Episode Summary

Dee Dee has a new boyfriend who likes science and Einstein, and the boy finds himself caught in a vicious tug of war...

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Dexter and DeeDee's silliness is back!

Some of the episodes from the show's thrid season were really boring and had no sense of humor in them. The animation was also pretty bad, and I couldn't stand Dexter's new voice. But now, in the show's fourth season, everything has been dramatically improved! Dexter's and DeeDee's old humor is back! Thanks to Paul Stec's new animation, the characters and backgrounds almost look like their original "second-season" design. I've also noticed that Dexter's voice sounds more like Cavanaugh's old voice. Candi Milo must've practiced harder. Overall, this episode, and the rest of the season, are some of the classics.moreless

  • NOTES (2)

    • Looks like the family cleaned out the basement, as seen in "Scare Tactics"

    • Season 4 brought changes to the show:

The title cards have a design, instead of nothing!

Since Paul Stec replaces Dave Smith as the Art Director, the background design has been incredibly improved. There is actual detail to Dexter's lab, house, and city. The storyboards look great now. No more completely horizontal floors or ugly color balance.

Kat Cressida, who voiced DeeDee in Season 2, returns to the role.

The writing is remarkably tightened. No more padding or dragging. The episodes are silly and wacky again, and at no point does the show get boring now.

The episode lengths are now 7-minutes each, because the other technique didn't work. (Instead of 9/3/9 it is 7/7/7)

Season 4 looked like it did much better than Season 3.
