The footprint that Dexter fell in at the beginning of the episode was several feet deep, but Sassy's footprints throughout the rest of the episode are only about a centimeter deep.
First, Dexter made a tiny hole in the balloon ship. Then it was one giant hole!
Dexter: (Looking for Sassquatch) Why it's taking so long?! I should have been famous minutes ago.
Dexter: Well, then, whose prints are those with the large ones? (Dee Dee shows off her large feet up-close to the camera and wiggles her toes)
Dee Dee: Sassy, what are your dreams? Sassy: Woof!
Dexter: I'm in a hole.
Dee Dee: You must be a Sasquatch. I'll call you Sassy! Sassy: Woof!
This episode of Dexter's Laboratory puts in a message about fire safety, in preventing forest fires. Similarly, another Hanna-Barbera/Cartoon Network show, Cow and Chicken, did a fire safety message around the same time here, in the episode "The Ugliest Weenie," except it was about getting out of a burning building.
This is the only episode where Dee Dee uses her large bare feet for most of this episode.
Smokem the Bear is a parody from Smokey (a bear that talks about forest fires).
This is the only time we see Dee Dee in a different hair style. She is wearing braided pigtails; normally she wears upright, puffy pigtails.
Dad: And remember, only you can prevent forest fires. This is the famous slogan used by Smokey the Bear.
Episode Title: Sassy Come Home
"Sassy Come Home" is a humorous parody of Lassie Come Home. Until he discovers that Sasquatch is in love with Dee Dee and her large feet.
