The episode was funny and quirky, but let's face it; that's expected of all Dharma and Greg episodes. The element that set this particular episode apart was the genuine emotional display from Greg that was for anything but the laugh.
It's always nice to see some reality and heavienss poke through the constant "set up, joke" format that befalls all sitcoms. The episode didn't stop with the tears, however. It brought the subject back up and attempted to work through the issue with a levity that didn't cheapen the issue altogether.
It was a breath of fresh air to step away from the comedy that can become all too predicting at times and try to hit something with meaning and substance as this show often did. Good job!
Pros: Provided more than just fluff and mindless entertainment, but still gave us the laughs we were looking for.
Cons: Got a little rediculous at times, but the characters allow some room for it.
