The episode begins with Mary Alice telling us about Danny Farrell, the paper boy who everyone hates. Susan goes over to Edie's house and sees her ex husband Karl. She learns that Karl and Edie slept together. Going back to her house, Danny begins annoying her and when he goes away, Susan throws her paper at him and he falls off his bike. In the episode, Susan and Mike make out and go ahead with their relationship. Susan is furious to learn that Julie has known about this all along. Edie is in a skimpy outfit on rollerblades and rubs it in that she and Karl had the best sex ever. She follows Susan up to the point when she tells Susan that she knows her and Mike are over. Susan is shocked and goes backwards to explain to Edie but she runs Edie over instead!
Bree is still being driven crazy by her mother in law Phyllis. Bree tells Phyllis that she needs to control herself when in public. Bree and Phyllis are in a restaurant and when Lynette walks over to express her condolences, Phyllis is out of control! She begins sobbing and crying! Bree walks over to Phyllis and slaps her! Phyllis stops crying. Phyllis sees Bree and George hugging at night and calls a PI to ask them if they are aware that Bree has a "boyfriend".
Carlos took Gabrielle's access to their account away. Gabrielle learns that she has to pay an inmate's girlfriend or else Carlos will be beaten up. She goes to the woman's (Rita) house and learns that Rita is in need of a boob job. Rita doesn't want to but if she doesn't get them enlarged, her boyfriend will break up with her. Gabrielle takes her money back after successfully convincing Rita out of the boob job. When she returns to prison, Carlos has been beaten up and he makes her go back to Rita and make her "jugs the of Texas".
Since going back to work, Lynette has returned to a dirty and messy home. She is angry because Tom has a system. In the end, Lynette is successful in making Tom clean the house. Betty's prisoner is making a lot of noise and it's starting to get to Matthew. Betty tells him not to talk to the prisoner, it's the prisoner's punishment. Susan is suspicious and asks Betty if there's renovations going on. Betty covers up by saying that Matthew is inside and making a lot of noise. However, Matthew walks straight past them, making Susan even more suspicious. Betty later talks to a therapist on how she used to be beaten up by her husband and how he killed her youngest child. The doctor tells her he hopes the husband was punished and Betty replies "there was retribution, i made sure of that". Betty is given sleeping tablets. Is Betty's story true or are the sleeping tablets for her prisoner?
The episode ends with Mary Alice saying "Control....it's extraordinary the tactics people employ to obtain it (shows Betty making the tray)
