  • Episode that dragged me into addiction.

I'll be honest, I never really took any interest in desperate housewives (Gasp) until this episode. I decided to watch this episode when it aired to see why everyone fussed about the show and it dragged me in the moment I watched it. After watching this episode I decided to watch the first season then the 2nd so on so fourth and now I'm hooked thanks to this episode. Most memorable episode ever made, 10/10 FANTASTIC.

The best episode of Desperate Housewives to date. The opening scene is very well done and creepy in its own way and definitely will catch you attention. I have seen every episode of the whole series so far (8 and half seasons) and I admit that this episode is the most shoking episode and the most heart pounding too. It had a great amount of suspense. The cast and the guest starts gave their best performances. The best part of this episode were the performances of Lynette and Mrs. McCluskey. Their firey exchanges about the tornado are just terrific. The ending scene was truly frightening when you see the damage caused by the tornado. I felt Lynette's fear in the end. Flawless.

this was a fantastic episode of desperate housewives it was so exciting and dramtic the shows writers executed the whole tornado thing realy well and made it so exciting, i loved the scene with karen and lynette this two are characters and have great chemistry susan had a dramatic week with mikes drug problem when she fell down the stairs i thought she may have lost the baby im so glad she didnt because the show has already done that once with gaby in season 2

bree and katherine had some great scenes together i felt really sorry for katherine when she disocovers that adam had an affair

overall a realy great episode on of the best in housewives history

In a word: awesome. This was the best episode of Desperate Housewives to date (possibly in series history) and is what truly put me over the fence to being a full-fledged fan of the show. I was just starting to get into the show that year, but this made it one of my top shows.

Everything about it was perfect. The suspense of the hurricane, the humor between the people of Wisteria Lane, the fighting, and of course the ending that left you wondering whether Lynette's family would survive.

This was a boiling point for so many storylines and just an absolute classic from start to finish.
  • A tornado hits Wisteria Lane, and while people's lives are on the balance, lots of secrets come out.

In "Something's Coming", a tornado hits Wisteria Lane, and its residente have to wait it out. While Julie is on a field trip, Mike learns that Susan discovered his pills and left a note in the bottle. The two argue over Mike's addiction, and in the midst of the discussion Susan trips and falls down the stairs with a bunch of laundry. At the hospital, there are a lot of patients and Susan has to wait because she doesn't have anything serious. But Mike is concerned about the baby and punches a doctor when he gets mad at him. So Mike's handcuffed to a chair, and Susan learns that the baby is fine, and then tells her husband that if he doesn't go to rehab, she will leave him. -- I liked this story, it's a shame though that Susan didn't get to be involved more in the tornado storyline, for she spent almost the entire episode in the hospital. It's good that the whole addiction storyline ended in this episode, with repercussions for the next, obviously, for it was getting tiring. Honestly, I think Susan had her most boring year in season four, she deserved juicier storylines.

While Dylan is also on the same field trip Julie's in, Katherine discovers that Sylvia Greene (guest star Melora Walters) is in Wisteria Lane, and she's going after Adam (guest star Nathan Fillion)...again. Katherine gets mad at Adam for not telling her Sylvia was back. Sylvia locks herself in Bree's bathroom after Bree invites her in to know what's going on. Katherine and Adam wind up at Bree's home trying to help her, and when the three of them and Orson have to wait the tornado out in the closet, we learn that Adam did in fact sleep with Sylvia. -- I liked this storyline a lot, since we finally learn why Katherine moved back to Wisteria Lane (by this time we still don't know why she moved away twelve years ago), and it looks like trouble for Adam and Katherine's relationship, and Bree and Katherine start to bond during the storm. Also, the Sylvia storyline was funny.

Gabrielle and Carlos are moving. Al (guest star James Luca McBride) gives the money to Edie, thinking she's Gaby, and the two women fight and actually end up hiding in Edie's crawl space at her house. Carlos is attacked by a revengeful Victor (guest star John Slattery), who is killed in the storm. -- Hilarious, the battle between Gaby and Edie, and shocking and eye-catching the fight between Carlos and Victor, that ends in disaster for both. The end of a chapter in their lives, with Gaby apologizing to Edie and Victor dying. Lynette wants to wait the tornado out in Mrs. McCluskey's (guest star Kathryn Joosten) basement, and she's already invited Ida Greenberg (guest star Pat Crawford Brown). But Ida brought her cat, and Tom is highly alergic to cat fur. So Lynette tries to get rid of the cat, but Mrs. McCluskey catches her. The cat runs outside, and the two get out of the house to search for it. They are forced to examin their relationship, and to hide in Lynette's house. When they get out, they see that Karen's house has been completely distroyed by the tornado, with the Scavo family and Mrs. Greenberg inside. -- This storyline, wow: it's true that if often seemed like Lynette always used Karen, but I never had any doubt that Lynette genuinely cared for Mrs. McCluskey. When the two get out of Lynette's house and the other house has been distroyed with the Scavos inside, and Lynette screams, damn, it just made me feel so bad, I got sick with thinking that Tom, Ida and those adorable little kids were all dead. Now I know what happened, and it still hurts a bit.

Overall, it was a wonderful episode. Lots of juicy stuff going on, it's definitely a life-changing chapter, and it'll be hard to top it. Still, my favorite episodes remain the hostage situation one, and the second season finale, but this one comes pretty close. Way to go, DH! You still have it! :)
  • This episode proves how amazing Desperate Housewives is!

Amazing! When the episode first started I was thinking what is so amazing about this episode but as it went on I knew. There were so many of those talks that I've always puctured, Edie and Gabby, so Edie forgave Gabby and they'll be friends again. Carlos and Victor, my god, Victor was impaled by a piece of a fence and Carlos hit over the head. I'd imagine Victor is dead but what about Carlos? Bree and Haterine finally signs of a friendship are shown but at a price, what will happen to Katetherines marriage now? Susan and Mike, will Mike go by his word and go to rehab, sadly I doubt it. And finally Lynette, the ending was the last thing I expected. It can't be true, they must be hiding somewhere, thats what I kept thinking. But how could that even happen I don't know. When she left with Mrs McCuskey and ran somehwere just before the tornado hit it didn't even hit me that Tom and the kids could be in danger. I cannot wait until the next episode, really I can't!
  • My Review of Desperate Housewives' episode 'Something's Coming'

    9.5
    "Superb"
The show has a perfect balance between comedy and drama, but I prefer the drama side of Desperate Housewives, and this episode shows exactly why. The storm was a great idea of the writers, making it almost a living character, blowing through the storylines, pushing the story and the acting to a whole new level, and giving it the extra touch that makes this my favourite episode of season four. It was supposed to be a beautiful day, Garbrielle and Carlos were leaving Wisteria Lane to avoid Victor, but a storm was coming and changed everything. Carlos and Victor end up lying on the floor, and one of the last scenes show Lynette running to the house where her husband and children are trapped. It literally made tears come to my eyes. It was heartbreaking! This was the last episode before the strike, so americans had to wait months to see who survived. I'm glad that here in Belgium, the next episode will air next week. I can't wait to how it will turn out.

P.S. This is my first review on TV.com, and english isn't my first language, so I apologize for possible mistakes.

December 2, 2007. The day that made history for DH fans. This is the second year in a row that Susan escaped danger in November Sweeps (she left the supermarket in season 3). A tornado comes to Wisteria Lane, forcing residents into basements, cellars and safe rooms, and destroying homes and lives. Meanwhile, Susan ends up at the hospital after falling down the stairs. This episode was so perfect, especially with Gabby and Edie. I felt really bad for Toby, since I'm an animal lover, but thankfully, he survived. I loved when Sylvia was sucked into the tornado. LMAO! Drama between Katherine and Adam over a tattoo and the fact that he actually did sleep with Sylvia. The ending was perfect, with the Scavo kids trapped under Mrs. McKlusky's house.

A tornado is forming, but some allies are breaking apart. Susan is pushed down the stairs by Mike, and confronts his addiction problem. Lynette and Ms. McCluskey's relation intensifies when she seems to be asking for too much on her behalf. Bree gets involved in Katherine's personal life and talks with a woman harrassing the Mayfairs. Gabrielle and Edie fight over Carlos' millions of dollars kept in a bank account in the Cayman Islands, and are caught together during the tornado. Carlos and Victor put on a fight at the worst time; when the tornado strikes Wisteria Lane, and someone won't get out of it.

Something's Coming was a wonderful episode, but I thought that the whole tornado thing was kind of out of the blue. But it turned out to be pretty interesting. The storm brought Edie and Gabby together which was comical. It was also revealed that Katherine's husband had cheated on her with Sylvia. And poor Lynette has to suffer even more then she already has when she finds out that the house her husband and kids are in has collapsed. She has already been shot, gained custody of her crazy step daughter, and has battled cancer. What more could they throw at her?
  • Gone With The Wind

    "Superb"
One of the finest episodes in Desperate Housewives history, and definitely the best episode of season 4, Something's Coming contains a little or a lot of everything: Suspense, drama, comedy, and even, arguably, horror.

A tornado comes to Wisteria Lane, bringing with it absolute chaos, destroying lives, houses and beliefs. The flaws of this episode are few and can only be found upon pedantic scrutinizing. Every single cast member works wonders in this amazing tour-de-force, using the element of suspense so well that it may never have been done better on this show.

Best performances are those of Dana Delany - in particular the heartbreaking realization scene in the closet - Marcia Cross (of course) and Felicity Huffman. Eva Longoria and Nicollette Sheridan are hilarious in their fights over the valuable papers that have been dropped off. Even Susan's plotline is well done, though slightly boring. Teri Hatcher does well with her ultimatum to James Denton. Emotionally powerful and full of suspense, drama and comedy, Something's Coming is a series classic and a season's best.

This episode was definitely the best episode in "Desperate Housewives" history. The tornado storyline was brilliant! Plus, Mary Alice's narrations were great, but gave away one of the deaths. I liked Gabrielle's storyline a lot. I hate that Lynette was so mean to Ida's cat, but there was not much to do with Tom's throat closing from an allergic reaction. I hated that Susan was in the hospital for the whole storm, but I guess Marc Cherry wanted to make sure she wasn't in danger of losing the baby. Bree and Katherine developing a friendship was great, and I liked Sylvia's character. When she was pulled out of the house by the tornado, I couldn't stop laughing. Also, Victor's death was tragic, but he deserved it. Carlos is knocked unconscious, and Mrs. McClusky's house collapses, with Tom, the kids, and Ida in the basement, creating a dramatic cliffhanger.
  • Tornadoes always sets the scene for terrific episodes - and like this one, it was spine-chillingly good!!

Seriously I had chills down my spine when Mary Alice said one of the housewives' husband will die! My heart skipped a beat as the episode had just started. Although the ending was absolutely heartbreaking - as if Lynette hasnt been through enough, this episode actually had a lot of comedic moments like Sylvia, that annoying rat said: HERE I GO!! And then got sucked up in the tornado. Now I know she died but that was freakin' hilarious and she deserved it. Victor's death was more gruesome but again bad things happen to bad people (not always). The special effects were brilliant, Edie and Gaby were great, Lynette and Karen were great, Susan and Orson were great. This episode was just the best...Next week's definetly looks set to be amazing...
  • Tornado Written by John Pardee And Joey Murphy Directed by David Grossman

    10
    "Perfect"
    Gabrielle: "Give me my money".

Edie: "Your money? Carlos embezzled it".

Gabrielle: "Oh, you're moral all of a sudden".

When it comes to morals, neither Gabrielle or Edie are people who can distinguish between good and bad ones if their lives depended on it. This particularly comes into play in this episode after the antics that both of them have been up to so far this season.

As an introduction also goes, there's no big mystery here. Mary Alice wastes little time in informing viewers that Wisteria Lane is about to be hit by a tornado and also that two people are about to die. However it's what happens along with the housewives that also keeps the episode going.

The first big plot here is the winding down of TV's least compelling quadrangle ever dreamt up. Knowing that Victor plans to get even with the pair of them, Gabby and Carlos come to the deduction that perhaps leaving town would be the best thing to do. Of course this is more for their safety than anything else.

Before she leaves, Gabby also informs her friends that her and Carlos are back together. It's actually amazing to see some shock among the ladies, as well as indignation for the farce wedding she had with Victor. Of course Gabby is dismissive of this and even more dismissive when someone dares mentions how Edie must be feeling about this.

In fairness, Edie really should have plenty of practice by now. Neither Karl or Mike loved her and to prove that third time can also be unlucky, Carlos also proved he didn't love. To give Carlos some credit, he never made a big effort to pretend he had deep feelings for Edie but his treatment of her does make him come across like a heartless jerk no less either.

At least Gabby and Carlos however can salivate in the fact that despite their atrocious set of selfish actions, they've still managed to get back together. It also helps that Carlos has a nice illegal account to fund him and Gabby as well. Unfortunately for them, that's pretty much where their luck begins and ends. If Karma really does exist, then it's picked the perfect time to pay Gabby and Carlos a visit. There's nothing like a scorned ex-lover but two of them in the midst of a tornado is definitely bad timing.

Carlos gets to deal with Victor who releases himself from the hospital and decides to make a house call. Given that Victor wasn't shy in pointing out what he would do to anyone that slept with Gabrielle, Carlos should've been heading for the door instead of coming up with the lamest of apologies.

Naturally Victor makes a half-decent attempt to try and shoot Carlos and while the two of them enjoy a scuffle, the first big death of the episode also occurs. Of all the ways Victor could've been killed, you have to admit that there is something quite ironic about him getting impaled with a white picket fence.

If Carlos got to feel Victor's wrath, then Gabrielle certainly got to realise that Edie is every bit as spiteful as she is. We've already seen the levels of spite that Edie has descended into what with burning Susan's house, preying on Mike's amnesia and faking a suicide, so there's nothing she can do to shock after those events.

In fact you could almost argue that stealing Carlos' documents for his Caiman islands account is tame, even for Edie. I know Al mistook her for Gabrielle when he handed over the documents but Edie sure did love rubbing that wound into her rival's face.

The problem is that one thing Gabby loves more than anything is money and it doesn't mean anything if legally the money isn't hers, she'll still fight for it. In fact her and Edie engage in quite the scrap for the document. It's just too bad that neither woman ends up with the cash when the tornado blows it all away.

However unlike Victor and Carlos (where one died and the other is seriously injured), Edie and Gabby are forced to put their differences aside in order to hideout from the tornado. Well, it's not either of them actually have a choice in the matter.

There's a fantastic moment then when Edie assures Gabby that not only will both of them survive but that Edie plans to continue hating Gabby as well. Edie certainly does know how to harbour a grudge even though she does admit to knowing that Carlos still loved Gabby. Which begs the question – why did she bother going after Carlos in the first place if she knew that?

Speaking of grudges, Bree certainly seems to have one on Katherine and when the other red head is particularly rude to her, Bree decides to get some dirt on her by talking to crazy Sylvia. Sylvia like many a loon on this show just won't go away fast enough.

Last week she pestered Adam and this week she tries goading Katherine about the affair that they had in Chicago. Katherine might not believe her in so many words but obviously Sylvia got under her skin enough for Katherine to waste saliva on her face. It's also the reason why Bree thought it was a good idea to get to know Sylvia.

Because Bree's interest in Sylvia was purely motivated by selfishness, it only seemed fair that it would blow up in her face. Bree makes the error in doubting Sylvia's credibility when she muses that Katherine and Adam seem content as a couple and Sylvia responds by locking herself in the same place where Bree, Orson and Benjamin had planned to ride out the tornado.

When the silly woman doesn't respond to reason, Bree then has to do the less honourable thing and enlist Katherine and Adam in getting rid of Sylvia. Personally I would've kicked the door down or stunk her out of there but as approaches go, it does prove to be essential in deducing whether or not Sylvia is lying about Adam.

The not so surprising thing is that she's not. Given that Bree and Katherine are so similar and that Adam could be of a similar character to Rex, it's not implausible that he would've chosen to stray. Sadly not only was his choice of bedfellow enough to make him lose his job but he slept with someone even more irritating in two episodes than Katherine could hope to be in a whole season.

With this now becoming knowledge, Katherine has the look of a woman who wants nothing more to do with Adam. It's also got to be rather humiliating that her dirty linen is aired in front of a woman who Katherine has gone out of her way to annoy since her return to Wisteria Lane. That being said Bree didn't exactly look like she took any pleasure in it.

As for Sylvia, when she does finally decide to unlock herself, everyone else is gone and she winds up being swept away by the tornado. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that she is not the second major death of the episode. I know she's integral to Katherine/Adam but not necessarily to the series and certainly not the mystery by all accounts either.

Lynette meanwhile also has problems with the tornado. Given how large her family is, it doesn't seem feasible for them to stay at the house so bunking with Karen in her basement is the best Plan B they could have. Karen on the other hand isn't that keen on pushing out the welcome mat.

Lynette does attempt to play the friend card in order to swing an invite but Karen is actually quick to retaliate by pointing out that Lynette only takes an interest in her when she needs something. Although this is a more bitter Karen than I'm used to, there's no doubt that there is a degree of truth in what she is saying.

Also as soon as Lynette and company do camp out, her and Karen are at each other throats over Tom's allergic reaction to Ida's cat. Lynette then dumps the cat outside and her and Karen wind up back at the Scavo residence in their search for the bloody kitty. Worse still is the final scene where Karen's house is totally destroyed and you're left wondering whether or not Tom, the kids or Ida are dead or alive. Nice way to end this particular episode, with a hint of actual devastation.

Last but not least, Susan is only housewife where the tornado plays no role in her plot. Nope instead Mike really begins to lose his control and ends up knocking Susan down the stairs after she tries to make him go cold turkey. It might have been better had she attempted that with someone rather than going it alone.

On the plus side, at least her fall doesn't result in a miscarriage and at the hospital, there's a breakthrough in Mike's addiction. By that I mean he ends up beating on medical staff, gets handcuffed to a chair and then has Susan twist his arm into going into rehab.

There's some really good scenes between both Teri Hatcher and James Denton but you can't but feel that this plot is a tad rushed. Not that I wanted to see Mike as an addict for the remainder of the season but at the same time, there's almost something a bit too easily fixed with this. Still at least the writers are giving the couple some dramatic plots and I can't complain about that.

    Also in "Something's Coming"

Given that the start of this episode told us that a husband and friend would die, can it be assumed the latter choice is someone like Ida?

Bree: "Oh my God. This is going to kill Edie".

Gabrielle: "You'd think so but the vindictive hag told Victor everything".

Karen talking about Ida being a genuine friend made me realise that in the last two seasons, they've actually shared many scenes with other.

Lynette: "You want my kids over with a bunch of winos?"

Karen: "Ida's off the wagon. It's not much better over here".

Bree: "Katherine are you alright? I couldn't help noticing".

Katherine: "Of course you couldn't and everything's fine".

I might have mentioned it my previous review, I still maintain that Sylvia looks a lot like Tina Fey. Except Tina's not scary or annoying.

Bree (re Katherine/Adam): "They seem content".

    Sylvia: "Well they're not".

    Bree: "It was an observation".

Sylvia: "Well it was a stupid one".

Orson (re Mike): "I thought I was helping".

Susan: "By giving pills to a drug addict? Is that helpful to you?"

In light of the whole tornado business, why didn't anyone think to actually leave Fairview for the day or at least make an attempt?

Sylvia: "I'm not coming out if she's here".

Katherine: "I'm not leaving you with my husband".

    Susan: "How are you doing?"

Mike: "I've had better days. I'm so sorry".

Adam had a tattoo in Chicago, which is how Katherine began to figure out that Sylvia wasn't lying.

Al: "You're just as pretty as Carlos said you were".

    Edie: "Oh no, I'm prettier".

Gabrielle: "Edie you thief, open this door now".

Edie: "I've called the police. They're on their way. They'll taser your ass".

For two women who hate each other so intensely, Gabrielle and Edie were certainly hugging each other a little too tightly at one point.

Gabrielle: "You just threw my money in a tornado. I'm not getting in there with you".

Edie: "Fine. Then stay out here and die".

    Gabrielle: "Move your ass".

    Gabrielle: "You really hate me?"

Edie: "Yes. No. It's just that I really let myself fall for him".

No Andrew, Danielle, Julie or Dylan in this episode. Then again there was also no Bob and Lee and it's been a while since they've factored into things.

Orson: "I think it's possible that Benjamin might need changing".

Katherine: "I think that went beyond hypothetical ten minutes ago".

Adam: "I'm sorry but you have to understand".

    Katherine: "No I do not".

    Adam: "I'm sorry".

    Katherine: "Not here, not now".

Chronology: A few days after "A Distant Past".

Well every season needs a big massive event episode and "Something's Coming" is successful in becoming this season's "Bang" in that regard. A shocking episode, with a brilliant final moment and just packed with terrific characterisation throughout goes to show how well this season is doing.

Let me just start out by saying that I absolutely loved this episode. I thought that it was very well written and very well acted by everyone involved. While I loved everything about this episode, I enjoyed all of the Bree and Katherine stuff the most. I especially enjoyed the scene where Bree is trying to get information on Katherine from Adam's stalker, Sylvia. I thought that the stuff about Lynette and Mrs. McCluskey's relationship was very touching. I loved all of the special effects for this episode. They were all very good. All in all, I absolutely loved this episode, and I would definitely have to say that this is one of my favorite episodes from season four.
  • The most adventerous episode yet.

    "Superb"
This episode was a great plesure to watch: Desperate Housewives has learned to speed up the pace with plot development. Whilst it may have been influenced by the writers stike, the fact that this episode had so many pivotal moments, as well as doing the most adventerous plot yet; pull off with great effects, made this episode without a doubt one of the top 5, if not the best!

Whilst the killings off helped give this show great shock value, ultimatly there was a feeling that again the writers strike speeded up the wrap up of thier involvement. This is not particularly important, in fact I probably just trying to find something wrong for the sake of not sounding too bias! The fact I absolutely loved this episode.
  • I loved this episode! Two weeks to wait for the next one now!!

Oh My God, can anything else happen in one episode?

    1. Gabby and Carlos are set to leave and Gabby tells her friends that she will be back! But after it all "blows over"... Pun intended?

    2. That woman and Adam, wow I thought she was telling the truth but I also thought she was a nut job... and to have it come out in the middle of a tornado too! Great timing Bree!!

    3. Gabby and Edie, well I hope they can get along now but I have always liked their little fueds, same with Susan and Edie!

    4. Susan and Mike, man I thought she would lose the baby! But I'm happy she didn't! And I'm also glad that Mike is going into rehab, but lets just see if he sticks to his word!

    5. Lynette and Tom and the kids, I hope they are all okay! I like the Scavos! All the noise and destruction wherever they go. And Tom is a sweetie!! 6. Carlos and Victor, about time too! I didn't like Victor from the start! At least now Gabby can be with Carlos, if he wakes up and if he's okay too! I was shocked with what happened to Victor though, what a good ending for the stuck up mayor!

I can't think of anything else! Two weeks to wait now!!
  • The worst episode ever...

    2.0
    "Terrible"
I am so let down by this episode. I expected to be like "bang" or something like that...

I have to say that the tornado idea was brilliant and so were the camera effects...still it wasn't enough,

The first 50 minutes very absolute boring and they showed how selfishly everybody behaved.

Mike's thing...I could not believe it, but he deserves bad thing to happen to him.

That crazy girl, I liked her, I knew she wasn't lying and all, but it was just stupid to lock herself on the bathroom while a tornado was out there! I liked Katherine, how she came clean to Bree, this was the first time I believed everything she said.

Victor's death was so stupid, and I said, "It's so obvious they're gonna kill him...they may kill Carlos because we all know Victor was te one chosen to be killed"... but it was Victor... I thought Carlos was gonna die, because the other option was really predictable.

The cat thing? I feel bad fot that poor cat...I hope they find it :) Lynette made such a scene (I know Tom's asma and all, but sneaking and taking away that cat...it was inmature)...

I didn't like all the drama between Edie and GAby... That "forgive and forget" thing was so fairy tale like... I loved they came clean, but yet, they're like oil and water!

Everything mentioned above, well, it was the entire episode.

But the last minutes were the best ever. It's good to see that something uncontrolable can change our lives, there are not a lot of series in where they show this kind of lessions...that life is unfair and all... When Lynette said "my children"... I died inside...(I haven't seen the following episodes yet), It's the worst thing that could ever happen to a mother, and...all children? I haven't seen "Welcome to Kanagawa" yet, so I don't know what to expect (but Lynette's family weren't staying at Karen's basement?)...

But if this was true, I have to say it was so cruel... I couldn't believe they wrote this...It had it's hooking part in where you want to see right away what's gonna come, but it is really cruel...

The only thing that was oustanding was...all what you can think after it... This shows how such disasters can change your life, without any preparation. This is exactly what happened in 26-12-04 with the Tsunami... I loved that this episode was the first one that makes you think even days or weeks after watching it about changes, and disasters, and how, effortlesly, lives are taken away, without anyone seeing that coming.

Before you click "disagree", I want you all to think...what would happen if a natural disaster striked where you live? And what if it takes away our family, best friends, people you know, love, depend on...and you have to pull through and start all over again?
  • This episode had to be the best episode in whole of Desperate Housewives history, and I am not just saying it because this series is my favourite, I am saying it because it is true, even if I didnt watch the show, this episode would make me watch it.

What else can I say about this amazingly acted, fantastically written season four episode? This episode is what makes us Desperate fans watch the show. We love the excitement and the comedy in every episode, and this one has a perfect balance of the both. It is filled with drama, which is the main reason we watch, there are some comedic moments and there is a lot of heartstopping scenes that when the end eventually came I was screaming because I could not wait another month to get the next episode, I wanted it then and then. Still, this episode has to be the best so far in my opinion, followed of coarse by Bang.
  • An emotional, exciting and jam packed episode, full of suspenseful and anticipating scenes that are worth waiting for, this episode doesn't disappoint!

I Have to say in my own opinion that this is truly the best episode of Desperate Housewives ever! i was so anxious waiting to see a tornado destorying Wisteria lane as i had been waiting for something big and suspenseful to happen since Season 3's Bang episode.

This episode really had my eyes glued to the screen, when the tornado finally arrived i could feel the suspense of a great episode mounting up. Seeing Edie protect Gabrielle from the tornado really made me like her more as i had lost some respect for her but i wouldn't miss the episode for the world!
  • Stand-out episode!

I know you can't do this sort of epic/tragic/disaster thing too often - people can't suspend their disbelief TOO regularly - but this is seriously the best best episode since the 'shooting at the mall' episode. And it STILL managed not to take itself too seriously. Despite some hits and misses in this shorter season (so far, anyway) the balance still remains good. One minute Eva Longoria is doing her best, if predictable, Laurel & Hardy impression (albeit on higher heels), the next you've got a tear rolling down your cheek because of a moment of real tenderness. And no, these moments RARELY involve Eva Longoria! - Was anybody else buying that nonsense about her dad being the reason she didnt wanna be around Lynette in the hospital??! In fact, pick at the show too much and it simply falls apart - NONE of these women would be friends in the real world, of course - neighbours or not. Still, just go with the flow and it's still very rewarding on all levels.

OH.MY.GOD This was a brilliant episode.Absolutely unbelievable!!!!!!!! The only drawback is that Susan is the second housewife to place her unborn child in jeopardy by accidentally falling down the stairs. Gaby was the first. Why couldn't Susan have been hit by stuff falling out of a high cupboard in the kitchen???? Why falling down the stairs? Apart from that I thught this episode was brilllliant. As with all episodes it has one of those mellow beginnings that has a meaning that turns into something a lot more serious at the end. No complaints here. Can't wait for next episode. Also I would like to take this oppurtunity to say that Susan is HOT.
  • It was supposed to be a beautiful episode but then the wind came and change everything... and we got a really great camera but a bad stories instead.

Well, at first I found this episode too much to handle but I have been seeing it and now I think that you can see some scenes over and over without getting tired of them and that is the real secret of an episode so at least is a good one!

I have to say that the idea of the tornado is quite original because changes the whole "DH theme" but that in fact is a mistake! Where did we left our homewives??? :O I think these were characters in a fiction show not the real housewives that we knew! That is quite anoying! Well I have to say that the opening scenes and the final sequences are really a gift! I love them so much!! And the camera job in this episode is just fascinating!

Anyway despite that... the storyline was really... let's say awful!? See... lynette story has no sense it was only meant to the whole scene finale, Bree story was only meant to introduce Katherine storyline... Susan was not so important there... and Gaby well I don't think that the story was a great one aswell! It was the best but not that important!

So I think it's a wonderful episode but the scripts were not that orgiinal! Anyway I have to save some scenes! I love some things aswell! Katherine final scene where we know that it's fantastic!

Another thing that bothered me of this episode is that it could have been a "action" episode! They didn't have nothing special there! Well I will have to give it a good puntuation but ... it was not that special!

And... It was NOT the BEST episode ever!!!!:o DH has had a lot better episodes!
  • nothing is better than that

One of the greatest episodes ever . . . .

waiting for the next one. . . . . . .I hope that Tom Scavo is all right as it will be too hard for Lenny to survive without her husband and sons . . . . . . especially while they are the best family in the whole series . . . .

    we are waiting for the coming . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .

Something is coming and it is coming right now in Wisteria Lane. In my opinion is the best episode of this season, really good believe me.

The episode starts with the announcement of a destruction, but it is more than than.

Bree, Orson, Adam and Katherine have to deal their problems in a little room because they are surprising by a an old friend of Adam that apparently had a thing with him in the past. That makes Bree and Katherine be more closed.

Mike, confess that he really has a problem with drugs and Susan is gonna have to help him, because he really needs it.

Victor wants revenge and try to kill Carlos, but it seems that the tornado kill him, (I´m not sure about Carlos.

    Edie and Gabi, hide together

And the worst part, is the poor Lynnette. She tried to help Ms. Mccluskey, and they hide in other house, but at the end of the episode, we find out that their house that where are hidden the Scavos is gone!

What happen next... I can´t wait

In my opinion the epizode is one of the best frome all the tv serises that I have watched of Desperate Housewives. That episode is the thing that I am watching the show on and on. It is a pitty that we will have some problems on watching next episodes of DH related to the strike, but what will not kill us makes us stroneger:) Frome that episode I am starting to like Christeen but we will for how long :)

Also I hope that the move out of Bree's son will not effect on his less apperance in the show, I must say he is may best character:)
  • Wisteria Lane comes crashing down as a tornado comes to town in this "season finale," due to the writer's strike. But if you're going to end the season early this is the way to do it.

At first I though the tornado was an extremely lame gimmick on the part of the writers as a vehicle to build the tension even higher, and it was. However, it was done with such fun and dark humor that I couldn't resist how intense and brilliant the episode was.

Basically the tornado took care of two characters that were going nowhere-Victor Lang (John Slattery) and Sylvia Greene (Melora Walters of P.T. Anderson film fame). There deaths were done so brilliantly that I couldn't help but laugh. It was like a kind wink by the writers, letting the audience know that they couldn't take the characters anywhere further so why not dispose of them with utter bravado. I couldn't agree more.

Finally, what really made the episode believable was the CG. It was fabulous. That last scene, both real descruction to the set, as well as CG was so haunting. This is by far one of the best "season finales" of the shows run.

While Season 3 was terrible, season 4 has almost captured what made the first two seasons the best in my humble opinion. If this pace is kept up season 5 should be a blast.
  • This was the most thrilling episode ever!

This episode was so good, exciting, amazing, brilliant... everything right from the beginning. Who will forfeit her husband? I think that they can't really kill the main characters like Carlos or Tom, can they? Maybe it is just Gabys current husband... I don't really like him. He is too ambitious and sneaky. But Tom and Carlos are so good, scriptwriters can't just kill those characters like that. I have been quite attached to them during these four seasons. How Lynette could get along with four kids and pizzeria by herself and how Gaby would do without Carlos? They are made for each other. OMG, this is so exiting!!!!!!
  • When's aired the next one?

What an amazing episode!! They said at the very beginning a husband of one of them would die, so we that fence came to Victor I though 'that's him'. Then, I remembered they said that man was a friend of all of them, so I really expect it won't be Tom. Well, I don't want anybody of them to die... I really love this TV series, but sometimes I suffer too much, like in this episode and in that at the supermarket. When's aired the next one? Are they on a 'Chrismas pause' or something like that? Can't wait to see it!
