Lynette decides to attend church with Bree. But not very surprised when she breaks protocol by asking a series of questions about the sermon in front of the whole congregation. Bree not so subtly tells her to worship elsewhere.
Bree realizes that she's blown it when her pastor tells her he was thrilled to see a new, and so enthusiastic, parishioner. Since she's trying to butter up the pastor so he'll ask her to head the ladies' auxiliary, she rushes to the Catholic church to fetch Lynette! We laugh at the scene she causes when Lynette refuses to leave! And we feel for Lynette when she says that during her recent trials, she envied Bree's faith, but now she's lost her faith in Bree. Bree apologizes for letting Lynette down. They're friends again, but we smile at the reason Lynette decides to stay where she is: the Catholics don't judge her for having so many kids.
We admire Edie's knack for being in the right place at the right time: A nurse lets it slip that Carlos's condition is more serious than he's letting on and that not even Gabrielle knows. We wonder how Gabrielle will react when she finds out, especially because she's just decided to surprise Carlos with a bedside wedding. Edie takes pleasure in telling Gabrielle she's just married a blind man. Gabrielle is furious that Carlos would think she'd leave him if she knew the truth. We weren't too sure she'd see it through either but we believe her when declares she loves him and isn't going anywhere.
Susan is shocked to find her 28-year-old cousin Tim in bed with Katherine. Susan is even more shocked to learn that they're reviving an old relationship: Katherine first slept with Tim when he was only 16.
Dylan shows Julie the burnt scrap of Aunt Lily's note that she found in the fireplace. Our suspicions about the secret Katherine has been keeping are confirmed as we read the few legible words: "Your father was murdered." Dylan meets with Adam to find out the truth, but Adam, who's alerted Katherine to Dylan's inquiry, insists that her mother didn't kill her father.
We're not at all sure that Adam's telling the truth when we hear that 12 years ago, Tim witnessed Katherine and a man arguing - and then saw her hit him with a heavy candlestick. The man was a stranger to him, but he's convinced it was Katherine's ex-husband.
