Edie's letter is clearly marked "Eagle State, USA", which confirms yet again the show is set in a fictional state (and not in California, as many people assume).
"Eagle State" is also written on the licence plates of every vehicle in the show, but was last explicitly seen on-screen in Episode 111 "Move On".
