A mysterious man asks Mouri Kogoro to go to Yokohama. Ran Mouri, Conan Edogawa and the Detective Boys (Ai, Genta, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko) go with him. But it was a trap, and Ran and the Detective Boys are taken as hostage. The case, that the mysterious man gave Kogoro, must be solved within 12 hours, or else the bomb, that is worn by Ran and the others, will explode. The criminal also knows that Conan is Shinichi Kudo. Heiji Hattori and Kaito Kid also appear. But who is the criminal? And will Conan and the others manage to save Ran and the Detective Boys?
This movie is awesome! It's the best Detective Conan movie yet. It had a good, suspenceful mystery, and the action that is usually found more in the movies than in the TV series. It not only has Heiji (my favorite character) in it but, it also has Kaito Kid (second favorite) and Hakuba, who hardly ever appears (I can only think of one of two episodes that he was in). It starts off with Kogorou and Conan being summoned to solve a case (the client thinks Conan is Shinichi). The client reveals that he has put bombs on them, as well as Ran and the Detective Boys. Later, Conan meets up with Heiji who reveals that that he and Kazuha also have bombs strapped to their wrists. Eventually, the two of them meet up with Hakuba (this is the first time that Heiji has ever met Hakuba). Hakuba tells them that he too has a bomb on him and tells that someone dear to him is being held hostage as well (this leaves us to assume that he is talking about Aoko, whom he has a crush on - not that you would know that unless you have read the Magic Kaito manga). The plot takes many twists and turns and ends up with a somewhat surprising ending.
Anyway, this is terrific movie (the best yet) and even you are not a Detective Conan fan, you would probably still enjoy it.
