It all started when they were stuck in some sort of pipeline.Unable to get out.Cody was blaming himself for all this.Even the digi egg as well.He got too excited thinking that it could be his digi-egg.He just tooked off without thinking that it could be an trapped. The digi destined remained stucked there.Their only hope was Joe and his digimon to save them.Cody was afraid to leave them.He had to lie to his mom and his grandpa.Of course his grandpa told him about the lying thing.Which got Cody upset.I think in the end Cody learn more about the ocean not to be afriad and also its alright to lie. When its something important.moreless

    • Kari: It's good to see you again. Have you lost weight?
      Whamon: A couple pounds.

    • Yolei: Here's what we're gonna do. We'll draw straws, and whoever wins gets to go.
Armadillomon: It sounds fair to me.
Davis: Not me. I'm not good at drawing!

    • Wormmon: What are you going to do to those kids, master?
Ken: I don't have time for them. I'm taking over the world at noon! And then I have have a lunch date.

    • Armadillomon: (cheering them up) Now, how's about a nice game of checkers? We could use my shell as the board.
Kari: I'm sorry, but I don't fell like playing a game right now.

    • (after Cody picked the a straw with red on it)
      Yolei: Cody you're it!
Kari: I can't believe you pick the first straw on the first try!
Armadillomon: Talk about beginner's luck, that was amazing Cody!
      TK: So climb in!
(Cody was suspicious about the game and hit Yolei's hand with the straws)
Yolei: Hey! What did you do that for!?
Cody: All the straws have red on them!
Yolei: The first one was so pretty, I just couldn't stop coloring.
      Cody: You cheated!

    • T.K.: (as MegaSeadramon attacks the oil platform) This is really going to hike up oil prices!

  • NOTES (5)

    • In the Japanese version, Cody did not originally have a fear of water. He was instead blaming himself for letting himself and his friends get trapped under the sea.

    • When Yolei narrates the recap of the previous episode, she refers to the Control Spire as the Dark Tower. In the Japanese version of the show, the Control Spires were called the Dark Towers.

    • This episode and "The Samurai of Sincerity", do not happen in the manga, due to the fact that in the manga the Digi-Eggs of Friendship, Reliability, and Sincerity are found at the same time.

    • In the original Japanese version, the Whamon featured isn't the same one from Season 1. This Whamon is actually a different one who came just to help Joe and Cody rescue the others from the undersea part of the offshore oil platform while Ikkakumon battled MegaSeadramon.

    • Submarimon makes his debut.
