  • In Part One Of A Two Part Episode, Mike Confronts The Guy He Believes Killed Monique. Orson Make A Confession To Bree And Gaby Is Depressed. Ian Proposes Susan.

This is definitely an exciting episode of this season. I loved this episode so much because there were lots of character and plot development for all characters. The flashbacks of Mike's past are very well done. In fact, they are kinda frightening. Orson's confession to Bree (which I won't mention in this review) was quite shocking. It had me fooled since I did not excpect that kind of a revelation. I really did not care for Gaby's storyline but it managed to keep my interest. I never thought that Desperate Housewives would go into dark themes such as male rapes (Orson's ex-wife raped Orson). The episode ends with a breath-taking cliffhanger and it may be the end for one of the characters. An excellent episode.moreless
  • Ian proposes to Susan; Bree falls off a ladder; Mike regains his memory of Orson; and Orson falls from the roof of the hospital.

This episode was so amazing. It is a series classic. It was an excellent return and a great storyline. Bree falls off a ladder when she tries to get what she thinks is Monique's teeth. It was just a bag of marbles. Orson falls from the roof of the hospital after he gets into a fight with Mike. It was so dramatic. Ian proposes to Susan. The setting could have been better, as Susan explains, so he waits. It was yet another great episode. Marc Cherry is very creative and talented. This episode is yet another great installment to this amazing series.moreless
  • OMG!!!!!!

This is the best episode since Bang, I was glued to the screen, (I know it sounds cliche but, hey I was). A lot of secrets were revealed but I do want to know what Orson told Bree. Anyway, Gloria locks Alma in her attic, Mike sees a hypnotherapist and uncovers some evidence that proves he didnt kill Monique, Bree falls off a ladder after being tricked into retrieving Monique's teeth, which funnily enough turns out to be a bag of marbles (now I know someone falling off a ladder isn't funny but come on), Susan gatecrashes Jane's funeral by revealing to one of the guests that she is Ian's other woman leading to him proposing. Andrew threatens Orson about his part in Monique's death. Mike finds out Orson was at the house on the night of Monique's death and confronts him on the hospital roof where Bree is. They fight and Mike accidentally pushes Orson off the roof...To be Continued.

    Brilliant cliffhanger.moreless
  • Exciting story-line and Orson's mother at her best.

Two months after his accident Mike starts to remember things about the night Monique was killed but not exactly who killed her. Only later he learns who could have been the murderer while Bree learns the whole truth and mysteriously falls off a ladder. Susan attends Jane's funeral and gets introduced as Ian's new girlfriend. In the meantime, Gabrielle meets an attractive man who is Zack's employee and she wants to spend her 30th birthday with him. But the evening takes an interesting turn. Finally, Lynette doesn't want to be bossed around by her husband who says that she's the boss at home and he's the boss at work.

This episode was again very good, but a little less exciting than the last one. We finally get to see what happened the night Monique Pollier got killed, but we don't get to see the whole truth. They way Gabrielle has to struggle with Zack is just funny and I can't wait to see what happens. My favourite storyline was this time the Bree and Orson story-line because the mystery is about to get solved. I really learned to hate Orsons mother but she's a character I like to see.

Can't wait for the second part (of course Orson's not going to die although he's pushed off the roof, that would be lame). Hope the next episode finally solves the mystery.moreless
  • To Be Continued...

Great episode! Zach continues to try and get Gabrielle. Wow she is 31! She doesn't look that old. It was great when Zach sends that thing to that guy saying she is Zach's. Then he later calls him telling him what to say or he is fired. That was just brillent! Ian proposes to Susan. Yay! Orson makes Alma mad. Bree falls from the latter. Andrew blames Orson for her fall. At the end Mike is fighting with Orson when he gets pushed over the edge. Next episode is awesome! We all know Orson will still be alive which is good!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: After Bree throws water on Orson to wake him, the upper part of his shirt goes from being spotted with water to being soaked.

    • The episode marks the first use of a "To Be Continued..." card in the aired series. Although in the DVD sets for season two released in some regions, at the end of "Remember (1)", a small "To Be Continued..." is seen at the end of the episode.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Lynette: I told you I wanted this floor to sparkle like your mom's. Now does this floor look Bree Hodge clean to you?
Andrew: Uh... no. It looks Andrew Van de Kamp clean. But your disappointment in me is very Bree Hodge.

    • Zach: (referring to Luke) That was really weird. I don't even know the guy and he works for me.
      Gabrielle: Works for me too!

    • (Ian is about to propose to Susan at the morgue.)
Susan: I hadn't really thought a lot about this moment, but when I did... the table we were at didn't have a blood gutter.

    • Susan is picking out a dress to wear to Jane's funeral.
Susan: It's not about me, this is about Jane and Ian. What if I wore this one?
Julie: Then it'll be about Jane, Ian and your boobs.
Susan: I have got to get more depressing clothes.

    • Mary Alice: (narrating) It was six o'clock in the morning and Bree Hodge was faced with a dilemma familiar to countless housewives. Should she wake her husband to discuss recent events that were weighing heavily on her mind? Or should she let him continue to get the rest he needed? Bree made the obvious choice. (Bree empties her glass of water onto Orson's face.)

    • Edie: Oh Tom please, you've checked out my butt enough times to know that I don't eat pizza.

    • Gabrielle: A single woman in her thirties. I now have to subscribe to Cat Fancy. It's the law.

    • Orson: I had sex with Alma and I wasn't even conscious? How reminiscent of our marriage...

    • I Claudius:

Bree comments to Orson that his mother is something out of I Claudius. She is referring to the character of Livia, the wife of Augustus who schemed, plotted and had many people murdered who stood between her son Tiberius and the Roman Imperial throne. I Claudius is a famous novel by Robert Graves and a very famous BBC mini-series that ran on PBS in the United States.
