Katherine (to Susan): "Okay, before you get some sordid image in your head...".

    Tim: "She took my virginity".

Given that the previous episode aired three months ago in the US and had been both the last episode filmed before the writers strike took and was also an event episode of sorts, the first new episode post-strike isn't as ground breaking. That's not to say it's a terrible episode, it's just lacks a little something.

For instance, there's the ongoing Katherine saga. In the space of ten episodes, we've already learned that she has established history with Fairview, is an adept liar, has managed to irritate nearly all of the ladies and also made herself unloved with both Bob and Lee, who were able to get dirt on her.

Worse still is that in the previous episode, Adam discovered that she did something so horrible that his affair with Sylvia paled in comparison. This was also the same thing that disgusted Dylan upon her own discovery of it and it was enough to also haunt Aunt Lily before she died.

The big question is what the hell did Katherine do so awful to generate so many different reactions. To this episode's credit, there is thankfully some attempts to forward this storyline on but don't exactly expect much in terms of shocks.

First off this entire episode opens up with a flashback of Katherine's former husband Wayne. It appears that she was actually telling Dylan the truth when she admitted that Wayne used to slap her around the place. Wayne is seen to do this repeatedly until Katherine got the upper hand and decided to hit back.

Wayne was an abusive husband so as far as I'm concerned, Katherine did have every right in the world to strike back. However judging by the fact that she's later seen visiting a little grave in the woods, I have the feeling that Katherine might have killed her ex-husband. Now I can argue that Katherine shouldn't have taken the law into her own hands but if Wayne was really this dangerous, I'm not exactly sure I want to condemn her either. Then again, knowing how this show likes to turn things on its head, was it Wayne's grave that Katherine was visiting? Is Katherine really a killer?

Dylan definitely seems to think her mother is capable of murder. Given how evasive and mean Katherine can be, it's hardly unrealistic that Dylan would think so badly of her mother but instead of moaning about things, at least Dylan makes the effort to try and find out for sure if her mother killed her father.

The only person who could've given definite information was Aunt Lily and on account of her being dead, Adam is the next best thing. I like that Adam and Dylan do seem to have a really good relationship given that the two of them haven't interacted as much as you would think they would've done.

It's also terrific that even though he and Katherine have split up, Adam still cares enough about Dylan to take her fears about her mum being a killer seriously enough. If Mary Alice's closing narration is anything to go by, Dylan certainly does view Adam as a father figure.

It's just a pity then that although Adam does care for Dylan he also cares enough for Katherine to lie to the girl. Adam either doesn't know for sure or does but either way he manages to convince Dylan that her mother isn't a killer. Funnily enough, Dylan does end up buying it rather quickly at the end.

There are some surprise reactions to things involving the Mayfairs. Adam was pretty disgusted with Katherine at the end of "Welcome To Kanagawa" but he was willing to protect Katherine here and also Katherine was desperate for Adam to come home when previously she couldn't wait to get rid of him.

With only six episodes left in the season, it's going to be very interesting to see what role Adam will play into things, especially if he and Katherine don't get back together. There was also a light moment at the start of the episode where all the women came to sympathise with Katherine, only for her to shoo them out of the house.

However what is really interesting regarding the Katherine mystery is the inclusion of Susan's cousin Tim. His arrival came due to the lack of Mike and also because Susan isn't so hot with doing her own taxes but it did get amusing when Susan freaked out about his predilection for younger woman.

Susan naturally freaked out when she kept catching him talking to Dylan and given that she was in a specific age range, Susan did have good reason to worry. It should also be pointed out that Tim also likes the older woman too and there's nothing more embarrassing for Susan when she catches him shagging Katherine.

Even more interesting is that Tim and Katherine have had a sexual history. It seems that Katherine and Gabrielle might actually have something in common and it's a good moment of irony when Katherine is caught doing the same thing she was only happy to berate Gabby about in "The Game".

Apart from being a bit of a goer, Tim does have another use – he saw Katherine violently hit her husband. However it's a bit too convenient that he didn't even think about it until Susan asked him about Katherine. How much about Wayne does Susan actually know? As for Chris Carmack, well he's not the greatest of actors in the world but he did a decent job here as Tim so points there.

Whether or not Tim goes on to play a bigger role in the season remains to be seen but it's rather to see some more of Susan's family and in all fairness, Tim and Susan do seem to have a normal enough relationship. Plus it also helps that Susan wasn't quite as needy in this episode as she had been in the last.

As for Mike, well he doesn't really get to do much here, even though Susan and Julie visit him in rehab. All that can be seen is that he's getting much better and Susan jokes about Mike scaring Julie straight off drugs. I'm hoping that later episodes will give Mike something more substantial as he copes with imminent fatherhood.

Meanwhile if Mike is getting better, then poor Carlos is getting worse. He might be lucky to survive both a tornado and Victor's thirst for revenge but he's still royally screwed with his blindness being permanent. Carlos is also still determined not to tell Gabrielle about his condition, which isn't his best move.

First off all Gabby literally has to twist Father Crowley's arm into agreeing to remarry her and Carlos. If you're a big fan of these two, I bet you're disappointed with the lack of a romantic setting but given that these two are poor, the low key wedding isn't the worst thing that could happen with these two. I mean after all, you've still got Edie who at first seems to be in a forgiving mood but then takes pleasure in telling Gabby that she's married a blind man. I go to great lengths not to feel for Gabby but even here I felt a little bad in the way Edie was so thrilled to drop that bombshell on her.

Of course that then subsided when Gabby's selfish streak came back with a vengeance. Instead of worrying about her husband being permanently blind, Gabby thinks it's a lot more fun to make him suffer so that he can tell her the bad news. She even goes to the lengths of preparing a stew made out of dog food.

Fortunately she does manage to slightly redeem herself by being angry that Carlos assumed she would abandon him because he was blind. C'mon Gabby, if Carlos didn't think that of you, then I would be worried but if the writers are smart, then the remainder of this storyline is going to show me why I should root for these two to be together.

If Carlos is willing to put his faith in Gabby, then it's interesting to see Lynette willing to do the same with religion. At first she enlists Bree's help into finding a faith but Bree's annoyance at Lynette being audacious enough to actually ask Reverend Sykes in the middle of mass questions creates a divide with the two of them.

In fact Lynette is justified in her annoyed towards Bree this week. Bree can be a good friend when she wants to be but she also is rather insensitive as well and the fact that Lynette had to spell out why she was questioning her faith showed density on Bree's part.

Given the amount of craziness that has been going on with Lynette's life in the last couple of months, her sudden desire to find out why she's still standing is believable. There are some particularly great scenes with both Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross and it's also a relief that towards the end of the episode Bree gives Lynette something real to believe in – their friendship.

As for Tom and Orson, neither bloke seems to be given much to do beside support their wives. That being said Orson did make a point of telling Tim that he didn't want Benjamin to turn out like either Andrew or Danielle. Given that Danielle is the real mother, that's obviously easier said than done.

    Also in "Sunday"

Although Gary Cole is credited and appears in this episode, he has no dialogue and we don't clearly see his face.

Susan (to Katherine): "This was Bree's idea".

    Bree: "Susan!"

Susan: "I wanted to bring flowers but I was shot down".

This episode confirmed Bree and Orson as Presbyterians. Lynette and Tom are Catholic.

Lynette: "We should go to church".

Tom: "Why, what did we do?"

Lynette: "By the way, what am I now?"

    Bree: "Presbyterian".

Lynette is wearing her wig mostly throughout this episode. We'll have to wait longer to see her hair grow back.

Father Crowley: "Okay but promise you'll stay married to Carlos for the rest of your life".

Gabrielle: "Absolutely but if I don't I promise I will change religions".

Tim: "How old did you say you were?"

Dylan: "I turn eighteen next week".

    Tim: "Really, eighteen?"

Susan: "Julie, Dylan's here to study!"

Post-strike episode and I notice that Susan still isn't actually showing yet.

Edie (to Carlos): "I just spat in one of your Jell-O cubes. Happy hunting".

    Edie: "I guess you win".

Gabrielle: "Edie it was never a competition but yeah, I guess I do".

By all means, that nurse could've been fired for telling Edie confidential information about Carlos' health.

Carlos: "Gabby, I'm poor and blind and there's nothing about that that is your type".

Gabrielle: "Well thanks for the vote of confidence".

Lynette (to Bree): "I've been through cancer and a tornado and I don't know why I survived when so many people didn't".

Andrew and Danielle were the only missing regular people in the episode. Danielle doesn't really get mentioned that much.

Bree: "I want you to have faith in me and our friendship".

Lynette: "Well there are some things that are easy to believe in".

Chronology: Two weeks since "Something's Coming".

For the first episode post-writers strike, "Sunday" often felt more low key compared to what you might have expected. Katherine's mystery is fine but if she really killed her husband, then it does feel somewhat anticlimactic but at least the other plot kept it interesting.
  • A pretty boring episode, not the way to get started after the strike.

    4.0
    "Poor"
Bree & Lynette: She finds trouble dealing with Lynette and her need to find a religion and to believe in something ever since she has decided to go to Bree's church. The only good thing that came out of those was that we finally are reminded on what has happened with Lynette in the past two seasons and how much she has been through.

Gabby: She eventually finds out about Carlos's condition and seeks revenge on him for lying, but she assures Carlos that nothing will stand in the way of their relationship. This was just way too boring, I think Gabby and Carlos have lost their luster. They were fun in the first two seasons, but now they're just getting annoying.

Susan: Her nephew comes to visit her to help with financial issues, but she eventually finds out one of his secrets with one of her neighbors. This was boring as well, as fun as it was to see Chris Carmack on this show, he still played a very boring role and the only good parts were Susan's hilarious reactions to the stuff he was doing.
  • I don't know if this was the writer's intention, but even if the criticism to church was made on purpose, I didn't enjoy it. I am against church (the institution), but I didn't like the episode.

    3.0
    "Bad"
To begin with, and with historical reasons, I never liked church. By taking land and money from people to confess, even knowing that "god doesn't need money"; by stopping knowledge development by book burning, by considering heretic anything that is not related to god and by answering "god" to every question; and because of the irrational need of represent god in the earth by a physical institution, even if preaching is possible without a specific place to be in, are just enough reasons to be against the institution, but not against the religion itself. About religion, I don't criticise people if they believe in something and go to a place to pray, but my beliefs are in other place (read Grey's Anatomy 04x11 review).

This episode showed that the institution is still not flexible, and I loved when Lynette asked those sharp questions that the institution doesn't like to hear. In a way, those questions reminded of me. But Bree wasn't flexible, and that's because of church's lack of flexibility.

The other storylines didn't catch my eye. Katherine's fling was boring (but not Susan's reaction)and Gaby's selfishness, unbearable when it comes to Carlos.

However, in this episode, Gaby represents people who have a flexible use of church. It was funny indeed to see church as a cafeteria, showing how naive church people are.

It was a good criticism, but the episode was boring anyway...

Great first post-strike episode! Gabrielle looked incredibly sexy in the beginning when the women visited Katherine. She was also hilarious when she found out that Carlos' blindness is permanent, and she put dog food and dish detergent in his stew. LMAO! Then she started tripping him! Gabby rocked in this episode. I really enjoyed the episode, a lot. You may ask why this episode is a series classic... Well because Gabby and Carlos got married! YAY! I enjoyed the Susan/Tim/Katherine thing, and I liked the Katherine/Adam interaction, then the Adam/Dylan interaction. The Lynette/Bree storyline was OK, nothing excellent, but the way it was played out was good. Pretty good episode.
  • Great come back! I just loved it! The girls are back for good, with the adventures we all love! And this episode proves it!

I really liked this episode! A great come back for our favourite neighbourhood! Wisteria Lane is a very special place...

I loved Gaby's scene with the priest... "VICTOR was the one I was having the affair with, and God smoked him!" LOL Gaby is hilarious.

I also liked Lynette's concerns about Religion - not many people stop to thank (whoever, doesn't matter) for the great achievments in life! And not many churches are opended to questions...

Well, I can't help to feel sorry for Susan - always in some kind of crazy situation - in this case, Tim and Katherine! Oh, Katherine...Even though she's all mean and unsharing, I couldn't help to feel sad for her.. But I really think she should come clean to Dylan. The girl deserves it...

In the end, a good example of a good Desperate Housewives' episode!
  • Season 4, Episode 11.

    "Perfect"
This episode was so good. It was an excellent return from the three month Writers' Strike. Susan's cousin Tim comes to help Susan with her taxes, and reveals something about the Mayfair mystery that he saw when he visited when he was 16. Gabrielle learns that Carlos' blindness is permanent, only after he tricks her into remarrying him. Edie, of course, is the person to tell Gabrielle that she married a blind man, and has the highest intentions of infuriating Gabby. Gabby then trips Carlos repeatedly, to get revenge, which was hilarious. Lynette finds a new interest in religion and decides to go to church more, and her storyline ties in with Bree's.
  • The Housewives are back

    "Good"
I have being waiting for this show to come back since the gripping last episode aired, but the biggest question it left me with was what was on that bit of paper. It has been playing on my mind ever since. Now let the Episode play!

We first discover in this new episode that Kathryn's first husband used to hit her. Also since Adam moved out, he has not yet returned home. He is staying in a hotel. Bree, Lynette, Susan and Gabby go over to Kathryn's to offer their support to her and she simply asks them to leave. We then see Kathryn sitting at an unmarked grave. But the question is whose grave is it? Susan's cousin Tim comes into town to help her with their taxes. She soon discovers that he was fired from his last job after he had sex with the boss's daughter who was only 18 years old at the time. We also find out that the piece of paper about Dylan read" your father was murdered" Carlos lies to Gabby and tells her that he will only be blind for three to four months. Katherine is in Adams hotel room when he listens to the message left for him by Dylan regarding the letter. Edie informs Gabby that Carlos lied to her about his sight and that it is permanent.

Susan visits Mike in rehab with Julie. Susan calls Tim about her taxes and hears someone else in the background. So Susan races home and leaves Mike and Julie alone to "bond". When she gets home she finds Tim in bed with Katherine. Gabby makes Carlos life a misery by leaving things out for him to fall over as punishment for not telling her about his sight. We learn that Katherine and Tim first slept together when he was only 16 and that she took his virginity. We also learn that Tim saw the murder, but whose? He didn't know who it was, but he thought that it was her ex husband. He tells Susan all of this. Adam meets Dylan and tells her that her mother did not murder her father.

I personally think that this episode was a little bit too rushed. After all of the build up a lot of things were discovered within the space of one short episode. However, it was still a very good episode, but still hasn't really answered my questions about the piece of paper.
  • However you are expecting something to play out, won't be how it actually turns out.

    "Great"
The one problem I had with this episode was that I didn't really remember what was going on before. The mystery seemed to make some important discoveries, but I could not remember what we already knew about it. It came as a bit of a shock that Katherine was sleeping with Chris' character, especially since we were so focused on him with underaged girls. It was good that they actually had a reason for introducing his character.

Gaby and Carlos's storyline was pretty good. I was really interested in how she would react when she found out he was permanantly blind. Her reaction turned out to be classic Gabby. On the outside she was upset, but she really cared about him and was more disapointed that he wasn't able to tell her. Lynette and Bree's storyline started out a little silly, but it got deeper. This was a good way of doing it because it put us in Bree's shoes and showed us how important something can be even though you don't really see it that way. I love how we all thought that the priest found Lynette annoying, but he really liked the way she was asking questions.
  • On Sunday almost everyone on Wisteria Lane gathers there families and there selves and go off to Church, while Katherine cries by a mysterious marker deep in the woods and her mystery on Wisteria Lane thickens...

    9.3
    "Superb"
Gabby and Carlos are married while he keeps his secret of being permanently blind. He doesn't think Gabby could take the truth, which has pretty nasty consequences. Lynette at church ads some much needed comedy to her character, as she raises her hands during mass to talk to the priest. Katherine's mystery grows deeper with what appears to be a grave in her backyard, and a flashback of her hitting her husband with a candle stick. The O.C.'s Chris arrives to Wisteria Lane to help Susan, and he also helps a Mayfair get her mind off her recent troubles. This episode had things happen here and there and was enjoyable,a great example of this award winning series.
  • Oh man, I had to pause the tv to try and decipher what was in that note!!!!! Oh, I'm dying!!!! I know there's more than just the husband thing....

OMG, this was definitely worth the wait. Excellent episode to bounce back from strike. I thought the whole thing with Katherine was very well written. I loved every minute of it. But I still think there's a lot more to it than what Dylan knows. I can't wait for new episodes!

Lynette and the church thing was just plain hillarious. She was cracking me up with the post its on the bible and the questions. Way too funny. Bree was funny too trying to pretend she didn't know Lynette. Baby Benjamin looks so big. He is a major cutie. Susan and her cousin were hilarious. I was laughing so hard all the time. And I can't believe he slept with Katherine. I kinda figured it out when he said on the phone it was really good seeing you too the other day, and couldn't stop thinking about her. It was kind of too heavy for an 18 year old. I was surprised by Gaby because I didn't expect her to be not so shallow. Not a whole lot happening with Edie. They need to give her some interesting stories.

I can't wait for the new episode tonight! Yay!!! Bring on some more!!!!

Of course it was a great relief to see Desperate Housewives back after its long break, and like normal it was acted and put together well. However you would think they had plenty of time to pull of total stunner.

It wasn't all that bad, I did enjoy it but for I show im normally glued to, I found my attention drifting. Right now can't even quite remember how it ended. I can't really therefore give it a high rating.

That might sound harsh as there was plenty to smile about; Susan's nephew is a fun addition, covering a topic which suprisingly I havent seen American mainsteam TV tackle much, (this may be only my perception granted). Lynettes soul-seeking was quite a good storyline too. Her interruptions in Brees Church was funny. Nevertheless I think they took a goldmine of storyline possibilites, and picked out a piece of silver. Still fun though!

In its credit also is the continued faster pace in storyline development. What does beg the question however is where the hell is the story of Carlos being blind going? Is it going to be case of now he can't see gabrelle, he will start to see her as ugly? Could be good, but then I cant see it going anywhere else...Having Gabby cheat of him again would be just be plain unoriginal. It's hard for me not to like DH, but knowing the quality of this show, it has to be said this episode wasn't up to scratch.
  • Finally I have enough information on Katherine Mayfair to soothe my hunger for gossip.

I finally recieved what I wanted! Ever since Katherine moved to the neighborhood, I've been wondering about her twisted past. I still wonder, but at least my thirst is partially quenched. I began to think: "Will Desperate Houseives keep me in an eternal cliffhanger?" At least my former thoughts have been discarded. I should have known better than to doubt Desperate Housewives! Anyway, back to the episode. I find it rather sad that Carlos will be blind for the rest of the series, but I just know there will be a twist to that. I even question the sincerity of Gabby when she tells Carlos "I love you." There are many possibilties, so I can't wait for the rest of the season! I also loved that a certain cancer victim turned to Bree for chuch advice. Bree really is power hungry, isn't she?
  • The ladies of Wisteria Lane are back and better than ever!

    "Great"
This was a pretty good episode, it reminded me of first season Housewives, it was refreshing. I particulary liked Chris Carmack as Susan's horny cousin who comes to Wisteria Lane to do taxes. He runs into Katherine Mayfair and we learn that they had an affair when he was 16 years old! Susan catches the two of them in the guest room at her house. Over at the hospital, Carlos finally comes clean to Gaby about his vision, sort of. He tells her only 3 months, 4 tops. Edie finds out that it is permanent and tells Gaby and Gaby confronts Carlos. Carlos admitted that he was afraid Gaby would leave him if she found out he was permanently blind. The two decided to work it out as time went on. Lynette, feeling spiritual after beating cancer, decides to go to church and she attends with Bree. The whole family goes and Lynette just asks question after question of the priest, embarassing Bree. Bree tells Lynette that church is a place for answers, not questions, so Lynette decides to go to a Catholic church, rather than Presbyterian where Bree goes. Finally, we are revealed that Katherine Mayfair is the one who killed her first husband. Dylan finds the note that Katherine tried to burn in the fireplace and calls Adam who in turn calls Katherine because he knows that Katherine killed her first husband but has been covering for her - sneaky! Katherine tells Adam to meet Dylan and tell her nothing is wrong, that her mother loves her very much, and he does, but it is revealed to us that Susan's cousin actually saw Katherine kill her husband way back when he was young. The show has been gone way too long and thank goodness it is back because this is one hell of a storyline that I cannot wait to see how it ends up!
  • I expected much more.

I've been waiting for this episode to come out expecting an end to my wonders about dylen's father and katherine's crime. i was eager for an explosion of surprises. but there it was, an ordinary epsode with very pridicted actions.

I hated katherine's behaviour towards the neighbors. it made hate her even more than i already do.

despite her slyness, bree proved to be a good person and a good friend.

I didn't like the religious aspects of this episode. it was kind of boring and reiterated. i think it creates a hostile atmosphere around the fans of this series.

the sequence of incidences didn't draw my attention as it supposed to do.
  • Katherine's past begins to haunt her; Dylan confronts Adam about what Katherine did to her father; Lynette goes to church in search of faith; Susan's cousin Tim falls for someone who had a past with him.

    "Superb"
This was a very Katherine-focused episode, and I loved it. Granted, I was a bit disappointed with what was on the note, but I'm glad to see that there's more to this mystery than a simple note. I'm still curious to find out where this is going to go. This mystery has been far more engaging than past seasons, if I may say so.

I think it's a credit to Dana Delaney's acting that we manage to feel some sympathy for her. Having her around has been one of the best things about this season, and I hope they keep her around. It was also nice to see Katherine involved in some of the more comedic moments.

The story of Lynette finding faith was the highlight of the episode. I think the writers made a great statement about asking questions, which is perfectly normal.

This has by far been one of the best seasons of the show, and I look forward to the final few episodes.
  • Lynette searches for answers, so does Dylan. Susan's cousin reveals a secret that Katherine has been hiding from everyone. Gabby and Carlos remarry but his blindness maybe a problem for the couple.

    9.7
    "Superb"
So we are back on Wisteria Lane, and things are still a nowhere near normal, and by normal I mean life without torandoes, there may still be a murderer living amongst them, a druggie in rehab, a vindictive scorned woman, a couple hiding the identity of their baby's parents, a cancer survivor, a newly married couple who lost everything the husband embezzled and Susan and all her craziness. On Sunday morning the residents of Wisteria Lane head off to woship, except the Scavo's which becomes an issue for Lynette since she feels that her family has had a lot of good fortune lately and that they should be thankful for it. The only problem is they are not very religious, so she seeks Bree's council, but Bree grows hesitant about Lynette's forward behavior in church, which goes against her reserved manner. Her lines about which religion Lynette should choose were hilarious. Their talk at the end was very special and heartfelt.

Gabby and Carlos got remarried, but Carlos forgot to tell Gabby his blindness is most likely permanent. I have to admit I hate this storyline, I am glad that they are together, but still upset that he has to be blind, but it seems like there will be a lot of hilarious moments while they adjust.

So Susan's cousin Tim is here to do her taxes, and her neighbor, sorry that one was too easy to pass up. It turns out though it was not their first time, and he saw her kill her husband. I still don't believe this is the end of the story, there is still more there, the gash in the floor upstairs.

It was a great episode back from the strike, and I hope the rest of the season turns out just as great as this episode.
  • For the first time, I felt like the episode was more about the season's mystery which is very good considering how exciting this season's mystery has been!

Wow, after so much time Desperate Housewives is back and it's so good, just like ever!

Let me start by saying that I loved the character interaction in this episode, it was really lovely and there were so many brilliant moments as well as some hilarious moments!

Let me start with Gabrielle's storyline. It's probably the 2nd funniest storyline after Susan's. She goes to church to ask the priest to re-marry her and Carlos, that scene is genius! After that, she goes to the hospital with the priest so she and Carlos would get married but Carlos tries to tell her that he's blind but then backs off after fearing that she may leave him, and so they get married. Later on, Carlos is visited by Edie who offers him the diamond bracelet he once got her since he's poor now but to her shock, it's not real diamond! Edie gets mad and discovers from the nurse that Carlos is blind and Gabrielle does not know, so she happily delivers the news to Gabby who decides to punish Carlos for not telling her. The scene in Gabrielle's kitchen when she puts objects in his way and throws fruits at him is HILARIOUS and proves that Gabrielle has changed and she is not leaving Carlos because he's poor or blind.

Bree & Lynette shared the same storyline. Bree is the most religious of Lynette's friends and so she seeks her help when she decides to go to church to find answers on why she's survived cancer, a tornado and she's been so lucky. During the ceremony, Lynette embaresses Bree by asking so many questions and Bree confronts Lynette about it and so Lynette moves to another church. Later on, when Bree goes to church she discovers that the priest thought Lynette was "delightful" and is very happy with Bree for bringing a new family to the church and so Bree attempts to get Lynette back to the church not realizing that she's actually using her freind. Eventually Lynette and Bree overcome this obstacle in their friendship and everything works out although Lynette stays with her new church.

The funniest storyline of the episode was Susan's, this is probably her best episode this whole season! Her cousin Tim is in town to do her taxes because Mike is in rehab, and it's very obvious from the beginning that Tim is actually girl-crazy. A very funny scene takes place very early on when Susan attempts to change the subject when Tim is talking about his boss's daughter which he had a relationship with. Shortly after, Katherine and Dylan come over after Katherine's unpleasant gesture (mentioned below) and it's very obvious that Tim is into Dylan but Susan does something very funny to break the chemistry between the two. Later on, Tim goes out to buy milk and Susan sees him talking to Dylan and then does another funny thing to separate the two, she's really funny! Anyway, later on Susan & Julie are visiting Mike in rehab when Susan calls Tim so he would talk with Mike since they need to work some things out for the taxes but she hears a woman's voice in the background and realizes that Dylan may be with him and simply rushes back home! To Susan's shock, Katherine is the one in bed with Tim! It's revealed that Katherine and Tim had a one-night stand twelve years ago. Also by the end of the episode, Tim reveals that after Katherine asked him to stay away from her so they wouldn't do such a mistake again he goes over to her house with flowers and he sees her kill a man with a candle which is hinted to be her ex-husband.

The main draw of this episode was Katherine's mystery which continues to intruige me in such an extraordinary way! The episode begins with scenes of Katherine's husband slapping her, then apologizing and then slapping her again but then she's shown hitting him with a candle. Later on, after the ladies of Wisteria Lain visit Katherine to comfort her after her break up with Adam she kicks them out and then she goes out to the woods, sits next to a grave and begins to wheep. Later on, Dylan contacts Adam to ask about the note she found in the fire place which says that her father was murdered and Dylan thinks that it's her mother who did it. Adam contacts Katherine immediately and they agree to know what Dylan knows before doing anything, also Katherine tells Adam that she misses him and that she wants a second chance but he's not so interested (that scene was awesome by the way). Anyway, later on Dylan visits Adam and he tells her that her aunt (who wrote the note) was losing it but Dylan tells him that she deserves to know the truth and so Adam tells her that Katherine did not kill her ex-husband, although the flashbacks suggest otherwise. Overall, this was a BRILLIANT episode! So many classic Desperate Housewives moments, especially Susan's scenes and that kitchen scene with Gabrielle and Carlos! Can't wait for the next episode to see what's going to happen next with Katherine and hopefully the conclusion will be SHOCKING!
  • Not as thrilling as it could be!

I think after all these months of waiting it could have been a more exciting episode. Although, there was some developments in the Katherine department... And Mike's getting back soon apparently. Let's see if totally recovered. It looks like Gaby is changing a little bit, but maybe it was just one more plan. That's a good point to wait for the next episodes. The church part was kind of boring and more of the same. The friends don't understand each other, Bree always thinks about her first and in the end they are best friends again and happy until next time.

But overall it was ok. Let's see the next one how it goes.
  • The women of Wisteria Lane are back and better than ever.

Let me just start out by saying that I absolutely loved this episode, and I would definitely have to say that I think that this episode is one of the best episodes ever of Desperate Housewives. I loved all of the story lines, but especially the Bree and Lynette story line along with Kathryn's and Susan's story lines. I thought that Bree had some great lines throughout the whole episode. I loved the scene where Susan finds her nephew, Tim, and Kathryn in bed together. That scene was so funny. I also loved the scene where Gabrielle kept tricking Carlos when she was telling him where to walk to in the kitchen. All in all, this really was an amazing episode, and I can't wait to season how the season ends.
  • Lynnette tries to find religion, Katherine husband was abusing her, and Carlos is trying to hide how bad his condition truly is from Gaby

    "Superb"
This is exactly why I love this series, it ties in a mystery with a funny storyline like religion. And another reason why this episode was great is because it did not attack religion ,like so many television shows do, but instead it showed why many people choose to go down a path of faith and for once it did not make priest seem all that bad. After a very difficult year with almost having an affair with Rick, to having cancer, to having your children almost die in a tornado Lynette has finally come full circle and is now asking god the question "Why?" Why is their so much suffering, why are kids bring guns to school and killing everyone they see and then commit sucide? So now Lynette decides to attend church with Bree and her family and kept on interrupting the church sermin to ask the priest questions. Now unlike most television shows a priest would go blank but the priest in this episode answer Lynette's questions and then ask her if she had anymore then she should go to the bible study on Tusedays, which is what you're suppose to do when you have alot of questions. Now as for the rest of the episode, Edie finds out Carlos is really blind and tells Gaby who decides to play a funny game of marco polo in their kitchen and at the same time putting various objects in his way so he can trip over them. Susan's cousin sleeps with Katherine and Susan flips out when she sees them together. Katherine has flashbacks of her husband hitting her and then apologizing and then hitting her again. And she is also seen crying over a grave in her backyard that could be her husband or something else.
