this was another ok episode of desperate housewives seventh season with some decent storlyines

lynette had a pretty funny storyline i thought tom predenting to be high on herbs was pretty funny however i did feel abit sorry for him lynette did kind of humiliate him

susan storyline of doing porn continues to be entertaining it is daft but i am finding it pretty funny

bree amd renee shared a storyline this week which was pretty funny however i am not totally soled on the renee character she seems abit like an edie clone overall this was a pretty enjoyable episode of desperate housewives
  • Not as good as the last two, but still a great episode!

This episode was still quite funny, and some storylines developed nicely. Beth begins to learn about her husabnd, and mots importantly, Gabby has a private dectecitve look into a vital matter for her, without Carlos' knowledge.

I really enjoyed the scenes in the bar where Renee and Bree were. A little bit of a reivalry is developing there, which could make for some entertaining television!

Some of the storylines were quite funny today, and that includes Susan's internet lingerie act. Funny stuff!

The only criticism is that there was nothing exceptionally gripping and enticing in this episode which captured my attention. The episode didn't really end with an exciting revelation, which was really, the only downside!

Truly Content was a good episode of Desperate Housewives. A lot of the story lines continued. The girls had their poker game with Paul's new wife. Susan had some trouble with competition in her day job. She handles it in a funny way. Bree and Renee decided to go out on the prowl, but Renee ends up leaving with Kieth, which makes Bree resort to drastic measures. In turn Renee is now Bree's number 1 enemy cause "No One Steals a Man from Her Bed!!!" Tom gets high on oregano thanks to Lynnette. Gaby tempts fate by having Bob the Lawyer contact the other family, with their biological daughter. Carlos is upset and will leave Gaby if anything bad happens now. This was all a good cut off, and I look forward to seeing how things play out.
  • Gaby hires Bob to help find her real daughter; Lynette is surprised when Tom comes home with a prescription for medical marijuana; Bree and Renee decide to hit the club to go man-hunting;Susan gets into a brawl with one of her competitors in her new job.

Three episodes in, and I'm already enjoying it more than last season. For starters, the whole baby-switching thing has proven to be one of Gaby and Carlos' most dramatically compelling story to date. It's amazing to look back and see how far both characters have come, especially Gabrielle. Eva's acting here is simply wonderful, and I can't help but feel horrible for what she and Carlos are dealing with.

Susan. I was sure I was going to hate this story, but I laughed quite a bit in this episode. Teri Hatcher is simply golden here, particularly when she is watching one of her competitors have a "blow-out" on camera. Hilarious.

Bree/Renee. Vanessa Williams definitely fits right in on this show. Her new rivalry with Bree looks like it could be a lot of fun. And how fabulous did Bree look with her hair down in that black dress? Wow!!

Lynette/Tom. I definitely know that postpartum depression IS a big thing for many fathers, so I appreciate that perspective. As for the whole medical marijuana thing - it was mildly funny, not hilarious - UNTIL Lynette switched the pot with oregano. Awesome. And fairly creative on the writers' parts. Paul/Beth. Alright, I honestly have NO idea where this is going, and I love it. Paul Young is still as creepy as ever, and Beth...well, I don't know what to make of her yet. I have a few ideas, but I'll keep them to myself for now. :) I like the fact that this mystery is mostly focused on characters already established in the series (Paul, Felicia).

James Denton recently stated in an interview that season 7 was going to be the series' best season yet. I hope that's true, because it's definitely off to a good start.
  • I have not seen Desperate Housewives for quite a while. I was enthusiastic at first, but after a while the show lost my interest. I saw some trailers that indicated that the show was trying to recapture their past glory, so I gave it a shot.

I loved seeing Bree Hodge and Renee Perry duke it out. Vanessa Williams was great on Ugly Betty, and her character fits right in at Wisteria Lane. She makes a good nemesis for Bree. I loved it when Renee helps Bree get dressed to go out clubbing, and she thinks her dress has a plunging neckline, and she approves. The prudish Bree says that the plunge is in the back--but later, as she starts to lose out to Renee the man eater, she changes. It was funny. Can dresses really be worn both ways? It seems unlikely that you could just wear it backwards. But who cares about something like that when you see how hot Bree looks in the dress. She also looked tough when she broke her sprinklers with the golf club. The determined Bree, who gets what she wants and doesn't let anything stand in her way. When Renee shows up to say that "Nobody steals a man from my bed" and says that her new hobby is taking down Bree, she snaps right back with "you should stick to your old hobby of not wearing undergarments." Burn.

Susan Delfino also had a funny catfight with her rival. Okay, that was a brilliant idea, to have her doing softcore web casts. It is just so tacky. And didn't it turn out that when they had the catfight, their ratings went through the roof? This is how TV shows have their cake and eat it, too. They show little clips and indicate there is going to be a cat fight. It seems like they are really going to show something very naughty but it is always kind of a tease, they never really show that much. I noticed that Tom and Lynette Scavo are still there, as is Mike Delfino. Carlos Solis is still there, but he is a different actor. I missed the changing of the guard. He kind of looks like the old Carlos, but I am 100% sure that it is a different guy. It is like when Dick York was playing Darin, and suddenly it was Dick Sargeant. In Wayne's World Garth and Wayne referred to it as the Sargeant York effect. I see there is no Orson, and what about Andrew, Bree's sociopathic son? Eva Longoria Parker is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but Gabby is so mean and selfish. It looks like her character has gone through a lot of changes. Paul Young is back, and his new wife seems so nice. A little too nice, in a creepy not-so-nice way. She has learned that his neighbors think he's a murderer, but she is cool with that. Prediction: she will turn out to be some kind of weird serial killer groupie and help Paul Young kill more people. Mark my words. I am going to start watching this show again.

Three episodes in, and this is looking to be a strong season (if not the strongest). The twist in episode two between Paul and his new wife was really inventive. Similarly, the writers seem to have found a way to really develop Gabi and Carlos' relationship and characters. A third thing that excited me was the prospect of covering depression with some real depth in a mainstream TV show. Tom's post-natal depression (a storyline which started in episode two) had the potential to open up a lot of very important issues and develop the character in a new and exciting way. It was to my horror (although not my surprise) that the writers instead chose to resolve this storyline through the absurd. Going from anti-depressives to marijuana and then oregano? Oh yeah, I forgot, depression isn't a serious topic at all. Lynette was perfectly right to treat it with such disdain.

That last sentence was English sarcasm. This last episode, was a disaster for storytelling.
  • The women of Wisteria Lane invite Beth over for a poker game. Gabrielle hires a private detective to look into an important matter, unbeknownst to Carlos. Renee invites a reluctant Bree to go clubbing with her in order to engage in some man-hunting.

This episode was awsome with everything that make Desperate housewives spacial : a lot of funny scene and lot of drama.

This season mysteries are going to be great :

    - first the Juanita storyline is going to be really intense and we start to see how all of this drama is affecting this little family. We are going to see a new Gabby I think so!

    - then all the Paul return with his new wife stuff is really suspect!

    - the introduction of Brian Austin Green and Vanessa Williams is going to bring a lot of fun with Marcia Cross. Be careful boy the cougars are out!!!

Bree being the most desperate of all the housewives? Sorry, but that spells disaster for this season. I am liking Vanessa Williams so far on this show, but she's really playing the exact same character she did on Ugly Betty and South Beach. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I don't see a reason for her t stick around beyond this season.

The rest of the episode was alright, but this show is just not as good as it used to be, or even was last year to be honest. This Susan internet feed thing needs to end immediately too.

Quite a lot of interesting things happened and there are quite a lot of shout-outs, so bare with me:

First Shout: Susan/Teri Hatcher - she is now becoming one of the best raunchy housewives and its easy to see Teri is loving every minute. Loved how her tiff with Stacey broke the server. Also love Maxine and her witty remarks. Second Shout: Rene (and the casting people for choosing Vanessa Williams) its great to see more of Williams - she seems to fit into the show rather easily. Her scenes with Bree were great and its nice to have some rivarly back on the show again. Third Shout: Beth and Paul what a freaky couple. But very well acted. And Mark Moses freaks me out.

Final Shout: Marcia Cross' boobs. Where the hell did they come from?
