes charcter now, her mother will b interesting! bree is back which was just GREAT!!!! can't wait for season 4!!moreless
  • Great Finale, to a great season!

I loved this episode. Gabby getting married only to find out that the man she married keeping secrets from her, and his apology was only what she wanted to hear so she'll marry him.

Carlos getting to know the truth about Edie still being on the pill, and breake up with her..

Gabby and Carlos hooking up at her wedding(!)

Bree pretending to be pregnant so no one will know Danielle is pregnant. Susan and Mike tying the knot, secretly in the middle of the night

And of course, Edie hanging her self.. She probably won't die, but it certainly could have being nice :) lolmoreless
  • Season 3, Episode 23.

This episode was so good! One of the bests of season three! I don't understand all the hatred. So much is going on! Lynette has learned details about her cancer and her mother comes to visit! Her mother has experience with cancer and she has been estranged from Lynette. Gabby is getting married to Victor, who she learns only married her to bring in the Latino votes. :( She gets back together with Carlos! Bree returns for Gabby's wedding, pregnant. However, she's just faking it to cover up Danielle's pregnancy. Susan and Mike finally get married! YAY! This all just leads up to the amazing fourth season. Perfect episode!moreless
  • It kept me sitting to that chair so hard!!!

This season finale was great! This is the last episode I saw cause I'm still waiting for season 4 to come in my country! It was a fabulous episode! I'm so sorry for Gabrielle with that stupid husband of hers! And I'm happy for Susan and Mike but sad for Susan's kid with her love problems with Edie's cousin! I'm so glad Gabrielle and Carlos got together! Well... they did it on the strange way but we now know that there is a very big, huge and gigantic love between them! I'm so sorry for Lynette! It's so sad! :( :( :(

When Edie hung herself I was just stunned! But I know she'll be back! I just can't wait for new season! For the season 4!!!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • Bree is not doing a good job faking her pregnancy, watch closely at Gabrielle's reception, Bree was sitting with the girls at the table, at the end when she talks to Lynette the fake pillow she was wearing was so obvious, anyone sees it can tell that it's a pillow. She could've been busted for that.

    • With the airing of this episode, Edie has appeared in every episode of season 3, not missing a single episode.

    • For the first time in the series Gabrielle, Lynette, Bree and Susan are actually married.

    • This is the first season finale that didn't show Mary Alice. It's also the first finale in which the season mystery isn't resolved, in which no one dies, in which there aren't any flash-backs and the first in which a previously introduced new character(s) isn't showed as the one who contains the next season mystery. This is also the only season finale so far that doesn't feature a cliffhanger involving Mike.

    • When Gabrielle and Carlos split, it seemed as though she went back to her maiden name, Marquez. At Vern's fashion class she went by Marquez, her wedding invitation said Marquez, and the preacher said Marquez, yet in the opening narration Mary Alice says "Gabrielle Solis".

  • QUOTES (14)

    • Lynette: (to Tom) Well, in that spirit, as soon as I start chemo, I will be giving up shampoo.

    • Susan: I just got a lipstick yesterday. You could wear that!
Gabrielle: I just paid a make-up artist five hundred bucks to do my face, do you really think I wanna march down the aisle looking like I just ate a popsicle?!

    • Lynette: (about her mom) I am not leaving that woman in charge of our children. In three months, the twins will be chain-smoking and Penny will be an alcoholic.

    • Stella: (to Lynette) I have memorized the whole catalog of subjects you and I can no longer discuss, and if that means that we have to talk about the weather for three months, then fine. But I... am staying.

    • Stella: (to Lynette) Where the hell do you get off having cancer and not telling me about it?!

    • Parker: These are baby toys. We're too old to play with these.
Stella: Well, I'm too old to remember what the hell six-year-olds like to play with!

    • Susan: (to Mike) My idea of the perfect wedding keeps changing. One day I want white roses and then I want lillies .. only one thing stays constant - and I'm looking at him. Why would I need anything else to make my wedding perfect?

    • Susan: You name one thing that you think is going over the top.
      Mike: The dove wrangler...
Susan: Well the doves aren't going to release themselves!

    • Susan: I'm thinking a chocolate fountain would be a cool centerpiece to a dessert buffet.
Mike: Dessert buffet? We're having a wedding cake, right? Isn't that a dessert?
Susan: Yeah, but you have to give people a choice. Don't you think a chocolate fountain would be elegant?
Mike: I don't know, you, a big, white dress, melted chocolate? Am I the only one hearing alarm bells?

    • Minister: Are we ready?
Julie: (about Susan and Mike) Are you kidding? They've been dragging this thing out for three years!

    • Mary Alice: (narrating) Family. There is nothing more important. They're the ones who show up when we are in trouble. The ones who push us to succeed. The ones who help keep our secrets. But what of those who have no family to rely on? What happens to those poor souls who have no loved ones to help them in their hour of need? Well, most learn to walk life's road by themselves. But a sad few of us, simply stop trying.

    • Mike: (to Susan) I'm not Ian. I can't afford to move you into a mansion, or fly you off to Paris. But I'll be damned if I don't give you the same dream wedding he would've given you.

    • (Gabrielle asks Carlos to come to her wedding).
      Carlos: I can't go.
      Gabrielle: Why not?
Carlos: I'm a jinx. I wen't to your last wedding and look how that turned out. (Gabrielle gives him a look.) C'mon Gaby, we both know it'd be weird if I went.
Gabrielle: Okay, maybe a little, but it'll be weirder if you don't.
      Carlos: Excuse me?
Gabrielle: Look, everyone knows you're living with Edie, if she shows up alone people will think I asked her not to bring you like it bugs me that you guys are together.
Carlos: But it does bug you, you hit the roof when you found out.
Gabrielle: (now yelling at him) Which is why I have to show people that I'm Okay with it! (calms herself) Please, just, consider it my wedding gift.
Carlos: Okay.. But I'm skipping the ceremony.
Gabrielle: What? And just go to the reception? You can't do that.
Carlos: Well I don't wanna make a scene. You'll vow "Til death do us part" I'll bust out laughing, people will stare...
      Gabrielle: Reception starts at four.

    • (Carlos looks for money to give the paperboy and discovers Edie's pills.)
      Danny: What's that?
      Carlos: It's birth control pills.
      Danny: I'm gonna need cash.
