This is the second episode where Dad goes crazy when he is deprived of something. The first is "Topped Off," where he goes crazy when Dexter and Dee Dee drink all the coffee.

When Dad, pretending to be Mom, suggests that they go to Chubby Cheese's, Dexter is exited to go. However, in the episode, "Chubby Cheese," Dexter totally hates that restaurant. Although, it is possible that between the episodes, Dexter began liking Chubby Cheese's.

When Mom says, "Dinner! Oh my goodness! I forgot the roast!" it's supposed to be around dinner time, right? And she said she had to run to the store. This is roast that we're talking about here; doesn't Mom realize how long roast takes to prepare? Response: Apparently someones going to have to have a late dinner.
