  • An episode that hit all the right beats, 'The Lies Ill-Concealed' had a lot of great material and felt true to form.

A 10 out of 10 score for an episode that had a lot to recommend it. Bree and Gabby shining the brightest of the housewives tonight with their amazing cake making sequence. I agree with Gabby's decision to leave Carlos due to his ultimatum (making Gabby choose her friends or him) but I didn't see her moving out of her own accord. Still a fantastic episode with some amazing Gabby quotes and a wonderful sequence in which Bree finally admitted her affair with Karl (amazing she kept that under her hat for so long). Lynette on the other hand was the weak plot for the night with her wish to be apart of the A team. I did love her interactions with Lee and her big speech to try and get the other Plus ones on her side BUT she I agree that the payoff for this plot was not strong enough. The sudden return of herself and Tom to the lane was very rushed and I felt it was strange they waited till they got home to deal with their issues. Wonderful little scene with Renee BUT I wish she had more screen time, very underused this week. Susan and Paul's interactions were very nice with a wonderful sequence at Susan's old dining table where they discussed Mary Alice and their past. I hope a reconciliation can be made between them but with Susan getting deeper and deeper into the mystery this seems unlikely. Finally Felicia and McClusky's sequence bought a new connection between them to light which was a very awesome revelation. The flashback to Season 2 was just right and raises my hope for further flashbacks in the final episodes, hopefully one including Mary Alice. The reference to dinner with Mary Alice made by Susan does give me hope we will see a flashback to a neighbourhood dinner with her in the final episode but we can only hope.

Overall a fantastic episode with plenty of references, great one liners and some excellent set up for future episodes. A lot to look forward to in the final four episodes of Season 7 :D

Another great episode of Desperate Housewives this season. While the show does not have any really big or exciting storylines building up that we will see explode in the finale (sorry, the Paul thing is not doing it for me) but they are having a lot of great one-off plots, so that works for me. The whole thing with Lynette was absolutely perfect with her stealing the lantern and then being forced to give the speech. I know that they had me yelling, "Oh, no!" at the screen when Meg Butler was called up to the podium. The Gaby and Bree thing felt like something ripped from The Brady Bunch, but it was good, harmless fun too.

Funny, simple episode of D House tonight. Just a good way to spend your Sunday.
  • Great episode!

This episode of Desperate Housewives was hilarious! The story line with Lynette and Lee was so funny seeing Lynette's attempts at rebellion from being a "plus one". It kept the show lighthearted and added some humour. As for Gabby and Bree, the idea for the pie incident was great, especially when Bree pushed the kids out of the way to deliver the pie to Gabby. Although those two story lines were quite funny, I didn't like Susan's sudden friendship with Paul Young. I sense a secret affair coming with them, but I really hope it doesn't happen because I like Mike but I hate Paul.
  • A classic episode Desperate Housewives :)

This was a nice little episode that reminded me of the first 3 seasons. Gaby & Bree had some amazing moments in this episode which provided a great comic relief. I especially loved the scene with the cake at the end. And there was also an interesting twist at the end of this episode with this story when Gaby moved in with Bree and practically chose her over Carlos. She brought her daughters with her, so that should be fun to watch in the next episode.

Felicia & Karen had some decent scenes and it looks like Felicia succeeded getting Karen on her side. Interesting to know that Karen was involved in this framing of Paul as she knew Felicia was alive. Great flashback from season 2 was added. Harriet Sansom Harris is such an amazing actress. I hope she can land a role in Marc Cherry´s new pilot.

Susan having inappropriate dreams about Paul was fun to watch, but it is quite boring that they get along so well now. Mike was such a pain in the ass as always. I just cannot stand him.

Lynette was also very funny when she pretended to be someone else and was called to give a speech on the stage LOL. But I feel that there is not much to do with the Scavos. It is always the same storyline with them. I loved Lee in this episode and that he was actually a part of this "PLUS ONE" storyline.

Renee had only 2 brief scenes, one in the opening narration of Mary Alice and the second one when she told Lynette that it is better to be wife than first wife. It is sad to see how underused and actually pointless is this character. I feel sorry for Vanessa Williams. She can do better.

The Lies Ill-Concealed was another perfect episode of Desperate Housewives because all the plot lines are really building up for a culmination of events. I thought Lynette was hilarious in her mission to see a key speaker at an executive conference she accompanied Tom to. Her actions caused a little conflict for the couple and I can't wait to see how it works out. Renee is a good friend by showing Lynette the true cost of Tom's new found success. I thought it was cool how Susan wants to help Paul, though she is having naughty dreams about him. Mike doesn't understand her position which causes some strife for them. Felicia continues her plan by regaining the trust of Mrs. McKluskey who has a dark secret of her own. Gaby, Carlos, Andrew and Bree have been through a lot with each other and it was interesting to see how Carlos dealt with Mother and Child seperately. Gaby makes a decision and stands for her friendship with Bree. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!
  • BEST EPISODE EVER!!

This episode was absolutely HILARIOUS, I haven't laughed this much over DH in a long time! Bree and Gabby's illicit affair (and the making of the pineapple upside down cake! ROTFL!) was fantastic - and really sexy even though it was strictly PG (aside from the entendres). Lynette's disastrous adventures at the Fortune 500 conference was so ridiculous and AWESOME. This episode reminded me of the fun romps in the earlier seasons, which is the essence of this show. It hit all the right notes perfectly. I loved this, keep it coming! (Also - wow can Gabrielle rock that white trench!)

This wasnt a bad episode of Desperate Hosuewives but it certanly wasnt a great one, The best storyline this week was probably Susan i thought the whole having sex dreams about paul was pretty funny and creepy, I also liked the scenes with paul and susan when they were talking about mary-alice, i always think its nice to see these characters sharing scenes together because they have got so much history with eachother,

Bree and Gaby shared storlyine was ok but i do feel that it was abit over the top, i felt that the actreess were trying to hard to find the comedy, however i did think the pinapple up side down cake scene was pretty funny, I also liked the fact that carlous hasnt forgiven bree im sure he will eventually but i think it would be unrelistic if he just forgave her striaght away espically considering that we have been waiting seven years for this secret to come out,

The felicia and karen stuff was quite enjoyable, it was abit of a shock to learn that karen new about the whole faked death thing, It is nice to have felicia back on the show she is such a great character and the actrees who potrays her is fantastic and plays creepy better then anyone,

The worst storyline this week was lynettes which was ridiculous, the writing of that storyline was just way over the top the writers ttried so hard to make that story funny but it just wasnt it just felt daft, also the character of lynettes seems to be getting more annoying after each episode the writers really need to get a handle of her character agian, felecity huffman deserves more

Renee once agian had virtually nothing to do in this episode, i feel so sorry for vanessa williams she such a good actress and as we have seen on ulgy betty she plays super villian like nobody eles but this show dosnt take any addvantage of that and it is sad to see, i hope next year the writers inprove her character and give her some proper storylines,

Overall this was an ok episode but certianly wasnt anything special or memorable, but it did do a ncie job of setting up furture episodes that remian of this season
  • Susan and Paul.... EWWW

Another great installment of season seven

Looks like those rumours about Tom and Lynette splitting up are becoming true as this episode proves their marriage is on a slippery slope.

Tensions also mount between Carlos and Gabrielle. The scene where a flour-covered Gabrielle tries to seduce Carlos ranks amongst as one of my favourite Eva Longoria moments. Hope things work out ok?

Once again Harriett Samson proves she is Felicia Tilman by manipulating Karen McCluskley. Harriett is another person whose acting is superb this year.

But its Teri and Mark that provide the most fun in this episode. the scenes where they were making out were gross yet hilarious. I must say I felt a bit sorry for Paul Young. The writers have done well with his character by turning him into a victim.
  • Another brilliant pineapple-upside-down-cake-filled episode!

This was turly a brilliant episode, an d definitely one of the most hilarious ones we have seen in a fai r while. The Bree and Gabrielle storyline was very good, and I really enjoyed hte ending, which I shall not spoil yet.

Additionally, Lynette's storyline was finally a little interesting, for the first time in several weeks. It was quite hilarious to see her get on stage, and everything that happened was funny!

Susan's storyline was a little random, but I really enjoyed Felicia and Karen's onversation! Some really interesting developments, that's for sure!

All up, a great episode! Lots of great humour, especially with the pineapple upside down cake! Kep it up, Desperate Housewives!
