      • In the episode "Figure Not Included," when Dexter asked for a Major Glory action figure, his mother said he could have one for his birthday. But in this episode, when she finds one in the cart, she exclaims, "Dexter doesn't need this junk!" and throws it away. So Mom broke her promise to Dexter. However, it is possible she forgot her promise.

      • It's implied that Mom and Dad still think Dexter's a baby, because they buy baby toys and think action figures are junk for him.

      • If this is Dexter's birthday, that means this episode is supposed to take place between December 21 and January 21, because we find out in "A Hard Day's Day" that Dexter's astrological sign is Capricorn.

      • When Dexter was opening his presents, the other kids only saw him in invisibility when he got the Major Glory action figure. Why didn't they see him open the other boxes?
