Episode Summary

Before she took her own life, Mary Alice Young had planned to host a dinner party for her friends, and the woman realize the date of the event is soon approaching, so they decide to throw it anyway in honor of her deceased neighbor. ''Susan wants to invite Mike, but he catches her being rude towards her ex-husband (guest star Richard Burgi as Karl Mayer) and his girlfriend Brandi (guest star Anne Dudek), which leads her to realize she needs to get over her rage, and in order to do so Karl must give her the apology he owes her. In the meantime, Bree doesn't want people to know she and Rex are seeing Dr. Goldfine (guest star Sam Lloyd), in order to keep up a nice faade, and Gabrielle finds herself being blackmailed by an unexpected person when she is caught having her affair with the gardener. Lynette wants to attend the dinner party, but her husband (Doug Savant) seems less than willing to go, attributing this to a tiring work week, and Zach soon begins to lose his marbles with his father when he can't get Paul to talk about his mother or acknowledge her demise.moreless

I really loved the writting in this episode! It was great, some sentences were really original... When Tom says "till they find Nemo" was really special! :D The dialogues were amazing.

So, the camera did a really great job too! THe way the episode was filmes really did a lot for the whole funny moments.

Lynette storyline was great, they transmit a lot! They are the best couple in the show. Xd When Lynette said some sentences you are laughing so much. I love the "Son of a - it was... " Xd Hilarious. When she said "Are we happy?" it was such a touching moment.

Susan storyline was original aswell and Teri acting when she was nude was great! It was one of the best moments in the show. The scenes with Mike were really credible! They did it great.

Gabi story was a little less interesting but it had really funny times aswell. The scene when Carlos scared Gabi talking about Bree was really exciting.

Bree was great here too! Her personality "all perfect" is really anoying and that is why she is really an interesting character.

So, this episode is really funny, perfect written and had some really touching moments so I think we can put a ten in here.moreless

    • The actress who plays Brandi, Anne Dudek, also played a character named Denise on Charmed. Denise gets Piper's blasting power by mistake and says she wants to get back at her ex-husband who "ran off with his secretary", quite similar to Susan's character. Edit
    • Goof: When Lynette gets home, Tom is there waiting for her with a drink. When she is getting the drink you can see that in one shot his arm is hidden with the sweater, but the other shot you can see that her hand is not hidden. Edit
    • When Bree steals Mary Alice's tape she takes it with her right hand and grabs it to her waist while she raises her left hand to her hair, in the very next shot when doctor Goldfine enters the room you can see the right hand is up, and when the camera comes on her the next shot the left hand is up again.
