    • QUOTES (4)

      • Josh: If we see the fangalobolo tonight, what are you going to do?
Ali: If this fangalobolo does attack people's hair, it's going to go for me first.
        Mike: What about me?
        Ali: Mike, your hair's filthy!
Mike: My hair's beautiful! I don't have to wash it, it's naturally glistening!

      • Josh: (sarcastically, upon seeing a pair of decrepit wooden canoes) Oh, this is perfect! When you're going in a place called 'Crocodile Cave', this is the kind of boat you want: reliable, sturdy... can crocodiles bite through wood?
Vanessa: Yeah! And flesh, and bone...

      • Josh: (after Dr Dines floats a few theories about the claw, then shoots them down himself) Jim, you're just vamping right now, aren't you? You've got nothing!
Jim Dines: You know, I've got nothing here.
        Josh: I've finally stumped you!
        Jim Dines: You have.
Josh: This is it! I have... my dream in life has been to come down to this warehouse and have you not know what something is.
        Jim Dines: Mission accomplished.

      • Josh: (partying with the indigenous people of Guam) You know what they say, it's not a Chamorro party until your paramedic ends up passed out on a water buffalo!

    • NOTES (1)

      • The Taotaomona of the Chamorro are ancestral spirits which inhabit wild places in the Mariana Islands, including Guam. The spirits shelter in trees, and are not actually physical creatures like zombies, but rather more like ghosts.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Josh: (as he carefully crosses a rickety rope bridge) Nice bridge, nice bridge... I loved your work in Temple of Doom...
Josh is referring to the second Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which includes a scene in which Indy is forced to cross an even more dilapidated bridge over a gorge.
