Will Julie spill what she knows? And will the mystery owner of the hand be revealed. Did tom set on fire Rick's place? Tom and Lynette, he says he was in the car listening to the game when Bree's speak was on, and he didn't start the fire. Dylan gets pulled over by a cop. He seems a little too into her. Even stroking her Driver's Licence. He has the circled newspaper article about Dylan. Bree packs to move out, but Susan wants her to stay. She even starts crying. Bree tells her she deals with her emotion in private like a lady.

Carlos gets his blind lead dog. She asks the man who drops of the dog some hilarious questions. Mike comes home from rehab and Susan makes him his favourite meal. When Susan goes up stairs Julie tells mike what Orson said to her. Katherine tells Bree that someone loved their event and wants to hire them for it. Katherine thinks that it's a good idea to set up as a business. Katherine says she needs the money and Bree says she has a baby and she doesn't really want to take it on. Katherine says that she'll do it by herself then. Bree soon realises what Kath is doing but still agrees to do it.

Carlos's dog does not seem to like Gabby. Mike goes round to see Orson to ask him about what he told Julie. Mike asks him out right and Orson starts to cry and tells him that he's sorry.

Gabby goes to bed only to find the dog (Roxy) in her place. Carlos chooses the dog over gabby. Susan (who seems to have grown a HUGE stomach in a matter of two episodes), learns from Mike. Tells her and she goes round there and shouts at him. Bree stands there clueless until Susan tells her. Bree looks dumbstruck. The cop "bumps" into Dylan again at the park. He says he just wants to talk to her and he asks about her mom. He admits to following her. He's Wayne Davis, he's her FATHER! As gabby drops the dog back off at the dog training place the dog chases after her. She tells Carlos that she ran away. She's then back at the widow of the house. Dylan and her father sit looking at each other not knowing what to say to each other. He admits to hitting her mother before. He says he wants a relationship with her. Rick goes the Scarvo restaurant. The matches found at the back of his restaurant are from Scarvo and say it on them. Lynette tries to stop the fighting but she can't. Then Andrew calls 911 and they all end up in a police station. Nick tells Lynette that he misses her

Susan tells mike that they have to move because she can't see Orson everyday. The twins ask why dad is sleeping downstairs. They tell their mother that they over heard the conversation. And that they went to his restaurant on their bikes and they set the fire. Susan talks to Bree and tells her that she can't forgive Orson and he is seen taking a suitcase and leaving. She has thrown him out. Dylan offers to help her mother with invites for the next event but really it's all a ploy. For her to meet her "father" who I am not one hundred per cent sold on yet. Bree puts picture of Orson in bin. We then see Orson all alone in a room crying. Very eventful and answered a lot of questions. Possibly the best episode back since the strike.

Bree and Katherine decide to start a catering business together. Lynette tries to deny her feelings for Rick. Mike learns the truth about his nearly fatal accident. Carlos gets a seeing-eye dog. Dylan meets her estranged father. I really enjoyed all the revelations in this episode. Mike finds out that Orson ran him over! I loved when Susan stormed over to Bree's house and made that scene. It rocked! Teri Hatcher is a pretty good actress, and pretty hot, too. I was so shocked when I saw Orson leave the house with a suitcase. The expression on Teri Hatcher's face was AMAZING. Great episode, definitely. 10/10.

This episode was so good. I cannot believe everything that happened. Julie told Mike about Orson confessing to the hit and run, while he was sleepwalking. Mike doesn't believe it at first, but Orson tells the truth when Mike asks him. Mike tells Susan and she storms down the street and starts a scene in the Hodge home. I did not expect Bree to kick Orson out at the end, as I've always pictured them together forever without any problems, or at least as the new Tom and Lynette. Tom and Rick fight, which is amusing, and I thought something bad was going to happen to Lynette, because she got cancer last time she fell like that. Thankfully, nothing did. This was overall a great episode and a solid 10.

Katherine's Household: Dylan runs into a police officer who seems to have a very deep interest in her and through this very mysterious police officer, she discovers things from her past. Meanwhile, Katherine is starting her very own party planning agency and she sort of blackmails Bree to help her out with it. The mystery this season is finally getting interesting and seeing how Katherine is acting towards Bree, I think she might just end up being the good guy.

Lynette's Household: She goes through the trouble of figuring out who set Rick's place on fire and she has got her sights set on Tom. In this episode, we find out who burned down Rick's place and it is out of character for this certain persona who torched it, but it does make sense. Kudos for catching me off guard!

Gabby's Household: It gets boring with Gabby and Carlos, it's like every week it's the same old Gabby again and at the end of the episode everything just seems to be all peachy. Kill her off. Now.

Susan's Household: Julie confronts Mike with what she heard and Susan eventually discovers a very deep secret that causes her to freak out. I never expected the secret to be reveled so soon, but I guess it was as good a time as any.

Bree's Household: Big problems occur in Bree's newly fixed household as she finds out big secrets and makes drastic decisions. I don't like what they did with the whole situation, but I think it will undo itself.
  • Dylan meets her father for the first time in years and sees him behind her mother's back. Tom and Rick have a big showdown, while Mike finds out Orson ran him over! Gabby and Carlos get a seeing eye dog named Roxy.

This was a great episode in my opinion! I'm not too sure what to make of Dylan's "dad"...is it really her dad or is he some creep that is trying to get to Katherine? Don't really know, but I don't trust him. I think Dylan was rather foolish in trusting him so easily. If I were her I would have had a ton of questions that I would want answered before I would even consider going anywhere with him. Teri Hatcher's acting in this episode was also amazing! It's been a while since I felt like she's really been able to pull off the comedy without looking like a complete moron, I think this is some of her best work since season 1 to be honest. The stuff with Tom/Lynette was great, especially the scene in the car...Tom blew me away. The Bree/Orson/Mike/Susan thing was amazing, again going back to Teri's amazing acting in this episode along with Marcia, Kyle and James..all worked together quite well. Gabby and Carlos were rather blah for me, not gonna lie.

Bree (to Susan): "I think it's admirable that you want to forgive Orson because I can't".

Allow me to be frank; I really don't understand why Bree might have difficulty forgiving Orson. Okay I more than realise the severity of what he tried to do to Mike but out of everyone who discovers this little secret in this week's episode, Bree is actually the person I feel least sympathetic for.

Before I go any further with this review, I repeat that I don't condone what Orson did to Mike but that being said, Bree still doesn't muster any real amount of sympathy for me either, especially not compared to Mike or Susan. I know it's got to be hurtful and humiliating for Bree to discover that Orson nearly killed Mike but there's something about her general reaction that reeks of hypocrisy. Last time I checked, while Bree might like to project the image of domestic goddess she's got more than enough skeletons in her closet.

There's just something about the later conversation she has with Susan where the latter is really trying to compose herself and be mature and Bree shoehorns that by effectively telling Susan that she's ready to throw in the towel with Orson. Normally I should feel weird defending Orson instead of Bree but I just can't help it.

I think the reason why I have such a hard time accepting Bree's willingness to ostracise Orson is because while she might not have not nearly killed a person herself, she's done more than enough to be ashamed of herself. For instance, this is the same woman who hid Andrew's hit and run on Mama Solis, had a sponsor falsely arrested for drug possession and spent the last few months faking a pregnancy in order to keep up appearance. When you take all those into account, does Bree actually have the moral high ground in her dealing of Orson?

Personally I don't think so but at the same time she does seem determined not to take Orson back. Another why Bree's argument doesn't stand up very well is that she has had front row seats to how manipulative and deadly Gloria is as an adversary. Orson might have been a grown man but Gloria really did have him over a barrel.

Also as a shipper, I don't actually want to see Bree and Orson break up. I know and applaud the writers for dealing with the consequences of what Orson did because there should be some fallout of it.

However if Mike, the person who actually has the biggest right to furious at Orson can find it in him to try and forgive the man, then Bree really needs to come up with a better excuse as to why she's not able to do the same thing. Plus ending this coupling would be one of the worst things this show could do.

Mike's reaction to this particular revelation is extraordinary. Given how much he really doesn't like to be crossed by anyone, it's amazing how calm he reacts when Orson admits to what he's done. There was one point before the apology where I thought that Mike was gonna smash Orson's hand with that hammer but he managed to keep his rage in check.

Then again, Mike didn't actually need to lose his temper as Susan was more than happy to do that for him. Spending most of the time acting extra insecure because of her hormones, finding out that one of her friends tried to murder her husband is enough to really frazzle her nerves.

Suffice to say the worst Orson experiences is a tongue lashing but even still, Susan doesn't hold back in how she feels. Here, Susan does have the right to voice her anger at Orson as well as her confusion as to why Mike is able to forgive Orson. Mike doesn't have to forgive Orson so the fact that he's willing to is great.

Katherine meanwhile has her own problems to deal with. Now that Adam is no longer providing for her, the next best thing is to go into business with Bree. Given that the last episode had Bree almost poison Katherine, you'd think the woman must have some kind of death wish asking for her help again.

Bree naturally tries to come up with every logical excuse under the sun as to why the pair of them working together would even make Sir Alan Sugar's blood boil but Katherine resorts to blackmail to get what she wants yet again. Well if Bree won't do it voluntarily, then what's a little blackmail between neighbours?

With Katherine more than happy to get her own little empire off the ground, it makes for a good week to reintroduce Wayne into the fray. After the pen circling thing of last week, the actual thought of him being dead went out the window. It's also great that he didn't waste time in coming to Wisteria Lane.

The first thing he does is stop Dylan in her car with a false story about her driving but then he meets her later and actually reveals who he is. Dylan should be relieved that the man stalking her is her father rather than some pervert but honestly, Wayne is a bit too creepy for my liking.

One thing this show does well is find some of the best actors and roping in Gary Cole to play cop Wayne Davis is a long run of great casting coups. Although he does the creepy thing a bit blatantly obvious for my liking, I did enjoy his scenes with Lindsy Fonseca a lot.

Wayne is actually hard to figure out as a character. He openly talks to Dylan about his violent past regarding Katherine and although her initial reaction is of disgust, she's able to overcome it enough to lie to her mum about seeing him. The thing I'm wondering is whether or not he's all that bad.

I mean Katherine obviously thought he was bad enough to leave and like I said that creepy vibe of his is thrown at us a little too obviously but because there doesn't seem to be a lot of cohesion with this plot, I just don't know how bad Wayne either is or will turn out to be in the remaining four episodes of the season.

While Wayne might radiate 'sinister' upon looking at him, one person who doesn't is Tom. Nowadays he reeks of either annoyance or childishness. In the case of this episode both odours happen to come off on Tom as Lynette is confused about whether or not he burned down Rick's restaurant.

I know the previous episode made it so look like he did but in all fairness, I just knew that Tom wouldn't do. Not because I think he's a totally good guy incapable of an extreme act but just because this show does like to turn things on it's head. So then it's really interesting when Porter and Preston both reveal to Lynette that they burned the restaurant down.

The scene where they confess their little crime had the potential to be quite lame but thankfully the little actors playing the twins actually nailed it. Porter and Preston's reasons aren't really malicious – they just don't want their parents to split up but clearly they're not the smartest of arsonists when they use matches from Tom's place and leave the evidence behind.

A little thing like that was enough to rile Rick into trying to beat the crap out of Tom and also enough to drop him in on it with the police. Lynette's quick little lie that Tom was in disposed when Rick's place went up in flames might have saved his ass but even then Lynette still didn't think her husband was all that innocent.

Unlike last week where some sympathy could be drawn for Tom's behaviour, this episode made the error of turning him into a total jackass. His behaviour towards Lynette really hit the callous point and there was something incredibly nasty about him during their argument in the car. I'm surprised Lynette didn't punch him.

Also given that most viewers nowadays would like to see nothing better than Lynette and Tom to break up, I could see that happening if Rick is still around and Tome still continues to behave like a selfish jerk. These last two seasons really haven't done the character or Doug Savant any favours.

Speaking of no favours, Gabby is still determined to believe that the world revolves around her. When Carlos gets saddled with a lovely looking guide dog named Roxy, Gabby is quick to assume the poor animal is trained to practically clean the house and when she realises that even the dog has it's limits, she doesn't much care for it.

However Roxy wins me over as a viewer when it takes an aggressive dislike to how Gabby treats Carlos. Like a lot of people, Roxy clearly thinks it's no longer cute or funny to hurt Carlos and growls at Gabby when she hits Carlos or even yells at him. The better part of this is that Gabby's later attempts to get rid of the dog just fail. It's nice to see that not every rival can be disposed of.

Getting back to Gabby's treatment of Carlos, the man is blind and she still behaves like a vile animal towards. To illustrate that even further you've got Edie on her high horse telling Gabby that she could lose Carlos if she keeps her poor treatment of him. Much as I hated Edie's inclusion in this plot, I had to agree with what she said. Still doesn't mean that I wished someone else had said that to Gabby instead of her though.

    Also in "Hello Little Girl"

The opening scene with Lynette had her going through Tom's different methods for lying. These included him repeating questions, using strange words and heightening his voice.

Bree (to Susan): "As much as I appreciate this naked display of emotions, you know this sort of thing makes me uncomfortable".

Is it strange that Andrew occasionally steals from the Scavos' till? I know Tom's a bit of a dunce but you'd think Lynette would've noticed.

Susan: "So you don't think I act like a lady?"

Bree: "Prove me wrong sweetie, prove me wrong".

Carlos (re Gabrielle): "Did I exaggerate?"

    Steve: "Actually you were kind".

Bree's home is finally done, except for the upstairs part of it. Imagine if that Orson reveal had come while she was still living with Susan.

Katherine: "I think it's our creative friction that makes us a team".

Bree: "I think it's our creative friction that caused me to nearly poison you".

Gabrielle: "Besides you're the one who married me for my looks".

Carlos: "I'm blind now so as long as you use deodorant I'm good".

Did anyone else think that Roxy the dog looked a little like Digby from Pushing Daisies?

Dylan: "I don't know what to say to you".

Wayne: "You don't have to say anything. I'm having a good time just looking at you".

Lynette: "You lied about the brick and you were pretty smooth about that. Hell, I even bought".

Tom: "Like that story where you didn't sleep with Rick".

I didn't spot Kayla, Parker or Penny in this episode and it's also strange that the writers have forgotten about Danielle, Bob and Lee. Edie (to Gabrielle): "If you're not gonna treat Carlos right there are plenty of women out there that will. I think I've proven that".

    Dylan: "What?"

Katherine: "It's like you've turned into this lovely young woman when I wasn't looking".

Chronology: The day after the end of "In Buddy's Eyes".

Not quite as stunning as the previous episode but as a further lead in, "Hello Little Girl" makes all the right kinds of noise. Wayne and Orson's plots were obviously the strongest with the Gabby/Carlos stuff being the weakest but overall, nothing really sucked or dragged.
  • A brilliant episode, I love the whole Lynette/Tom/Rick story and another secret is finally uncovered by someone. Contains Spoilers.

This was another brilliant episode of the show, it is really getting good again, not that it fell in quality. I'm glad to see the Rick and Lynette story return, as I liked this in season three. I really did think it was Tom who set Rick's place on fire but when the twins said it was them, I wasn't overly surprised, good twist though, but could they be lying.

Gabby's story throughout was very funny, the dg reactions to her were hilarious, she kept growling and barking at a shocked Gabby. How she tried to get rid of t as well, was so Gabby. Nice to see Edie and gabby in a scene together since the hurricane, got through to Gabby at least.

Mike finally found out, yay. This was something I'm sure we've all been waiting for and imo, it didn't disappoint. I liked how it was done, it was believable. The highlight of the episode was definitely when Susan stormed over after finding out herself, her anger and shock was done really well, very engrossing. What about the end .... Bree kicked Orson out, can't wait to see more on this.

Katherine's husband/Dylan's fathers return, he was really creepy, can't help but think if its actually her dad or not. Interesting storyline no doubt. I can't wait till next weeks, so much to find out about.

Another fast paced episode thats does a lot and does it well. This episode really is the show back on top form. My fears that the show might be going nowhere with its current stories but those fears were laid to rest. All the storylines went very well, the only smal cmplaint I have is not seeing much of Edie. Personal highlights were everything! I cant pick a point I liked least. This wasn't a laugh out loud episode - some parts were very serious and dark, but whee it was light hearted it pulled it off in a very satisfying way. This easily sits in the top 5 of this season so far.

Let me just start out this review by saying that I absolutely loved this episode of Desperate Housewives. I really thought that this episode was amazing. I have to admit that for a while, I was seriously considering giving up on watching Desperate Housewives together, but after not taking a break from watching Desperate Housewives during the entire duration of the writers strike, I have to say that since the new post-writers strike episodes of Desperate Housewives have started airing, I think that the show is back and better than ever before. I have definitely completely fallen in love with the show all over again. All of the episodes and all of the housewives' story lines in all of the post-strike episodes have been great, and this episode is no exception. While I enjoyed all of the story lines in this episode, I especially loved Gabrielle's story line with Carlos' guide dog and the idea of Bree and Katherine working together. The character of Katherine really has been an absolutely wonderful addition of Desperate Housewives. I can't wait to see how that all turns out. I also loved the whole reveal between Mike, Susan, Orsan and Bree. They all played that story line very well. All things considered, this really was amazing episode of Desperate Housewives, and I can't wait to see the next new episode.
  • Mike finds out Orson ran him over. Rick and Tom fight.

This episode was a step-down from last week, but it was still another strong installment of Desperate Housewives.

I found Susan very annoying in this episode with the crying, and then getting mad at Orson. It's understandable as she is pregnant, and her husband had been run over by him, but her usual wacky behavior just didn't fit in with this storyline.

The fight between Rick and Tom was very amusing, especially Lynette getting shoved into the counter. The fighting between the dog and Gabrielle also provided some solid laughs.

I hope this is not the end of Orson on Wisteria Lane, as he's a very entertaining character. His relationship with Bree is also exciting and gives the viewer some good humor.

This episode seemed sort of like a filler though, and hopefully we get some strong storylines next week.
  • OMG, this was probably one of the most intense episodes this season.

Wow, I am so impressed with this episode. It was intense. We learned so much about a lot of things. But first things first, Orson and Mike. Oh my god!!! I jumped out in shock when Orson didn't deny and started crying when Mike confronted him. I almost felt sorry for Orson. I can't believe Mike has decided to forgive him! I loved it when he told Susan and she stormed into Bree's and started yelling at Orson. I thought she was gonna go into premature labor there! I was so scared. I am really glad this story is out in the open, but like I feared, this is gonna be hell for those two families. I am very impressed Bree left Orson. I didn't expect that at all.

Second, oh my god the twins!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I never for once thought it could have been their work! I was sure Tom didn't do it, but always kept thinking maybe it was one of Rick's old junky friends. Wow.... that was a great twist to the episode. I loved it. Maybe they are covering up for Tom, but I really don't think they are. Those two are capable of a lot!

Dylan meeting her father. That was so exciting. I knew he wasn't dead. When the cop pulled her over, I read his name tag and I was like Davis, oh my god, that's Katherine's old name, this is Dylan's dad! So exciting!!! He is being nice and all, but I think he has an ulterior motive. I still think the real Dylan died and that's her grave in the woods....

Gaby and the dog were too funny..... I can't believe how selfish that woman is. I hate that they are showing less and less of Edie. I hope they come up with some good stories for her.
  • A very good episode, one that is quite fast-paced and enjoyable!

    9.5
    "Superb"
This season has been on a roll, I'm nearly enjoying it more than I enjoyed the first season so that's definitely something!

Ok, so with this episode Julie tells Mike about what Orson said while he was sleepwalking and Mike quickly confronts Orson about running him over. Mike later tells Susan who rushes to Bree's house to ask Orson to stay away from her family. Eventually, Mike forgives Orson and Susan tells Bree that she will always love her despite what Orson did but surprisingly, Bree can't seem to forgive him either and he moves out of the house! Susan was brilliant in this episode, she offered lots of comedy early on and her scenes when she was angry were definitely amazing, also Orson continues to show that he's a great actor.

Lynette confronts Tom about the fire and he says that he didn't do it, but she still has her doubts. Later on, Rick visits the Pizzeria and he ends up in a fist fight with Tom which ends with Andrew calling 911. Eventually Lynette lies to the police by giving Tom an allabi and so Tom is free of charge but they fight in the car as Tom still thinks that Lynette had an affair with Rick. Eventually Lynette's kids come to her and tell her that they burned Rick's place and this totally shocks Lynette.

Also Katherine comes to Bree in an attempt to get her to begin a catering business with her and she actually succeeds in a really sweat scene. Also Dylan is visited by the man who circled her face in the previous episode and he turns out to be her father, Wayne Davis, just as expected. They go out to lunch and they decide to keep their meetings a secret from her mother. Also this crosses the question, why did Aunt Lily say that her father was murdered? Maybe he wasn't murdered after all or maybe he's not her father! Also he has some tricks up his sleeve, it's getting very fishy!

Gabrielle and Carlos had the lamest storyline of the season, it was enjoyable at first but then it got really lame. So Carlos gets a Seeing Eye dog called Roxy which Gabrielle doesn't get along with well and things get worse when Carlos insists that it sleeps with them in bed. Gabrielle tries to get rid of the dog and delivers a hilarious one-liner about a Seeing Eye monkey, lol. Eventually, the dog is brought back and a chat with Edie urges her to accept having the dog. This definitely wasn't the highlight of the episode.

Overall, it was a great episode with lots of drama and surprises and the tension is starting to build up for the season finale already! Can't wait for future episodes

Personally, this was my favorite episode of the whole season. I mean, what a fast-paced, surprise-filled episode this was! First, Orson's story. We all knew this was going to come up at some point, but I was really surprised at how sad I was for him. Let's hope they don't do away with him; I really believe he deserves a second chance.

Susan--I LOVED her in this episode. There's a purity and honesty to her character that is really appealing, despite her clumsiness and goofy charm. It's always a surprise to see her get angry, especially when she learns what Orson did to Mike.

Dylan's father. I gotta tell you, Dylan's really grown on me as a character. I was afraid she would become a throwaway character, but that's not the case. But is this man really her father? Either way, seems that Dylan is willing to keep her interaction with him a secret from her mom. God, this story has been fantastic.

Gabby/Carlos/Dog. That was cute. Provided some nice comedy.

Bree. This poor woman. Last year, she had to deal with Orson's psycho mom, and now...well..it's gonna be tough. Although I did love the Bree/Katherine moment:

"This is shameless emotional blackmail! And it worked beautifully. I'm in."

Lynette/Tom/Arsonist. There was actually a really nice reveal here, and it made sense. (If you haven't seen it, I won't give it away)

Does anyone else out there think that this season almost tops the first season?
