  • Christmas time and all the original digi destined get their special christmas present which was getting their digimon.Altough there was many things that messed up in this episode.I think some of us can see the mistakes.moreless

Yeah it started wreacking the control spire.Ken inviting the digi destined to his house. While the original digi destined goes to Matt\\\'s concert. Before the concert Sora, was carrying an present for Matt some cookies.Tai coming up and asking if she\\\'s going with anyone to the concert. But she was sorta blushing. She tells him that she wanted to see if Matt was free.Tai didn\\\'t say anything. All he said \\\"I\\\'ll be waiting\\\" meaning that he\\\'ll wait for her.I thought Tai and Sora, would end up together.Since when did Matt become her love life? I mean there\\\'s no proof that Matt liked Sora.Season 1 was proof of Taiora! Probbably she has to hide her feelings from Tai.When I saw the episode where June mention that Matt went to save Sora.I was like //Why! Did she have to do that breaking Tai\\\'s heart// It seemed that she was breaking Tai\\\'s heart.I wanted to cry.I am an big fan of Tai and Sora being together. No matter what I will be an Taiora fan forever.moreless
  • One of the most \\\'infamous\\\' episode if not THE most infamous.

All I can say, is that episode was shocking and disapointing on my part. I could\\\'ve sworn that Sora would end up with Tai. When did Matt came to the picture? They weren\\\'t even talking to each other at all in the first season and I swear that Tai and Sora\\\'s relationship was special then and there. There is also the \\\'letting-go\\\' part, I think it\\\'s really awesome for Tai to have let Sora go just like that even though you could tell that he was really hurt by the whole thing. When I was watching this episode I was like \\\'how did that happened?!\\\' I wouldn\\\'t say that this episode is just wrong but it is really one of the most disapointing episodes I\\\'ve ever seen. Tai and Sora 4ever!!!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Matt and his band, "The Teenage Wolves" perform "Turn Around".

    • If you watch the beginning of this episode you see that Sora still has feelings for Tai, but Tai basically ignores her, so Sora decides to try and make Tai mad by going out with Matt. When Matt saves her at the rock concert then she begins to have feelings for Matt, and that eventually leads to them getting married.

    • There is something that still bugs me. I could've sworn that Sora had a crush on Tai and not Matt. I mean their relationship was really strong in Digimon Adventures (relating to episodes 16, 19, 20 and the first movie "Our War Game"). So how does Matt come into the picture of this relationship? Really I'd like to know.

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Tentomon (as Izzy gasps): What's the matter Izzy? Did your computer freeze again?

    • Arukenimon: I love the holiday season, Mummymon. All those smiling faces - all the better when we give them something to frown about!

    • Announcer: Attention, holiday shoppers! Get into the spirit of the season and spend, spend, spend!

    • Davis: Hey guys, Ken's got something to show everybody!
Ken: (thinking sarcastically) Thanks a lot, Davis. Great, no pressure.

    • Davis: Oh-No, I forgot to kiss Kari under the mistletoe!
Tai: He never quits. Davis, take it from me, you'll never learn about women.

    • Digmon: (To Snimon) Didn't we meet in Metal Shop?

    • Gabumon: Matt's a really good singer! Although I may be biased...

    • Mr. Ishida: Sorry, Matt. I'll be working late tonight, so you'll have to make your own dinner, sport.
Matt: That's OK Dad, don't worry about it. My band's got a gig tonight, anyway. Besides, you're a lousy cook!
Mr. Ishida: Very funny. That's not what you said when you wolfed down my Tuna Surprise!
Matt: Well, the surprise is on you, Dad, I fed it to the dog!

    • Ken: (Thinking) It looks like Cody still hates me. Well, here it goes.
Cody: (Thinking) It looks like Ken still hates me. Well, here he comes.
Ken: Here you go, Cody. You're invited, too.
Cody: Really? I'm glad I made your list!

    • Ken: Ahem. I request the honor of your presence at a holiday celebration. That is...
TK: Say no more. You're having a Christmas party. We're in!
Veemon: Hey Ken, can we come?
Ken: Of course! Maybe you'll even catch Gatomon under the mistletoe!

    • Davis/Yolei: 2, 4, 6, 8, Who do we appreciate? Us!

    • Ken: Can't we go any faster?
Davis: Don't be a backseat driver, Ken.

    • Matt: (to Digimon) HEY! You ruined my concert!
Tai: Matt, I'm so glad to see you're focused!

    • Tai: I'll be waiting, thanks.
Agumon: (After Sora is gone) You know what Tai?
      Tai: What?
      Agumon: You've really grown up!

    • Kari's Poem:
Twas' a Digimon Christmas and everyone was busy,
Especially the likes of Tentomon and Izzy,
Joe played with Gomamon, Matt and Gabumon Ate,
Palmon saw Mimi, isn't that great?
Cody and Upamon shared a little Sushi,
While Poromon sat on Yolei's "Tooshi"
Tokomon went caroling, Ken's thankful for friends,
While in Davis' dreams the fun never ends,
      Goodnight now. Merry Christmas.

    • Yolei: What do you guys wanna play?
Davis: How about strip-(Ken's mom interrupts)

  • NOTES (8)

    • Davis: Oh-No, I forgot to kiss Kari under the mistletoe!

Kissing under the mistletoe is a custom Christmas cheer any two people who find themselves under one must kiss. This tradition has Scandinavian (Historical and Geographical region centered in Northern Europe) origins.

    • Kari's Poem:

Kari's Poem is based on the Christmas poem: "Twas the Night before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore

    • Sound Crew Member: Woodstock, now that was a concert.

This is a reference to the Woodstock Festival in the United States back in the 60s. Strange that someone from Japan would mention this.
