Oh, wow, where do I begin? This episode was so good! Susan meets her ex-husband, Karl at a Lamaze class, and finds out that he has remarried and is having another child. Lynette learns who was responsible for starting the fire at Rick's restaurant. Bree wants Orson to turn himself in to the police. Gabrielle rents a room to a hip artist, Ellie, who has a dark secret. Dylan continues meeting with her father, Wayne, and Katherine decides to go spy on her. I loved when Kayla tricked the kids into jumping off the roof. Ellie seemed like such a nice character at first, too. Shame about the cocaine. Not the best story for Susan, but Susan looked pretty hot in the scene where she brought Mike to the Lamaze class. =]

In this episode Bree and Hodge separate their belongings. He says she can keep everything it's just her that he wants. She says that the one way she can forgive him is if he turns himself in. He says he can't. Gabby puts an ad in the paper about a room to let. A woman named Ellie moves in. Tom is hard on the twins (after the whole fire thing). Susan and Julie go to Lamaze class. Julie leaves to go to see a movie, and Susan is all by herself and feels out of place as everyone else is in couples. Julie comes rushing back in and tells Susan that Karl's girlfriend is pregnant, they are married and they are about to enter the same class as she is in. Gabby goes to ask Ellie if she can borrow something and then bumps into a man in her room. Gabby then hears the man leaving and then notices that Ellie is counting money as she is coming back in the house. Lynette over hears the twins talking and realises that Kayla had something to do with the fire. Kayla tells her that she just suggested them using matches. Susan and Mike go to the next Lamaze class together and when they bump into Karl, Mike lets slip about his drug problem. Lynette suggests to Tom that Kayla needs therapy. Lynette takes Kayla to a shrink behind Tom's back and Kayla tells her that if she has to talk to the shrink the she will also be talking to the cops about the fire. We discover that Ellie is a tattooist. When Tom finds out that Lynette took Kayla to therapy he flips out. Kayla tries to trick the twin into jumping off of the roof and says that she just did it when she didn't. Tom and Lynette keep arguing and then they hear the kids screaming. One of the twins hurts their arm. Karen offers to look after the kids for them, so that they can both go to the hospital. Susan and Karl talk and try to re-connect, when they are both at Lamaze class alone together. Bree admits to Katherine that she will let Hodge home eventually. Katherine follows Dylan on her "date" and discovers that Dylan has been meeting her father. Dylan comes clean to her mother about who she has been meeting.

Gabby: After her drama with Carlos settles a bit, she finds new problems, money. She then decides to rent a room i their house and was able to rent it to a girl whom Gabby suspects to be a prostitute. She proves herself innocent, but it is a very interesting plot to pursue, I'd like to see it evolve.

Susan: She meet sup with Karl and his new wife and she gets jealous. She then gets competitive with Karl and starts to feel insecure when she sees that Karl has married to a young, attractive woman and all she has is a wannabe sober plumber. A filler plot if you ask me.

Lynette: She stats to feel concerned over Kayla due to her strange recent behavior. She gets into arguments with Tom about her condition and we see some possible amazing ideas going on in the Scavo household.

Bree: Orson continues to try and win back her love and Bree is getting a bit jealous after Orson moves in with Edie.

This episode was so entertaining! I loved Kayla and Lynette's storylines in this episode. I loved when Kayla tricked the twins into jumping off the roof. The scene was so well played, and Kayla was portrayed as a very demonic character, which I liked. Bree thinks that Orson is dating Edie. I was happy to see that Toby, the cat, survived the tornado. I felt upset thinking that he may have died. Gabby's plot in this episode was funny, as she got a roommate, Ellie, and she thinks she is a prostitute. She gets the gay neighbor to try to pick her up to see, but the plan backfires. This episode was hilarious, and Susan looked gorgeous when she was all dressed up at Lamaze class. This episode is definitely a series classic.
  • Where do I begin? Kayla is a little you-know-what, Gaby and Carlos have a new houseguest, Orson temporarily shacks up with Edie and Susan tells her ex, Carl, where to go. And something big happens at the Mayfair house.

I cannot believe that it is one week after the original airdate of this episode and I just watched it. It has been a very busy week but holy crap! Well we knew last week that Porter and Preston were the little firestarters but this week it is revealed that little evil Kayla was the mastermind behind it. I always knew that she would be the one to destroy the Scavo family and she has been too quiet that something was bound to happen. Lynette tries to take her to therapy but the little psycho tells Lynette if she has to go talk to a shrink, then she would have to tell the police about who started the fire. God and I thought my sister was a brat! So she's getting blackmailed by Kayla and there's really nothing that Lynette can do because Tom defends his little girl. The icing on the cake if you will was when Kayla pretended to jump off the roof with an umbrella right in front of Preston and Porter. Being the curious boys they are, one of them tries it and ends up possibly breaking his arm. I can see this is going nowhere good and something has to be done about that little she-devil. Over at the Hodge residence, Orson begs Bree to take him back and she tells him that the only way she can forgive him and take him back is if he goes to the police and tells them that he was the one who ran down Mike Delfino. Of course Orson does not want to do that and goes off and gets drunk and once again tries to get Bree back. This time Bree has enough of him and asks a passerby Edie to take him home. He tells Edie he doesn't want to go there because it is lonely, so Edie offers to put him up for the night. The next day Bree comes by her house to see why his car is still at her place and she tells Bree that Orson is in the shower. This, of course, infuriates Bree who automatically assumes that they had sex. Seeing that this is upsetting Bree, mainly because Bree pretty much calls Edie a jezebel, Edie decides to let Orson stay as long as he wants. They end up kissing one night over alcohol and are caught by Bree. Gaby and Carlos welcome a new houseguest, played by the awesome Justine Bateman, who Gaby thinks is a prostitute. So she enlists the help of the gay neighbors, or gaybors, who ruin the plan and is revealed that Gaby thought she was a pro because of the many men and the large amounts of money. She tells her that she is running a tattoo parlor out of her room because that is her life goal and she does not get along with the tattoo parlor man downtown. Liar, liar pants on fire! She's dealing cocaine out of the Solis' house. Gulp! Finally Susan and Mike run into Susan's ex Carl and his new wife at Lamaze class and after Carl is done bragging and putting down Mike and showing off, Susan tells him off and feels much better, but Carl was just jealous to see Susan so happy. Kind of a lame storyline for Susan but whatever. And the biggest surprise of the night was that Dylan reunites her parents after Katherine follows Dylan to a restaurant to spy on her because she has been secretly meeting her father. Dylan brings her dad to her and Katherine's house and there was so much tension you could cut it with a knife. Katherine tells her ex that she is not scared of him any more and he cannot lay a finger on her anymore but the biggest shocker was that the whole time they were talking in the kitchen, Katherine was hiding a hand gun in a drawer. What in the heck did he do to her? I guess tonight's episode better reveal that!!!!

    Orson: "You're a good person".

Edie: "Well you're not so bad yourself".

Well this episode might have a title that would suggest something welcoming but most of the spoilers argue the exact opposite of such a gesture. Some people might be welcome but most of them either aren't or by all means shouldn't.

Kayla for instance has welcomed back in that grudge she harboured against Lynette in the second half of the previous season. It's also her this week that is the reason why Tom and Lynette are fighting for the umpteenth time as well. Not that Kayla has to do a lot to get them at each others throats.

Because Porter and Preston aren't that discreet when moaning about their punishment for being arsonists, Lynette soon discovers that Kayla was involved too. She might not have been dumb enough to help the boys set Rick's restaurant alight but she definitely planted the idea in the twins head.

Legally Kayla could get into a lot of trouble given that she's thirteen but the girl isn't exactly quaking in her boots when Lynette tries to talk to her about the seriousness of her actions. Nope, she's the picture of calm and creepy as she casually threatens to drop Porter and Preston in it if Lynette tries to punish her.

However unlike Tom, Kayla should know well by now that Lynette won't be pushed around. Sure Tom won't back her up on the suggestion of the girl seeing a shrink but it doesn't stop Lynette from actually taking to see one nonetheless either.

That being said Kayla also won't back down and when she threatens to make Lynette look bad in front of the shrink, Lynette doesn't have much option but to leave. So far it's Kayla who is winning the battle but will succeed in her war with Lynette?

Given that Tom is becoming such a Grade A idiot, it seems quite possibly. While Lynette was harsh in rejecting his idea to take the boys to a shrink, Tom just went and did exactly the same thing when Lynette suggested that Kayla should see one and unlike her brothers, it's more logical that Kayla could benefit from seeing a shrink.

Instead of seeing that rational, Tom behaved monstrously toward Lynette and accused her of being bias with Kayla. Tom needs to seriously shut the hell up and fast. It's becoming far too much of a recurring theme with him to either blame Lynette or demonise her for her actions.

Lynette's pleas for Kayla to see a shrink at least do have some basis when Kayla is able to manipulate one of the twins into hurting themselves. Granted the whole umbrella/roof is so dangerous that even Porter and Preston should know but the evil look Kayla gave Lynette after the accident shows a very disturbed young girl.

Praise to Rachel Fox who has managed to inject some of the creepiness in Kayla as Lynette will soon realise what Bree went through with Andrew in the first two seasons due to the way that Kayla is behaving now. It's just a pity that Tom is so mind numbingly stupid that he doesn't realise his little first born is a demon child.

Speaking of realisation, I wished someone would shake Bree incessantly and give her a run down on what a hypocrite is supposed to be. She's still not willing to take Orson back and has him collect his stuff so that he can move out properly. Orson tries pleading but Bree seems pretty adamant with not taking him back.

I was hoping that in his quest to win her around that Orson would some of Bree's many unethical actions against her, particularly the fact that she faked a pregnancy and covered up a hit and run when Andrew didn't give a damn about what he did at the time. Sadly he doesn't as his second option involves getting drunk.

Less successful in his bid to win Bree back, he then suggests bending the truth. Bree wanting Orson to go to jail because it would be the right to do is both utter crap and not her decision to make. It's Mike's decision to make that call and if he is able to move from it, then I'm sorry but so should Bree. However instead of trying to deal with her problems head on, Bree just ignores a drunken Orson and passes him off to Edie. You'd think Bree would be wary of Edie, given her history with other women's men but she's so desperate to not deal with things that Edie must have seemed like a good idea at the time.

Edie shows a bit of compassion by allowing Orson to crash at her place and sleep off his hangover but Bree automatically gets the wrong idea and pisses off Edie. It's lucky for Bree that Edie's method of spite here is just to give Orson a place to stay. After all it would be terrible if Edie wanted to burn Bree's home to the ground and we know she's a dab hand at that.

Unfortunately though, because Marc Cherry seems to have lost that happy medium he once had with Edie during Season One and the first half of Season Two, there's a nasty feeling that Edie might want to get her claws into Orson after all. She does try her case on when they're drunk and Bree also happens to witness that microscopic snog rather conveniently.

The fun part is that while Orson appreciates Edie's generosity, he ain't interested in going there and breaks the kiss instantly. Too bad Bree couldn't have stayed long enough to witness that little scene as well. Why do I sudden get the feeling that we have yet another feud building up? At this point the only housewives that Edie hasn't managed to enrage are Lynette and Katherine.

Katherine also another housewife with husband trouble. While Bree is being a cold hearted **** to Orson and Lynette is being demonised by Tom, Katherine just faces up to the fact that Wayne has finally caught up with her after all this time. In fact she's hardly shocked by his return.

That's probably because Dylan's been behaving so oddly recently with her mystery nights out that Katherine figured something else must be up besides her daughter being a typical teenage. Well that and the fact that Dylan's been harping on about finding her father since the start of the season.

I actually do like the fact that Dylan did confess that she was seeing her father to Katherine. Even though Katherine had already spied on her, it's good that Dylan did tell her about Wayne. Even better however was her bringing her father home to meet Katherine face to face.

The little meeting doesn't last very long though. Katherine manages to get Dylan to stay upstairs while attempting to goad Wayne to see if he really has changed. The fact that Gary Cole ups the creepy factor strongly suggests that Wayne could beat Katherine as easily as he's done in the past. It's also interesting that the scene ends with Katherine having a gun in the drawer. A taser would be more logical, dear. You could carry it around at all times and it's legal.

As legal matters go, I'm surprised this show hasn't gotten sued with the amount of offensive **** that Gabby has pulled since Carlos became blind. We've seen her play cruel mind games, exploit his blindness and last week she tried to get rid of his guide dog. By the way Roxy's still here and while I hope that she ends up giving Gabby rabies, she doesn't do anything here.

The offensive thing Gabby comes out with this week is calling Carlos useless when she can't find a nail file. Fortunately Carlos does get his own back by later calling her a tramp. Well it might be an insult but at least Carlos' one is based in truth. Plus its high time Carlos insulted Gabby. Hell even Gabby realises she deserved that comment.

Well the tramp thing did originate from Gabby thinking that her and Carlos' new lodger Ellie is a prostitute. It's an easy assumption to make seeing as Ellie's bedroom is vacated by a good few men but alas, she's not the new Maisy Gibbons. That doesn't mean that Gabby doesn't come up with a stupid plan to find out for herself.

Using Bob and Lee, Gabby soon learns that Ellie is a tattoo artist and not a hooker. Lee on the other hand manages to dress bad and get the crap beaten out of him. Much as I like him and Bob, I'm sure as hell glad that we have Brothers And Sisters for the good gay stuff on a weekly basis. As for Ellie, she's actually a drug dealer. With Roxy in the house it shouldn't take Gabby and Carlos that long to figure it out.

Susan meanwhile is reduced to slightly less dramatic stuff compared to last week. Facing her first antenatal class alone, the writers figured it would be a good time to reintroduce Karl and his pregnant wife Marissa in order to make Susan feel like crap about her own life.

Karl's taste in women clearly has improved because not only does Marissa seem like a nice enough woman with brains to burn but she also takes no pleasure in seeing Karl goad Susan and even congratulates Mike for his rehab stint. Karl on the other hand seems a little too happy when he realised that Mike was in rehab again.

However even though Karl can be an incredible ass, Richard Burgi is still a riot with playing and there's a wonderful scene later in the episode where Karl actually praises Mike for being honest with Susan. Now naturally this happened during a time when Mike wasn't around to hear such platitudes but at least Karl acknowledged that as a husband he well and truly failed Susan.

    Also in "Opening Doors"

The opening scene had Orson and Bree dividing up their assets while Bree made some remark about Orson's aunt.

Orson: "There's only one thing in this house that I want".

Bree: "Well I'm the one thing that you can't have".

I know she's 13 but isn't Kayla getting past the stage now for dollies? Plus the way she was brushing that doll was really disturbing.

Carlos: "I brushed up against him. I felt his bicep, it was huge".

Gabrielle: "That wasn't his bicep. Why do you think he left?"

Karl: "Susie Q. What a small world! Look how fat you are?"

    Susan: "Hi Karl".

I'd loved to have seen that brushing up scene. It's also great that even when blind, Carlos can still tell when Gabrielle is disrespecting him.

Carlos: "Okay so we have two tramps living in our house".

Gabrielle: "That was for the useless comment, wasn't it?"

Carlos: "Mmm-hmm and it felt good".

Kayla (to Lynette): "That's why I think it's good you're punishing the twins. They're really bad kids. They deserve to learn".

Lynette's hair is really orangey during the scenes where she's not wearing a wig. I noticed that in the last episode also.

Lee (to Bob): "Please! The only way you'd be convincing as a straight guy is if you died and came back as a straight guy".

Mike: "When I said, his wife congratulated me. Did you notice that?"

Susan: "And Karl did his monkey dance. Did you notice that?"

Karl admitted to sleeping with one of Susan's cousins. So far the only one we've met is Tim but it definitely wouldn't have been him.

    Lee: "I'm sorry".

Ellie: "You're a pig and I'm gonna kick your ass".

Karl: "I lied about every bit of it. At least Mike's trying to be honest".

Susan: "I know. I wish I could fast forward through it to see that everything's okay".

Andrew was a no show in this episode and I'm amazed that we've gone such a length of episodes without seeing Danielle either.

Orson: "I feel like I'm imposing".

Edie: "You are but you make a hell of Martini".

Wayne: "Are you trying to make me mad Kathy?"

    Katherine: "I didn't know I still could. Can I?"

Chronology: A few days since "Hello Little Girl".

Far better than last week and even better on repeat viewing, "Opening Doors" boasts enough solid plots and great moments to really stand out. I'm not really sure if Ellie is going to be anywhere near crucial but at least Wayne's appearance has seen the Katherine plot really get interesting.
  • Yay, Karl's back!!!!!

    "Superb"
Yay Karl's back! It was so good to see him! Him and Teri Hatcher have such great chemistry! They are hillarious! I was really hoping that Susan would have her baby, but I guess they are giving Mike a little pregnancy time with her since he was in rehab and all. They had a few good scenes here with the rehab stuff. Susan needs to get over that crap and be proud of Mike. Come on! And Karl is dead on about how he is gonna be much better for her than Karl himself ever was..... Oh, I can't wait to see the baby!

I knew Kayla had something to do with the fire. I can't believe she is still that mean to Lynette. I really thought she had surpassed this. I knew she meant trouble the minute she walked out of that door with the umbrella on her hands. lol.... the poor boys.

Edie is still Edie. That was hillarious how she was coming on to Orson. She does not wanna go to the mattress with Bree though. There's gonna some war.

I was glad to see the gay couple back and this time they were actually funny. I really liked that part with Gaby wanting to find out about Ellie. What was in her drawer? I didn't really see very clear what was in it?? Does anyone know??? She's a little suspicious though.....

This is the first season where we have absolutely no idea what is going on with the mystery. By this time in other season we would know pretty much everything except for a little twist they'd give us in the finale. I am so lost in this mystery. It's driving me crazy!
  • Susan started lamaze. Bree suspects Orson and Edie are involved. Lynette learns who inspired the fire. Gabby and Carlos get a tennent, with questionable income. Katherine learns who Dylan has been sneaking off with and is furious.

    9.9
    "Superb"
So this was an interesting episode, it was both funny and dramatic.

Hats off to Dana Delaney, the closing scene with her and Gary Cole was very powerful, and all she really did was stand there and come so close to losing it, I smell an Emmy nod. I figured she would soon learn about Dylan and her dad, but it still leads to me to wonder, who did she bury in the woods? And what is with the gash in the wood floor?

The funny came from Gabby and Susan. I love to watch Susan and her ex argue and try to one up each other. Now Gabby hiring Lee to solicit her tennent to prove she is a prostitute was hilarious, and his portrayal was great. The tatto story was too weird to work, while I know a lot of artists get screwed by their bosses, a bedroom would be a weird place to conduct that business.

I knew Kayla had something to do with the fire, the twins are not clever enough to pull of a stunt like that, I wonder what they are going to do with her, she annoys me.

Bree and Orson were up to their odd antics, I was not too happy adding Edie into the mix, it just seemed strange.

All in all, a very good episode, it was well delivered and funny.
  • Gabrielle rents a room to someone she thinks is a prostitute. Lynette finds out her step-daughter was involved with the fire.

    "Good"
This was not the strongest episode of Desperate Housewives ever. Bree is in a transistion phase, and the humor just isn't coming through the way it did when she played off the other characters with her conservative, traditional mannerisms. Susan is also growing to become very irritating in the post-strike episodes. Her character is genuine, and similar to pregnant women in real life, but it's just not something that appeals to a 19 year old male viewer. This episode failed to produce a strong central storyline, for which all the others built off of. An okay episode, but not as good as Desperate Housewives usually produces.
  • Secrets keep coming up!!

    "Great"
Another great episode of this great tv show. In the Scavos more dirt comes up, as the little girl reveals her dark character. She's been playing them all quite well and Lynette can't fight alone, as long as Tom doesn't see it too. On the house of Gabrielle things are getting a lot more interesting, due to this new "guest" selling drugs. It should be an interesting angle towards the end of the season. Finally they showed up the gays again, since they are quite amusing.

Mike gave and important lesson to Susan and showed her that appearances are not as relevant as she was thinking. Again Eddie strikes on an ex husband... She never stops....

She's looking older though. This keeps promising!
  • Bree gives Orson an ultimatum.

    "Perfect"
Let me just start out by saying that I absolutely loved this episode. Desperate Housewives has definitely been on a roll ever since the show returned from the writers strike. Once again, I absolutely loved all of the housewives' story lines. Out of all of the story lines in this episode, Gabrielle's, Bree's and and Katherine's story lines were my favorite. Lynette's story line was great too, and Kayla really scared me in this episode. I also loved Edie's involvement with the situation between Bree and Orson. I absolutely loved, loved, loved Bob and Lee in this episode. They were so funny in all of their scenes, and I really wish that the writers would use them more. All things considered, I thought that this was a very well written, well acted and well made episode by everyone involved, and I can't wait for the next episode.
  • This season is definitely on fire and Katherine's storyline takes the spotlight once again and thankfully, Gabrielle & Carlos' storylines are getting better!!

    "Perfect"
Wow, each episode is better than the one before!! This is really awesome and the tension is building up for the finale and I really hope it's going to be one heck of a finale to let this season go with a BANG!

So Susan meets Karl and his new wife in one of her classes, it's a funny and lighthearted storyline that ends with a nice scene between Karl & Susan in the end showing that Karl stills cares for Susan despite being so annoying and mean to her

Gabrielle's storyline is much better than the previous episode's, this time a girl called Alley rents a room in their house since they need some money and at first they mistaken her for a hooker and so she hires Bob & Lee to get solid evidence against her (HILARIOUS) but then Alley tells her that she makes tattoos but it turns out that she lied, she has a secret of her own!

Lynette discovers that Kayla was the one who told the twins to set Rick's place on fire and this only gets Lynette and Tom in troubles as Kayle shows a really twisted side of her personality, she blackmails Lynette too. Also later she causes one of the twins to fall off the roof and it really seems that this storyline is only getting interesting.

Bree refuses to forgive Orson unless he turns himself in and despite his efforts, she still turns him down. Eventually Edie lets him stay in her house and this really upsets Bree who overhears them kissing later on and misunderstands the situation as Orson told Edie that it wasn't a good idea.

Katherine, well she's definitely one of my favorite characters on the street! She follows her to daughter to see the boy she's dating only to discover that she's secretly seeing her father which leaves her eye-teared (great scene) and then Dylan comes clean and Katherine allows her ex-husband Wayne come into the house. Now this is probably the best scene in the entire episode as Katherine and Wayne argue in such a wonderful scene which really makes the mystery far more interesting, I really wonder what kind of history the pair share!

Overall, it's a great episode that really makes me excited for future storylines and things are really picking up as there's only one normal episode and a two-hour finale left so there's plenty to wrap up which is only good!

I agree with others about Katherine. She has been one great addition the DH cast. Her confrontation with her ex was truly tension filled. Was she going to make him angry? How was he going to respond? I thought Katherine was getting ready to stab him, little did I know what she had prepared.

Is Kayla evil or what? It played out like a scene from a horror movie. Especially as Lynette and Tom are taking their son to see a doctor. The evil little grin, the blank stare, creepy to say the least.

The scene with Karl and Susan was quite funny. Karl was being Karl and it was drying Susan nuts. It was nice to see him say something nice about Mike in the end.

Bree is trying to make Orson suffer a little bit for what he has done. However, Edie doesn't like to be told what to do so she tries to make a move on Orson. We will just have to wait and see on how this plays out.

Gaby and Carlos renting a room to the "artist" was pretty good. How long will this last before something bad happens?

A great Sunday night on Wistoria Lane!!
  • Gabby and Carlos rent a room to an "artist" who has a secret of her own; Orson tries to make amends with Bree; Lynette tries to get Kayla into therapy; Katherine finally meets her ex-husband for the first time in 12 years.

When all is said and done, I think this season is going to be remembered as one of the series' best. The writers really took their time in exploring each story this year. One of the problems I've had in the past is that some stories have wrapped up far too quickly. However, with this season, the creators have crafted the central mystery in a way that, when one part of the story is resolved, another door opens, making us realize that there's more to what we've been shown.

I say all that to get to the point--Katherine. I think we can all agree that she is one of the best supporting characters the DH writers have come up with yet. We've all been expecting this reunion between she and her ex-husband, Dylan's father, and what a never-wracking moment it was.

I also liked that we got to see Kayla again. What a terrific little actress that girl is (Some of you may remember her from the series finale of ALIAS as a young Sydney Bristow). She's obviously got a lot of darkness inside; I wonder how far the writers are going to take this?

The scene with Karl and Susan was quite funny, but I was a bit concerned at how much of a jerk Karl was at first. Still, it was cute watching Susan devour that sandwich thingy. Then, of course, in typical DH fashion, we see later that he really does care for Susan. I wanna hate him, but..well, I can't.

So Bree tells Katherine she may let Orson back eventually. I hope so. But with Edie in the way, who knows what could happen.

I also enjoyed the story with the "artist" renting a room in Gabby and Carlos' house. This could end badly, methinks.

All in all--Desperate Housewives in top form.

    "Superb"
Ah, it's always fun when Karl shows up. I get the feeling his marriage was a storyline pushed back by the strike but it was nice to see Susan and also Mike trying to show him up. But again, we get the great thing about the character: Even when he's a jerk, he's caring and does understand Susan as when he tries to help her buck up at a meeting. It is like him to point out that at least Mike is being honest about his problems, which Karl wasn't and once again, you can't quite hate him.

About time they talk about the darkness inside Kayla and I hope Tom isn't blinded too long to her problems and how she's turning into a boderline sociopath. It's great to see Justine Bateman back on TV and surprised the gay couple returned like this but makes sense Gabby would use them this way. That it's not prostition but drug selling just makes it better. The Orson/Bree/Edie stuff was fun as I liked Bree calling Edie on her ways with other women's husbands and Edie firing back she does have standards. THat Bree misunderstood was inevitable but promises nice fun. Of course the big one was Katherine and her ex, a wonderfully done scene of her chilled toward him, leaving you wondering if it was paranoia or if she truly was right in fearing him. So plenty of drama and heightened tension to come but that's what makes this show so fun.
