Takato: You're back...
Guilmon: Is it time for lunch yet?
Takato (chuckles): You can have anything you want, Guilmon.
Makuramon: Get your hands off me! I'm a Deva! You're nothing, less then nothing, you hear me?!
Beelzemon: You talk too much, monkey boy, but you do have something I need! (destroys him and uploads his data)
Beelzemon: Hey, what's going on here huh?! (in response to Guilmon and Takato forming Gallantmon)
Gallantmon: Beelzemon you rejected every friendship offered you. In doing so, you betrayed them and destroyed a valiant soul! I cannot forgive what you have done.
Beelzemon: You can't forgive me? I don't recall ever asking you to forgive me! We'll talk about forgiveness when I wipe you out of existence!
Gallantmon: So be it!
Jeri: (to Takato about Megidramon) Stop. Don't come near me. Guilmon was so sweet and cute and look what you did to him.
This episode was published in the manga Digimon Tamers Volume 4.
It is revealed that absorbing multiple opponents' data in rapid succession can overload a Digimon, briefly making them uncontrollably sprout portions of the defeated enemies' bodys.
Japanese Title: "The Name Is Dukemon! The True Ultimate Evolution"
This is the second time in the series that a Digi-Destined's Digimon digivolved into a rogue form. The first time was when Tai forced Greymon to digivolve into Skullgreymon.
The "Digital Hazard" sign appears again on the hand of Lucemon in season 4.
This is the first time a human has become a Digimon in any way.
In season two, there was a big hoot about the digidestined actually doing the fighting. However, Gallantmon is the first occurence of any human ever joining a fight. (Depending on whether you count Tai and Matt's joining Omnimon in the first movie as "fighting".)
The title for this episode was taken from the 1977 Supertramp song of the same name, which was covered in 2004 by the Goo Goo Dolls.
The mark on Guilmon's body, which glow on Megidramon, is called the "Digital Hazard", much like the hazard sign of a nuclear meltdown.
As explained in another continuty {Digimon Chronicle}, the Digital Hazard causes a chain of events that destory the entire Digital World when it has overloaded capicity.
Takato's dreams scenes are much like Shinji's in Evangelion [But Shinji's had most of the Eva cast].
A new type of Digimon Evolution, Human + Digimon. In the original, only Guilmon spoke as Gallantmon, whose original name was "Dukemon". And also, most of his dialoague had "I, Dukemon".
