In this episode, we have a murder committed in front of an audience in a crowded theater, with half of a Penn & Teller-type act killed in an illusion gone wrong. With every suspect a master of slight-of-hand and deception, Mark has his hands full. Fortunately, the good doctor is also an amateur magician as well as amateur sleuth. (But for such a great detective, I don't know how he didn't see right through Steve's "undercover" disguise of ponytail and sunglasses!)
Some nice scenes in this one, with Mark interviewing suspects while getting tied up (literally!) in some of their tricks and illusions. The denouement is also well done, with an old trick used to flush out the murderer. Another strong mystery where figuring out the "how" is just as important as discovering the "who."
